As a fellow controller nut... I'd add: -High left stick for racers. -Zero deadzone on the main stick. To where, if you blow on it, it'll register an input. Super important. KingKong controllers have a (practically secret) anti-deadzone option, and it's godlike. If you have drift - put a rubber band around the stick, and stretch it over the side of the controller in the opposite direction of the drift, and leave it overnight. Do that for a week or so, til its centered.
I personally hate mine, I have the high stick on the razer Wolverine v2 chroma and I absolutely can’t stand them. They’re so hard to aim with, they move inconsistently, just not good for my thumbs I think lol
@@honorsstrill982high rise sticks on my right joystick are great for accuracy but I have trouble adjusting sensitive so I can move freely. At the end of the day I’ll take the dip in accuracy in order to feel more comfortable moving around.
I got the no name brand for ps5 that stick on. Kinda permanent skin for the hands only. I got sweaty hands really bad so they help allot. No lie 2 years later they feel better and still holding up really good.
after testing everything i can find on the market i can tell you the Best combination is Extremerate Tumbsticks plus PlayVital grips (dimond looking ones that he showed) i've been using them for months best value before that i was using SCUF Tumbsticks for my PS4, PS5 and SCUF Impact controller they have good grip but they cant last even two weeks sometimes they deform after only one week of playing you can still use them after they deform but it's not the same and they are not cheap while Extremerate Tumbsticks are easily swappable and are the best easily swappable sticks you can find on the market plus they last really long time after 4 months theres no deformation after that i started using playvital grips too which also been using for months for deformation at all
I think that having a higher left stick can be beneficial for racing games, specifically motorcycle games. Just thought it was worth a mention. I actually have a controller I've dedicated to this task.
I play a lot of flight simulators this also holds true for that. Also, bit niche, but minecraft ice boat racing also benefits very heavily from a controller like this, at least on versions of the game that support controller and analog input.
Depends on the game If you play shooter you want a higher stick for better accuracy, with more accuracy you get a faster ttk . When i see some players shooting they cant aim at enemies head or chest. Im using KFs since 2015 and my aim is better than ever
Cool, yup they are needed if one wants to finish things with as less replay missions as possible (saving time which is expensive, time to move on to the next AAA game). It's best to have the mixed, concave + convex a hybrid or flat is best. Concave is the bowl shape). God bless.
I started playing ps2 when I was 7 so I prefer dome sticks. That’s just what I’m used to. My first console was the game cube. Oh god I feel old and I’m only 21.
Do any commenters have Battle Beavers with decreased or light tension thumbsicks? How are they? I was thinking of getting a custom smart claw pad with decreased tension sticks at the default height.
Thanks for the video and I’m to do the higher right thumb stick adjust evolve and DOMINATE I already have disgusting aim but it MUST become MORE DANGEROUS ❤😈
Are there in control freaks that fit the Wolverine line . I brought the purple kontrol freaks and it did not fit the razor ultimate and now I have a razor v2 chroma
I use a mid-rise left thumbstick. My main game is apex legends which I play at the highest level, and movement control/accuracy can make or break a fight.
well, if you had a thumb stick cap that was thicker, softer, like a gummy type material i could see that helping prevent because it would absorb some of that pressure and overall lessen some of the downward pressure being put on the thumb stick itself.
@Gamer Heaven Can you please help me out with this question? I got a scuf reflex fps and i love the controller but i dont like the thumbsticks at all, i love the regular ps5 dualsense thumbsticks, Stock. There tighter and i personally enjoy them and aim better with them. Is there anyway to get them on the scuf relfex fps the stock dualsense thumsticks?! Please lmk
My biggest complain with controllers is the inner dead zone. When I’m trying to do fine aiming adjustments i struggle. The adjustments I want to do are tiny movements with my thumb but they cannot be detected by the controller. So I end up over adjusting. I’m talking when your sights are like maybe over the persons shoulder instead of their head. So you try to adjust quickly but finely and end up past their head on the other side. So you end up strafing instead for that control. Idk how to fix that.
I think you need lighter analog tension you’re probably using PlayStation controllers which I’d advise to get a controller with lower thumbstick tension around 55-60 grams would help ps4 is about 70 grams. I personally like higher tension with low dead zone but I have struggled with what you’re talking about
Do these transfer over to more than just FPS games? Meaning would I need to remove the higher right stick if I decided to play a racing game or a game like Ghosts Of Tsushima? FYI still kicking arse with your videos ma’ dude!
