@@tominieminen66 In the Von Carstein Novels it is mentioned that Vlad rides an undead horse and does not state he goes into battle on foot (except during the sieges). I can't remember if its stated if he fights on foot in the End Times series. I would just like the option. I can accept he doesn't ride a undead Dragon or a terrorgeist but surely he can have a horse?

I always use SFO, and Vlad on foot is Faster than Blood Knights once he gets his speed buff skills. Dude runs around with 86 speed, Blood Knights coming out at 76, going to like, 82 I think with their buff from the Tech But also just... Characters on horses always seem worse to me. They can't turn as faster, they get wrecked by anti-large, much easier to shoot since they're bigger than the Infantry. Sure Foot Lords gets knocked around more. But remember, they're invulnerable while they're knocked around, so they actually take far less damage Vampires are fast as fuck in the lore, and they're undead so they don't get tired. So a Vampire, is legit just as fast as a Horse in lore, its not going to tire them out regardless. I think Vlad uses a horse in the Lord just for the style of it, cuz he thinks of himself as a proper nobility and rightful empire. And riding a horse is one of the hallmarks of the nobility

@@kharnthebetrayer8251 Obviously I don't have that mod as my Vlad just can't get around the battlefield that fast and certainly is slower than even heavy cav. Maybe after the CDs arrive and all the mods are once more useless until updated I'll review what is available. I'm not saying that foot lords are bad perse I just would like the option to having him on horseback.

Fire effects has been massively improved in 3.0, so most likely, it's a new fancy thing, yes.

They're morale has been really high ever since GW dropped those sick new models.

They've still been pretty mediocre in multi-player, I think they needed the buff.

her missiles are not anti-large, and are frankly not great at killing single entities, especially not ones like Mazdamundi who has very high innate missile resist with Sunburst standard. Ancient Salamanders also have good missile resist. if she doesn't run into melee, Katarin gets bullied much earlier in that fight and this would not have been remotely as close of a game. She could have potentially kited hard while Katarin stays away too, but then Mazda and the Sallys move into the treeline and sit around for 10+ minutes while she tries to chunk them down with her bow. Nobody wants to see that, watch that, or play that in a friendly mp match

More seriously, I wonder if there's a way for CA to program model/unit buffs that trigger on proximity thresholds (ex. "If X number of living models are touching Y number of models in the same unit, apply Z buff to unit stats").

I saw a youtuber doing last stand as a game mode itself with whatever race he wanted so yeah not sure if they can talk about but there are other game modes coming.

they had a few nasty ff shots. but its skinks, they cost 300 gold. not a huge deal yes yes

she isn't anti-large, and her missile attacks would not do much to either Mazdamundi with his Sunburst standard, or to Ancient Salamanders, who have 15% innate missile resist

Mazdamundi has 25% missile resist with Sunburst Standard, and as you said 130 armor. Ulrika does not have ap majority missiles. its split between 155 base, 105 ap, and reload time of 7 seconds. Her missiles barely scratch a character like Mazda, not to mention they can miss. it was absolutely the correct play to run into melee to help out Katarin. She is not a high damage dealer vs. armored SEMs with her bow

fun character, glad she's in. seems quite useful as a Shadows caster and good melee/ranged combatant. would rather have had a FLC LL like imrik or gor rok in comparison to her, because I got so much playtime out of FLC like those ones. but still think she's a worthy addition to the game
