And for those asking why didn't I throw it in the sea, a river, a blender or down some stairs? Simple, I don't believe in scratching, denting and damaging a perfectly fine phone. You're welcome to get your own and throw it against a wall to see if it's really durable 😂

@@theboshane Xiaomi didnt bother with chipset performance that is fine.. They tried as hard as they can to beat it out of the camera with some proper software this could be the best camera out there.

My 2nd Ulefone, first was the S9 for a mere 72 euro's well spend. I did many tests for my friends and family to show them how good that phone (mind: the S9) actually is. I threw it around, stood on it smashed it against the wall and it still worked. Now, I sold the S9 for 50 euro's to my neighbour and bought the Armor 6e. I have it for almost a year now, bought it when it came out last year what was it, february? I dont remember. But boy. This 6e model delivers. And how. People here telling about broken glass?? Impossible. I smashed with a HAMMER on it it did NOT break not even a scratch! Not waterproof?? I have a pond in my garden and I took pictures at a depth of 50 centimeters..my fish said "cheese" so the 6e IS waterproof. I did every hard test to it just to show what ruggedness means to this phone... it's absolutely a WINNER in all aspects. Fast charging through micro-USB, normal use will give you 2 to 4 days without charging, depending on App's running of course. Sound is good, clear and loud enough. The screen is amazing, watching Netflix or live events is no problem at all. It runs all App's I have installed no problem. One disadvantage though... because it is a truly waterproof and water resistant product it lacks open connections such as a earphone jack. But I bypassed that with a bluetooth soundbox. Jojo out.

It is ideal especially for people who have jobs where the mobile suffers more or for people who do many excursions and this mobile is off-road. I loved the design it has, and the truth is that I like it a lot for the type of mobile it is. I needed it to use it at work and it suits me perfectly. I am delighted with him.

@@Techtablets did you have any issues with bluetooth knocking out the wifi? I have the 6E and bluetooth audio is great unless you want to use wifi connection at the same time. So not possible to access any network via wifi whilst bluetooth connected :(

I have bought and sold a few of these from BlackView and Ulefone. My brother in law showed me his Armor 6 last week. Rubber is peeling off - bought in Jan. My dad's BlackView BV9600. Cracked screen can't get spares to repair - waiting now 2 months and Blackview forums don't even respond. My brother has an AGM A9 - loves it but says camera is crap. Pity - such a pity,

Man, I really miss that intro jingle for a long time. As for that rugged Ulefone smartphone, if they can drop the price, it would have been a decent phone for those outdoor-goers & do occasional mobile gaming like PUBG or COD Mobile. By the way, are you planning to do a review on Xiaomi's SD730G Mi Note 10/CC9 Pro or wait until the price is right & a stable GCam port is out? I am sure GCam modders can take the advantage of 108MP main camera for astrophotography mode.

Hi, Thanks for the excellent review. So in your opinion, is this Ulefone Armor 7 the best possible choice for someone looking for a solid, waterproof and yet convenient and entertaining (gaming, movies and MP3 playing) device for his active daily routine (sport in moisturized environments, lots of drops) ? Else which model, in the same price range, would you recommend to top this one ? Im tired of buying fragile flagships 1000+ € and changing back or/and front screens every now and then (80€/every time for my Note 8). Thank you.

I came across this review as I am looking into getting a rugged phone as I have had some top makes of phones and they have all broken around the 4 to 6 month mark. I found this review to be excellent, I love the fact that you don't find the need to launch it at the nearest brick wall ect: shame about the camera and the earphone jack. (Put me right off it) Thanks for a great review.

From experience because I've got 3 models. They'll overheat eventually, the rubber will pop out before the 1st year and they do stop giving support after the first 6 months. Ulephone launches the phones and then doesn't supports them and they're not getting cheap at all. Have the Armor 3T and I'm very happy with it, suits me perfectly! For comparison, also have a Galaxy A8 for 2 weeks now and the display is already cracked -.- While the Armor is fully battle tested already and still going strong besides the ruber on the back decided to pop out. But for 500 euros, they can kiss my ass, it's not worthy at all. Thanks for your review!

That is usually the thing that do cost the most to develop for smaller brands. These brands can put in low cost and low effort into using off-the-shelf parts but by keeping cost low they cannot really put in any time and resources into software. Programming and optimizing takes a lot of time and money.

Great review. I appreciate you doing this. I decided to give it a try because I'm tired of dropping $1000+ for a mainstream flagship phone and my work takes me to a variety of environments from plush to harsh and everything in between. Picked it up for $370 USD. Also got a USB Bluetooth 3.5mm adapter for $10 for the audio in on my vehicle, so we'll see if this covers for the lack of headphone jack. I noticed no cases are available yet.

