@@ScionEXP bro i have Xiangling and Bennett to team up with Childe, who do you think is better for my 4th slot Beidou, Thoma, Jean or Yelan? I cant use Sucrose because i have her on my 1st team.
@@keikaku5421 kazuha if u have him, if not Jean is definitely a solid pick as she can buff and heal like bennett, and yelan can also be good if she’s invested into with your normal bow attacks. Beidou without fishl isn’t really the best choice so I would recommend against it. Thoma in most scenarios is not really needed. So probs yelan or jean. And in my opinion I would use Jean as overall the best as she’s easiest to use and has some Succ powers!
I started playing 3 weeks ago and have been saving and saving all my primos, just managed to get kazuha. Now its time to save for childe. Great vid for an aspiring childe main :D
I want to be a Childe main but I probably need to wait till 3.8 or 4.5+ for his return.......I'll be chilling with my R4 Skyward harp and Full Nymph's dream set on hold for him
The best guide for him I’ve seen! I love that you showcased many team comps and walked us through some of the rotations. I’ll definitely be coming back to this video for future reference when I actually get him (wish me 50/50 luck) and sharing it with my friend who is pulling for him on his next banner
If there is an support char for archers which can increase the charge attack speed in the future, we'll see yet a different viable playstyle for Childe.

just need to note 1 thing real quick, his skills actual dmg is only from the initial cast, I've used him since his 1st banner as I won the 50/50 that I wanted to lose on, I used a similar guide back then and can guarantee you that 90% of his dmg is tied to his normal attacks as sadly his skill converts normal and charged to hydro, it does not override them so ironically the skill is the one you don't really need to level, but you still should min 6 for any you intend to use tbh. also major note here as the video creator isnt aware, if you have his C6 i dont my whale ass friend does however... you can infinitely stay in melee mode, put simply ranged burst-melee stance-melee burst(youll recharge in only a couple riptide hits 90% of the time its nuts)- either switch to setup other buffs or just go straight back into melee after getting energy which again not an issue as you have a full 30+s in melee so even if you pop ranged burst then go into melee youll have plenty of time to repeat the loop over and over its actually ridiculous, if your kucky enoigh to have a raiden and a c2 baizhu even with c0 childe your dmg output will be insane, thats leaving a 4th slot untouched as well.
Thanks for the video. Recently started considering playing my C1 Childe that I got on his very first banner(was just wishing for Beidou). I'm starving for a good burgeon team but suffer from a lack of good hydro characters so I'll see if he can reach my standards using your guide. This video was incredibly detailed so if he fails, I'm dropping him for good and waiting for a better hydro dps.
I just recently got my hands on skyward harp and I'm planning to pull childe for my national team since I'm guaranteed and on 63pity after building bennett on c5
I missed Kazuha's Rerun in 3.7. Could I use my Venti aswell instead if him so Childe, Xiangling, Venti and Bennett? I think that should work good aswell
I never regretted getting him when I came back to genshin on 2.0 I have my guranteed and I saved it for him and from then on he got me through everything 😭 also I didn't have any bow back then... but when I was pulling for Polar Star I got Skyward Harp instead which the game was telling me that they really want me to play Childe 🤣 Only problem is that I don't have the best of artifacts for him was contemplating on having him a burst showcase childe but I got lazy and put 4 pc HoD on him but is still strong regardless. For now since many characters came out I benched him for sometime but still used him really because I never stopped getting bow characters and got his weapon for him cause I really can't deny what he has done for me I just couldn't not get his weapon. 🤭 Watching this I want to build Childe better but maybe in the far future cause I'm really confused about what really artifact to go for 😭
i don't have him yet, but i so strongly believe that he'll get an early rerun with fontaine that i'm prepping for him now!! are there other bearable options for the last slot on a team running childe, bennett, and kazuha? i dont have nahida and while i have xiangling, i just don't love her as a character (even though i know she's an EXCELLENT choice for the team). if not, look closer at the freeze team since i love all of them thank you for the excellent guide!! can't believe i'm excited to artifact farm
Xiangling kinda brings that team together, since Childe applies a LOT of Hydro, you can use that for Pyro to Vaporize, and Xiangling is especially good since she can trigger Vaporize on every hit of her Burst due to it having no ICD. Although you can definitely use the other teams if you really don't like Xiangling.
