Ulm is a city in Baden-Württemberg, Germany and the birthplace of Albert Einstein. Ulm is located on the river Danube on the border of Bavaria and is the administrative seat of the Alb-Donau region (Stadtkreis). The city was a free Reichsstadt (free imperial city) and became very rich in the Middle Ages as it was situated halfway Stuttgart and Munich ( München) situated on the river Danube on the border with Bavaria.
Ulm has a of more than 130,000 and forms a metropolitan region of its own (German: Stadtkreis). Moreover, it is the administrative seat of the Alb-Donau district. Ulm is world known for having the highest and tallest steeple in the world with 162m (or 530 ft) and the Gothic Minster (Ulmer Münster).
