Great video! one thing i always liked about the HST was its ability to accelerate out of a station without any sensation of movement, it was eerie. Enjoyed riding on these to the Westcountry as a kid, and seeing them up close at Teignmouth seafront. Those HST's on the Grand Central network look weird with the buffers sticking out under the cab. The special livery section was good, that old BR liveried train looks so smart in fresh, clean paint.
Great collection of HST's. Sheffield in 2003, Sunderland in 2011 via Grand Central and a year later, Penzance. Those are my memories on board these iconic trains.
Excellent video caputered the class 43. Only coach missing was the buffet/bar car from the long distance sets. No one seams to have pictures of these. Do any still survive?
Fabulous 125 action, especially the first 20 minutes of EMT/EMR , my local mainline. Keeping some ex LNER sets until May 2021 so not all is lost.... yet!
They should NEVER have withdrawn the 43's (hst's). When they re engined them, they gave them another 25 years of life, 100 times better than voyagers.😤
The HST were literally made out of plastic though? Anyway that new 0lastic far exceeds the capability of these HSTs. Shame the HST dragged us so far behind though. We'd have much faster trains if it weren't for them!
Airpollution by dieseltrains , that,s bad very bad , that,s why i like the Virgin Pendolino Electric Multipple Units , and these trains are going faster than these noisy HST train !!