Man I hate running around without Zhongli and I don't even have kazuha xd. Guess I gotta use sucrose for now then and wait a long time for kazuha.. again, as his last 2 reruns didn't get me anything.. Still on my way to level childe too

I have a question. I was lucky enough to get an r2 polar star, I could r3 it, but that is to be decided dependent upon on how much I want to be a Childe main, it was the only time I ever got lucky on the weapon banner, it was actually the reason I pulled Childe. The question is, since I'm getting so much atk% from the Polar Star, would it be better to run a different set other than Nymphs Dream since the atk% isn't really that useful at that point. And would it be good to run double hydro dmg bonus if I cant get 4-piece Nymphs, even more so since I have so much atk%? I already have a decent HoD set but its not that great, and I have absolutely no good Noblesse pieces. I plan on min maxing Childe, so considering my weapon, Is it worth farming the new domain despite it not being as resin efficient? At the very least for the 2-piece set.
The difference between 4 Nymph's and 2 Hydro / 2 Atk is a substat difference. If you are min-maxing though, 4 Nymph is the best mathematically but it is still a substat difference. If you have better stats on 2 Hydro / 2 Atk. those would be better. It is very hard for Atk to be bad on Childe since Riptides all scale on Atk. Double Hydro bonus is slightly better than Hydro/Atk, but only by about 1% in a practical rotation so it's not a difference worth stressing over.
@@Sparky-ssv The Catch is the best f2p option in Xiangling. High refinement Wavebreaker's Fin, Dragon's Bane are also good alternatives as 4 starts. 4 piece emblem is the way to go. In International Xiangling loves lots of ER.
Hi! Thank you for the great video! I want to ask since there is a new artifact called Golden Troupe Set, which is give Elemental Skill DMG +20% for 2 pieces and Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field for 4 pieces. Which one do you think its better for DPS, Nymph's Dream or Golden Troupe? Thank you!
I would definitely say Nymph's Dream. Elemental Skill DMG is only a small portion of his damage, better to have just the general Hydro DMG and ATK% buffs from Nymph's. But value wise, just strongbox for pairs 2 Hydro / 2 ATK. Unless you really want to max him out or until we have a character that's good with the 4-set of Vourukasha, it's not worth farming the domain for Nymph, since it's only slightly better than 2 Hydro / 2 ATK.
Im tryna pull him on his next rerun and i already have a pretty good set of artifacts with 2 piece glad (18% atk) and 2 piece noblesse (20% burst dmg) and i dont really wanna farm the new domain or switch to 4 piece heart of depth but i was wondering if it takes away that much dmg and if i should try to get a good set of the new artifacts in the long term. And also i have a elemental mastery sands and im tryna play amos bow bcs its the only 5star bow i got and i thought i get enough atk already so i could just go elemental mastery (im tryna play vape w Xiangling) but is it really better than atk% sands in this case or is there maybe another better bow option instead of amos bow? So i can switch amos bow out and play atk% sands. Just wondering
If you want a better weapon, now's a good time to get one. The current weapon would be great for you since you get a better now regardless of the either rate-up. The 2nd half weapon banner will have his overall best; Polar Star, but that's only if you're willing to risk getting Vortex Vanquisher. Another option can be to pick up a Viridescent Hunt from the BP. Artifact-wise, he's in a good spot, you can use any of the ones I mentioned, there's little to no difference between all of them.

I actually have the battlepass rn but idk if its more worth to go amos bow with em sands or viridesent hunt with atk sands bcs my crit ratio is already pretty good and if i take a crit rate weapon i would need to swap out the circlet to crit dmg and i dont have a good crit dmg circlet. I hope im not wasting ur time with all my questions but i guess i will just go Amos bow and em sands since my amos bow is already leveled
Last childe banner I got lucky and pulled him twice, making him c2, he‘s rerunning again soon and I don’t know if I should pull for c3 or polar star, since his cons aren’t the best and polar star is running with vortex idk wich option is better, btw I use him with thundering pulse
Thundering Pulse is good enough. Although if you wanted an upgrade, it'd be better to go on the current weapon banner. Aqua contests Polar Star as his best weapon in certain situations, or you get First Great Magic, which is not bad at all.