Actually a higher left stick can give you more controller over fine steering in a racing game. As for something like ghost, shorter sticks would be better.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial I really need to pull my finger out with what I've created that fits absolutely all pads with sticks with maximised mechanical adjustment in all directions imaginable check my playlists for deep insights to my findings & sneak peaks, you look like a man that appreciates control pad mods & I think I've made what everybody wants on the market. Height adjustment in 0.05mm increments lol.
@@HughJassle if you use the bow a lot, taller right stick. anything else and it doesn't matter as much, could go short or just keep the tall on for when you need it. tall for FPS no question
That's what I just got the mw2 version for my Xbox elite controller and I thought it would take some time to get use to but man it was an immediate advantage holding onto target at distance. I won 9 of 10 ranked play games top fragging majority
I'm gonna sound like An extremist real quick: I use a two inch thumbstick on the left. I play flight simulators, racing simulators, and I do a lot of minecraft ice boat racing on bedrock, and that extreme amount of control is fantastic. I actually glued a bit of plastic to the top of my control freak and put that on top of the tall stick of my elite series 2 controller. Destroy me in the comments if you dare. Just remember you're two chicken to do it yourself :p
Just bought a Gamesir G7SE, Unable to find out what thumbstick will fit it , can you help, just bought Kontrol freek for XBOX 1 and it is a really tight fit, gave up due to not wanting to push my luck, damage:( . could they be fakes as I bought them from ebay? Thank you for reading this and hopefully a reply .
You shouldn’t have any Audio issues from the controller I’ve built 3 controllers using the same parts that hex uses and have no problems at all besides stick drift
Dude I'm so confused. I'm playing BF2042. Started on ps4 when it came out. Got my hands on a ps5. I got my settings setup the same. I switched out my kontrol freeks aim ring and my thumbsticks and it feels sooo different. I've had to turn down my sensitivity over half. It almost feels like the aim ring isnt doing anything for the first few cm. Is the dualsense that much different than the dual shock4? Would appreciate any tips cause I'm at a loss and went back to the ps4 where I can slay at a high sensitivity.
I had this exact same problem as many others did, and it’s mainly because your eyes are not used to the 60fps we’ve been playing ps4 for such a long time and our eyes are used to 30fps and with that low frame rate it’s easier to find your sensitivity on there because the game feels more “sticky” by that I mean the screen is sort of laggy a little due to the low fps, when you switch to ps5 because the fps is a lot smoother it’s harder to adapt to that because you’ll notice your sensitivity has to change due to the smoother gameplay. A lot of this also has to do with the ps5 controllers unfortunately when Sony released their first models they were all faulty and actually had the thumb sticks feel more looser, it’s why a lot of people noticed it and complained to Sony apparently they released a model where they fixed that but I’m not too sure, in my opinion just get scuffs they are expensive but they’ll improve your aim as you can have those additional back buttons and it requires you to take your fingers of the joystick less often or not at all
I personally hate the ps5 controller but love the ps4 controller. Ps5 controller shape is more closely like the Xbox shape but it still has the same thumb sticks as the ds4, which doesn’t make for a good combo imo
What is the best controller as in sturdiest for PS4. I get joystick lag about every 3 months out of every control I buy for 59.99.. I wound up getting the warranty and just switch them for 10$ every time I switch, however I get lazy and just use the controller until I feel like getting up an changing it. The other problem is that gamestop makes you order them an rarely have them in store..
:-D "scientifically", it's true but it's just kind of throws one off (like Matt Damon's "science" the ____ out of this (when he was doing the Mars farming) Thanks again.
Even though I treat my controllers well, I have an issue with drift. Do better controllers eliminate/prolong that issue? Is it easier to fix with a better controller?
they have solder-on modules that can help reduce stick drift, and you can tune them as it gets worse. Not a complete fix but it does make it so much better
Simply put, people are looking for answers, this guy doesn't provide any! Just skirts around the info a bit to look like he knows some stuff! Doesn't provide any real answers to help people! my2cents!
@@mysocratesnote8110 well there’s no real one answer… overall this kinda stuff is all up to personal opinion. He’s just trying to give a better explanation for people to help with giving people an understanding for if a product might fall under one’s preference.
