Well, I mean Stratten and Selena died pretty violently at the hands of people who proposed to have loved them, while Ofra Haza contracted a disease from a guy who apparently knew he had it but didn't disclose it to anyone. By comparison, Aaliyah's death was pretty benign but not by much. All four had such promise and died miserably.

Very interesting wasn't aware of some these facts - so I'd venture to say that Selena actually was "tragic" as tragedy usually belies some individual flaw (in her case a trusting nature, as was the case with Dorothy Stratten as well), while Aaliyah's death was flat out senseless - unless you buy into conspiracies that she was "murdered" or something.

And when I think about how corrupted the music industry has become I think maybe that's why God took her so early because maybe God didn't want her to be corrupted or a sell out or get mixed in with the wrong people.
