Today we are going on a Ultimate Food Tour at Ala Moana Shopping Center which is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Make sure you watch to the very end to find out what the hidden gem is. Ala Moana Shopping Center is Hawaii's largest mall and is the worlds largest open air mall. There are two main food courts at Ala Moana, The Makai Food Court and the Lanai Food Court. There are a variety of foods for just about every single person you know.

Used to work AMC Security & was posted in Shirokiya. Loved to eat at Indian restaurant b4 Himalayan Kitchen, moved in,, Saigon Pho, Iyasume Musubi & 81/2 desserts...among others. $$$$ for AMC were reasonable, btwn $15-$17....

Patti's Chinese Kitchen was my last place to eat at Ala Moana 30 years ago before moving to the Mainland California. No moa da kine onolicious food ova hea, I stay hungry and miss Hawaii my home town. Mahalo for posting awesome videos. Keep it up, really appreciate it. Mahalo Charles. Oh I love Da Spot! My favorite is also the Moroccan chicken and I also like the Egyptian chicken. Can't beat the taste for a fresh and healthy meal. I also love Ahi & Veg but only been to the Kalihi and Fort Street Mall location. My fav there is the kim chee spicy ahi. Thanks for taking us along! I haven't been to Ala Moana in years.

I need to try their Egyptian chicken. I really like making my own smoothies too at Da Spot. I think for a large it was like 6 bucks. It was pretty cheap. Fort Street Ahi Vegetable was my go to spot years ago too when I lived in town. Thanks for watching!

Great vid. I miss some of the old spots at Ala Moana & remember liking Patti's Chinese Kitchen & sorry it's long gone. Also miss Farrell's at Pearlridge. Haven't tried your places, all look tasty. Had food at Mai Tai Bar - not sure if they're still around. Cookie Corner is a must for us.

Enjoyed your review! You did a wonderful job of editing and featuring places of interest to locals and visitors alike. Ala Moana has the best shopping and dining, and every time I visit there seems to be a new restaurant or food kiosk to try. I personally have enjoyed Shirokiya Village Walk and trying the various eateries because of the convenience. Sing Ma Tei and Da Spot will definitely be on my must try list, thanks to your convincing review. Please consider doing a follow up exploration and review of Ala Moana dining establishments.

I visited SingMaTei last month after watching your previous video and I have to concur. The food is awesome. Never had Malaysian food before as they are not as common as Chinese, Japanese, or Korean restaurants, but I would go again next time I am at Ala Moana! Now if they would only open a restaurant on the west side! Ka Makana Ali'i??

Thanks for watching! Oh yes I used to go to your main location all the time when I lived down the street. Your food is always so good! I actually went to the spot at its very original location near the McCully recreation center over 16 years ago when it was just a tiny space. Glad to see how successful Da Spot has become!

Thanks Charles. My wife and I tried Singmatei based on your recommendation and you are right. We tried the chicken and tikka massala then we went back the next day and tried the laksa, lemongrass chicken and black pepper beef. Going back to mainland on Wednesday. Most likely will eat that on our last day.

Thanks for watching! Normally when I go to Singmatei I always get the Lemongrass Chicken with the blue rice. you can't go wrong with that. But most recently I would also get a side order of the fried chicken wings too and I'd share that with my family. The curry look fun is good too.

@@AuthenticallyCharles I don't remember the store name. All I recall is the ginormous indoor food court and it was on the far right hand side as you enter the food court. I hope you know how lucky you are to have that place. One can eat there everyday without getting tired of it. Most mainland food courts only have the national chains like Panda Express, Chipotle, Stone Oven, Sarku, Sbarro, Charley's, etc. Mom n Pops stores are a rarity in food courts. Keep up the good work.

When I filmed this video at ala moana it was pretty empty, it was around lunch time. But its SUPER BUSY now. I tried going to ala moana the last couple times and finding parking was rough.

Thanks for watching! I've been to their main location. Always good food. Their original location I was referring to was next to the McCully recreation center in the neighborhood. It was on a side street, a small hole in the wall that was probably a 12x12 space. They have grown a lot. Mahalo!

Makes me wonder how chicken wings that size as well as chicken for the entire world when 1 bird has a left and a right wing and so many restaurant have chicken on their menu. Hmm....
