Powerless is purely a vibes book- no one will ever say it’s a well written fantasy book cause it’s not- like why are these trials even happening? 😂 but the story? All vibes

I had similar feelings about Powerless. It was fun when I wasn't thinking about it too much and just focused on the romance of it all! Was also a three star for me!

I’m so glad you liked Ruthless Vows! I know a lot of people didn’t enjoy it because of the lack of romance but I LOVED getting more about the world and when we would get crumbs of Iris & Kitt it made it way more impactful for me. Enva did rub me the wrong way and still does 🤣 💌

Enva is garbage like wtf. Runs away from her betrothed, her psycho ex starts murdering mortals to get her back, and she just stays in the shadows hiding the whole time recruiting Iris to do her dirty work... OKAY!?!?!?! Like ma'am you are not the main character. Iris and Roman are.

I just wanted to say that with powerless you also gotta consider that it is Lauren Robert’s first book she’s ever written , i think there was a lot of flaws for sure but for her first book I think it was very well done - I think as the series continues she’ll get better but for her first book to be such a success is great ❤

I feel like Powerless is hyped on places that are not RU-vid. The majority of times I see people read Powerless on youtube they either just don't like it or are disappointed. It's awesome you have a bookstore so close to you! 💌

i gave powerless 5 ⭐ i totally get all the points you talked about though, i just enjoyed it so much lmao it does sound more like red queen than hunger games for me, different enough for me to like it though!

i've been pushing back reading ruthless vows because of all the mixed reviews, i do feel like i WILL love it but i'm scared so your review helped a lot! i think i'll read it next month!

💌💌 I'm nervous about reading ruthless vows because I loved divine rivals so much and have also heard the mixed reviews on it. But I did read powerless and gave it like 4 stars I believe, because it was fun but also kind of hard for me to get through because I would lose interest sometimes

slight spoilers for powerless and the bridge kingdom. . . . . . . . . . . . idk how many dots is enough. . . . . . . . i found the scene of kai finding her after the murder of the king similar to the scene where aren realises lara betrayed him. the ''go! run from me now, because when i'll find you next time i won't be a coward but i can't kill you now because i loved you.'' maybe that's a trope. i loved it in the bridge kingdom, but in powerless i was just like ''oh.'' you know? especially since the bridge kingdom stuck with me so much lol. curious about your thoughts.

OMMGGGGG I absolutely agree!!!! I didn't even think about that because it's been so long since I've read Bridge Kingdom but I completely see that. Okay so let's hope the next Powerless book girlie can like... write her own book lol

I've read some mixed reviews about it but still am going to give it a go with Powerless 🤗 it just sounds like an easy read that'll get me out of a slump. I definitely am looking forward to the romance part 🙊💕💌💌💌

I agree wholeheartedly on your view of Powerless, I loved Kai and Pae, I loved the banter but the overall plot/book lacked something for me too. I also rated it three stars and thought the last trial was giving goblet of fire. But I will continue the series.
