i chuckled when you counted the remaining vowels... I did this at first as well on woogles until I realized they have a counter for that right below the tiles. Great win!

Scrabble being played against a bot doesn't typically end in an ultra-close come-from-behind victory. Great finish on this one.

I wonder how VETTE(R)/VENTE(R) at the end would have played out. Those were the only moves I managed to spot. What a crazy close game and a great victory. Beating the bot after it pulls both blanks and a 60+ point Z play is fantastic.

Ironically, what a word to win it with! Your bot opponent was beaten with that play! (At the end there, I kept seeing Vet down with the V on the double?)

I'm a scrabble noob, and I suck at anagrams so I'm just generally bad, but would 'venter' starting on K14 have been a decent play for move 19? Edit: I watched the analysis at the end and it was the top play, so I'm feeling pretty chuffed at myself

David isn't changing to Woogles except to play Hastybot. I'm sure they designed it to be clear, so the fact it's less clear for you is useful feedback.

Does the computer plan for future moves or to block its opponent, or does it simply make the best move on the current turn?

It only plays the best move on the current turn, with the factors being the score and rack leave only. If you want to have a bot which calculates board vision as well, you need to use Quackle

Excellent. Vetter/venter at the bottom looked like it gave the best chance of being able to go out next go and just outrunning Hasty.

@@SaraMGreads I'm actually curious how good its analyzer is. David noticed that on turn 11, it ranked a play that scored 27 and left 5 consonants on the rack above one that scored 18 and left 3 consonants. It probably saw the J in the rack leave and tanked the score while we meat sacks could see there were several valuable places the J could be played next turn. Also, David seemed to think that the rack leaves alone called the analyzer into question.