Got one a few weeks ago, aaaand its sold yesterday 😂 a good phone overall, really no major complaints on the overall capabilities.. BUT the side mounted fingerprint sensor is ALWAYS activated accidentaly, so most of the time i have to open my phone with the password i set, and (the deal breaker for me) are the cameras. It seems to me that the top 2 cameras are dummy, never could activate them in any camera app, nor they showed up in any "hardware benchmarking" app , it was always the third camera (on the bottom of the row) what was activated, and that camera was more like 10 megapixels instead of 64 (confirmed by 2 out of 3 apps that it was at 8 megapixels) 😂 On top of all that there is extreme red/purple tint on all of the pictures i taken, plus it makes comparatively LESS detailed pictures than my old LG V20 from 2016, both at full resolution, with everything maxed out.. so the specs arent what they seem to be. The camera is basically useless, even for instagram, the quality is just unacceptable for a phone marketed as a 64megapixel shooter. I didnt anticipate for flagship sensors, but this was underwhelming even my pretty low set bars. So the phone is sold. Its sturdy and all, but i kinda dont like to be cheated if i pay for something.

Actually it is kind of a repurposed blzackview 9600pro. At least the exterior is indeed the very same chassis, but the all important internals have evolved a little.

I looked at Blackview, the need for a special long USB cable however pushed me to the Armor 6E. I will live with all the drawbacks with the Ulefone in exchange for the fantastic battery. A useable tool is preferable to me than a fashion statement!

Id love to see that as well! I had the armor 2 and returned it after a couple weeks because it was complete junk! Ive considered the agm x3, doogee, newer ulephones, cat phones, blackviews etc... I have an unusual job that makes it necessary for me to have a very tough phone but also with good specs, a walkie talkie would be very nice, and a flir would as well. In a device that lasts all week on a single charge and it bullet proof and can turn into a submarine or a drone for special operations i want all the batman goodies!

Haha I know huge change. They used to be so bad at GPS but this wasn't normal. Ulefone must have a larger antenna or something. Best Snapdragon accuracy I've seen is 2m on the realme 3 Pro.

You don't have to press the power button... And it works well, both face recognition and touch alone. He is right about the sensitivity of the touch sensor.. It does register to many touches but this is way better than my note 10 plus screen finger print recognition... I hated it so much, I got rid of the phone.

I understand you keep calling it "chunky" but lets face it. What you don't hear from reviews is people saying "it's thin and the battery life sucks" over and over. I have the Armor W3. Want to talk about HEAVY and CHUNKY? But it's a SMALL price to pay when I can go 4 days w/o a charge and actually use the phone. You WON"T find that with Samsung or Apple.

You guys never heard of the CAT rugged phones? I mean it's the same brand that is making bulldozers and some other heavy-duty vehicles so they are also making phones that can withstand those rough environments. They are the most popular brand here in the Eastern Europe and also I have seen some Doogee phones that are also rugged.

@@skoda9635 CAT branded phones are usually just OEM models that are rebranded or re-skinned, no actual improvements over the more value oriented options, if you want a rugged phone theirs a few that are designed for use on oil rigs, in nuclear power stations, and other similarly harsh environments/areas with high radiation.

@@officialweji6232 All my phones are bricks with 5000 mAh batteries or larger. I've lost count of how many times I have drop kicked my xiaomi mi max 2 across the room. Huawei Mediapad x1 was even more of a tank. I got clipped by a motorcycle and it got dented but still worked.

I doubt it. It is water resistant but salt water is like kryptonite to electronics.

I got the armour s6 and alot of the games simply don't get past the initial load screen games like Minecraft also do this my old phone didn't have this problem so it's the phone's software it's also unroutable and the phone bricks itself if you try it very disappointed with it

Worst brand, worst model, worst support. I bought 2 ulefone, 1 gave screen issues after 2 months and support only replies to messages every 2 weeks. After some demands my ceased to respond (6 months have passed). Ulefone never again !!!

The only reason I will not consider buying a Ulefone again is due to updates. They never release upgrades and I mean never. Its a good phone I have a Armor 6. No updates. Sorry not acceptable. This wil be my last Ulefone unless they proof me wrong and push updates.

Like it's heavy and it takes to long to unlock and the camera takes shit photos. I have done alot of research to see what my next phone would be and I choose this one for the long battery life and strong long lasting design. Every review on every phone that I watched they complain about how pour the camera is. How about this if you want quality photos buy a quality camera.

The Taliban have enough problems already, like, lack of funding, resources, internal struggles, and the usual stuff that all poorly organised groups have....

@@MisterMakerNL Incorrect. GPS is a passive device. It ONLY works as a receiver. You must receive signals from three satellites to know your position. GPS in the phone works without a SIM card and a wireless radio turned off. GPS do not have operating system. It is 24 satellites in a geostationary orbit emitting signals. You will get spotted if you use a cell phone as intended - with a cellular radio running.