It is generally a really flexible weapon that's good on a lot of characters, but if you're new and low-spender, I'd focus on getting new characters before 5*weapons.
Me that is a Childe main, Childe Mostly want Elemental Mastery since his main purpose is element reactions which is why he suits so well with bennett and Xiangling! Which is why he doesn’t hit so well! ^^
...he's just underwhelming af, i have him triple crowned with polar star, nymphs dream and 60/190 crit ratio, he doesn't even do much in the overworld, for abyss he's useless as a dps and only really works as a hydro applicator
That's not the point of him at all, if you're expecting personal damage from him aside from his Burst, you're going to be disappointed. But if you did want a set up where he does most of the damage, try Sunfire w/ Jean, Bennett, and Kazuha. Not as effective as just using him as an enabler but it's there.
@@borystv1361then you're probably playing him wrongly, my childe does consistent 500k+ burst and around 600k with his charged attack spam. Im also using a 95/195 crit build so its not like im crit fishing, this dmg is extremely reliable and i could go for something for a 70/250 for better numbers but i prefer more crit rate. Im at C2 R1 polar star as well.
@@raptorking3678 especially with his team. they all synergize so well with each other. From what i know internat is the number 1 aoe team in the game as of right now. it's usually that or Nilou Bloom, Probably Nilou bloom is higher since it's alot more low investment than Internat. edit:that even if Ayato has more team comps. he's not gonna beat internat.
Just embrace the fact that childe international has been top 3 in spiral abyss usage for 2 years consistently. There's a reason for that; childe has better dps and hydro application, as well as the ability to frontload his nuke
Been a Childe main since 2021 and up until now, he is one of the best for me if you know how to play his playstyle. That isn't much complicated and others tend to complain only his cooldown of his E skill but if you do some rotations and then team him up with his best team comps (mostly like Childe International) as all fandoms know about it though.
I have seen so many other build guides for Childe but yours is the first one that has truly help me comprehend how his kit works and sell me on his gameplay. Yesterday i became a Childe haver while I was trying to get a copy of Freminet at low pity. And honestly thank you because without your guide i would have leave him in the dust. Now I'm eager to test him out once he's level up.
I got child as my 2nd 5*. (first, non loss 50/50) and love him. He’s an absolute power house for me and I dont even have the needed supports for him. I use him with Xiangling, Fischl, and one of the other lvled characters I have (Lynette, traveller, xinqiu, or bennet and I love it. The cooldown I’ve never noticed because, like you said, you dont stay in it for 30 seconds unless you’re dumb.. so I dont get why ppl cry about the 45s cooldown when it will never happen if played properly. Thx for the vid, I just started last month and this will def help me build and play him better😊
I had to start a new acc not too long after Childe’s last rerun and boyyyyy I can’t wait for him to come back in 4.0 😭😭😭 he’s my fav character lore and game wise.
Just a curiosity about the Teams: The "Reverse Vaporize"/"Childe Firefighter"/ "Childe International" is not 100% correct name, since the Team name was just "International" back in 1.0/2.0 before Inazuma this is the only team that could have 1 member each from a different place (Inazuma wanst avaliable, but had Kazuha, Sneznaya is not avaliable but had Childe, Mondstad had bennet and Liyue had Xiangling)
Xiangling/Beidou main, been using childe for like since he came out, the burst rotation doesnt really matter, especially with xiangling using the melee burst is better
I want to ask a question my xiangling has 55 cr 150cd yet am only getting 7k damage on her burst is that normal her talent is level 8 for burst so I don’t know if increasing it will change anything cause I see around 20k per hit on RU-vid but mine is only hitting 7k any tips ?
Tighnari is a main dps. That team would be perfect with Xingling instead of Tighnari. In fact Childe, Xingling, Kazuha, Bennett is likely one of the strongest teams in the game. You can get Xingling right now by wishing on Kazuha banner i believe

Nice to see my guide helped! Polar Star will be paired with Vortex Vanquisher, so I wouldn't risk it. As for the C1, it's not particularly worth it unless you're going further, you can make up the difference by timing your rotations better as I explained in the video.
