The must have precision tool for wood working. A fantastic German made woodworking/ wood cutting saw.
You can buy a brand new one today for almost $600 USD or € 500. ( Bloody expensive)
I bought mine for $25 a few years ago. It was clearly broken and poorly welded back together and painted in blue .
Fortunately still very straight ( possibly a couple of degrees on/off but accurate enough for me personally.
The Hammered Blue colour choice is my personal choice.

Lovely restoration buddy. Whatever that wood was for the base board is pure artistry. The grain pattern is beautiful. I may have to give mine a spit and polish now.

Thanks mate - That piece of wood came out of thrown away tv cabinet. I had no idea what was under the paint. The rest of it has gone to the tip 😢

I have the 354 that I also got a deal on. Its a fantastic tool and you can still get parts for it.

Great tool I agree. Unfortunately I haven't found anyone in Australia who sell the parts so I had to buy the guide rings from Germany. Thanks for watching 👍

@@LittleRestorers Peck Tools in the US sells parts. And Amazon in the US. Germany is probably a better bet for Australia.

Outstanding job! Can’t believe the level of detail and dedication you’re giving it. I thought that screw was a goner for sure but no, there it is in its original glory! Amazing. I got the same saw, in much better shape but still in need of a thorough cleanup and I’m still deciding if I find your example inspiring or intimidating :)

Thanks for watching and leaving such a great comment. It's a really great tool to use. Don't be intimidated by my restoration, there's no better satisfaction than doing up something for yourself. Interestingly, parts are still available for the Ulmia but they really expensive and have to be ordered from overseas. I bought the new blades from ebay but they not as good as the original ones so I will get the proper ones eventually. All the best cleaning up your 👍

Amazing Restoration Brother. Looks better than new. It's impressive how you can bring that amount of detail to every project you approach. Your restoration and cinema skills just keep getting better every time. I think this is my favorite one thus far. Keep on rocking it!!! Where did you find the new blade?🍻

Thank you Captain - Filming and editing is a lot of work. Every video is not just a restoration challenge but challenge of technical skills , wife's patience and kids tantrums 🤣 Got the blades from a domestic seller off ebay. Right size but not great quality. Am gonna save up for a nice Japanese blade 😁👍

@@LittleRestorers XXXX Man, There is way more work involved than just the restoration. Team Little Restorers should give themselves a big pat on the back. Take care looking forward to the next one.

Great execution and result! Congrats! Have you considered to use the original colors? I've just bought an identical one with less damages but more rust. I'm considering to bring it back to the original green/red but I cannot find the RAL.

Hi, thanks for watching. My intention was to paint it Green like the original colour but I had the same problem with finding the paint. There's only a limited range of hammer tone colours over here in Australia. All the best restoring yours 👍

How straight/flat is your cast iron base? Ive bought a similar saw, albeit in a bit better condition and it has like 1mm deviance over its length😢
