Aidan Morgan will join Ulster Rugby until at least June 2026. Known for his energy and competitiveness on the field, the Auckland-born fly-half, who turns 23 next month and is Irish-Qualified through his Belfast-born grandfather, is set to make the move this summer to Belfast on a two-year contract.
Having represented New Zealand at U20s level, after impressing in the school's campaign in 2019 which saw Kings College secure its first Auckland Schools championship title in over a decade, Aidan went on to be developed through the Hurricanes Academy.
Currently playing for the Hurricanes, Aidan has earned 23 caps across his first three seasons in Super Rugby, where he has become known for his all-action play at fly-half.

Potentially excellent signing. Slick hands, loves to run, has that kiwi flair. Reminds me alot of TJ Perrinara, just fun to watch and right now ulster sorely need that.

Great signing! Ulster really need a good fly-half especially as Billy Burns is leaving, it’s very good that we have Nathan Doak who plays fly-half and Jake Flannery also

Need to build the team around him. He’s 23 and showing a lot of promise. But if hes put in a box and told to do a job/alter his DNA as a player it would be a shame. Yes he’ll have to game manage more than Super but hopefully our 9’s can take some of that responsibility off his shoulders and free him up to stay to true to why they signed him.

You'd struggle to come up with a Billy BUrns highlight reel as good as that and he's played a lot more. On the new Ulster pitch with guys like Lowry and McElroy it could be very exciting.

That’s bollocks Burns has made tons of line breaks over the years and just because you can score the long range tries doesn’t make you a good 10 a great example of this is Mike Lowry

His highlights look good but you take them with a pinch of salt. He won’t get near Ireland selection as it is. Players just don’t walk into international selection these days. Haven’t read overwhelming reports about him. He’ll definitely have to prove his worth. He’s young so time on his side to develop. We already have our own Dan Carter in Munster’s Jack Crowley.. 23/24 yo who stepped in for Ireland post Sexton. Very talented all rounder. He was understudy to Sexton for 2 years. On top of that we had Munster no.2 OH Ben Healy who is Irish born/bred but wasn’t been selected for Irish duty for whatever reason and in stepped Edinburgh who signed him (Scottish mother) with offers of international caps for Scotland and big money etc. We have several OH’s from Leinster fighting it out as back up Ireland OH. So stocks are ok.. now if this lad is a B Barrett, than different story.

@@factsandlogic4709Crowley is more than good. He’s 24 now & has been learning his trade. He’s raised his game his season. Gonna be one of the best in the world in 2 or 3 years.. getting there. Our next best could have been Ben Healy who Scotland stole from us with big money offer & guarantee of Scotland cap & 2023 World Cup spot which he got. Ross Byrne is not good enough for Ireland & Frawley untested but has ability. The star man we are all wondering about is Leinster & 2023 Ireland u20 Cian Prendergast.. he could be fighting it out with Crowley in next year or two. He has it all but needs to gain experience & physically develop a bit more.

He’d need to be a guaranteed starter for Ulster and play for at least 3-5 seasons, that’s if he stays for that long to be in contention for Ireland selection

Looks good, and I assume he has been recruited with an eye to him possibly going into the Ireland setup?
