Yep, ridiculous! When my husband and I married over 5 years ago, we didn't spend a whole lot of money and wasn't in debt.

I just look at how many people that money can feed.

We paid $22,000 of our own money. Not a cent of debt from it. Or for anything else.

Yep! Found my dress at JC Penny for like $15 on sale. Lol. I think I spent a total of like $100 on the entire thing. Used a family friend’s church and she married us. Family made food. And my brother lended his decorations. Also found a free photographer just building her portfolio. We lucked out. 5 years later still going!

I agree. If one would take a moment to look closely, he was clearly born with a cleft lip/pallette. He has endured surgeries to to repair this birth defect which affects positioning of the teeth. Actor Jouquin Phoenix was also born with this condition. Yes, cut the groom some slack. He just married that gal...

Making fun of him says a lot more about the person who's pointing it out than the one who has the supposed flaw.

When I was young bridesmaids would get dyed to match shoes. They would get their own.

The wedding is totally separate from the marriage. You could have no wedding and a great marriage, and fabulous $1 million weddings with terrible marriages. Bridezillas will definitely have a very rough time navigating real life problems after the marriage starts though

Seriously! Walmart has great cheap cakes or any grocery store with a bakery can do cheap and very nice cakes. Those poor parents could’ve helped with something else and not been so stressed

When my young friend married many years ago, my mom offered to make the cake, but her mom did it instead and it looked horrible. (I was going to pay for the cake.) The cake tasted delicious, though. It was a very small, casual ordeal. No one cared about the cake looking the way it did. It was still a beautiful wedding.

So many do NOT get that communication is key to a marriage..to any relationship, really, but I’m talking about marriage in this case. Men & women think differently…& I will say, using this as an example, that if someone looks at you & sees you with a furrowed brow, they may think you are upset when you actually may have a headache but they don’t know that because he/she didn’t ask. We cannot read someone else’s mind…communicate!

Scouse is the name for a stew made by working class Liverpudlians, for when the men returned, from mostly dock related work. My husband has this accent- sounds like a Beatle! Scousers are known for their sense of humour- and their ability to see humour in dark situations. They are witty, and the way the accent flows, can make their comments even funnier! Liverpool is a wonderful city, it’s multicultural, due to the docks, architecturally amazing, and very friendly. I lived there for many years, and one of the funniest places on Earth to be, is amongst a group of Scousers at one of their football grounds. My husband is a loyal Everton supporter- a Blue. I have laughed till it hurt, listening to comments made by witty Scousers on the terraces of Goodison Park- Everton’s stadium. Famous Scousers include The Beatles, Stephen Graham, the fabulous Jodie Comer, Jason Isaac, and Sir Rex Harrison. I was very proud to be an adopted daughter of the city.

He’s been going through facial , palette surgery since about 3 months old and teeth surgery from about 7 because of cleft lip and palette at birth ! Don’t put them down 😡
