@@БорисНорд No cons if you use regular win11/10 and dual boot the custom one. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend anything except FoxOS for regular use. Most of them don't have anti virus or required security, which you don't really need if you use discord and steam, and just that with the addition of spotify or youtube.

​@@БорисНордI'm regretting i installed atlas os, my Android phone is just not connecting to my pc anymore, it says driver is found but can't install, they've did something with the system 32 so yeah, choose wisely... I'm using custom roms for a quite long time but this gotta be the worst in my list, just not it, performance was good but I'll personally prefer ghost spectre win 10 for gaming.

@@MMOMEN atlas is garbage, but you should dual boot as I said. Custom OS is very risky for daily usage, just use it strictly for gaming or whatever you need it for.

It’s also very weird too cause it’s not even or the same for everyone. But once you experience what LOW input lag is like. I’m talking highly optimized. It’s blatantly obvious and makes you wonder whats going on underneath.

hey, I also have a flagship, I've almost used every single ISO if not like seriously EVERY SINGEL ISO, like all the ones in this video, phoenix Lite, Revi, fox, imos, xos, atlas, kerby, im honestly out of ideas, what have you came up to using? all of the have some good stuff but alotta broken things in between and the more i use them the more things start breaking, compatibility of some is horrible as well, so im honestly really lost here what to do!

Ever tried EagleOS? if not then give it a shot.. i find it the fasted i’ve tried so far and it’s much better than Kernels it seems more stable as well only tried and using 1809 build so far. True, security can be a huge issue. That's why I almost always have 2FA/3FA for anything that is even remotely critical to my personal info. I also tend to just keep my internet search use very conservative. Hence why I eliminated a few of these Operating systems from the competition. I refuse to believe that anything but a direct google drive/Discord/personal website is necessary in order to make your OS functional.

My solution for this is to make two operating systems. You can even do it on the same drive. For instance, I have a super optimized version of windows 10 and then a stock version of windows 11 running on the same drive. I only the the 10 for gaming, and I use 11 for everything else. All I need to do to swap between them is restart.

Bad things probably did happen. I've heard on YT that GS had a virus included once, but I can't confirm its veracity, nor do I remember the video (or if it was just a comment). Still, GS is a stellar experience on low-end PCs, and I'd much rather have my security at risk than have my info stolen by the soulless husk that is Microsoft.

Yeah, I can confirm. My laptop with no ventilation trends to overheat with Win 11 Education, this is somewhat mitigated with the Enterprise version, but Linux distros like Mint and Ubuntu and custom Wins like Tiny 10 and Ghost Spectere significantly reduce heat and increase battery life (or rather, reduces battery consumption). Overall, all OS are a tradeoff, and the least desirable of the bunch is the official Windows from 10 onwards.

Depending on the motherboard and depending on the ethernet device used. But usually the motherboard will have a better implementation. Unless it is more than 5-10 years old. That's when the USB network adapters typically start to become faster.

Not him but I personally recommend to install stock and debloat it for similar effect. The risks that comes with custom builds aren't really worth the minimal performance and drive space gains.

Unfortunately no one truly can vet these ISO’s to that degree. Some of them are open source so at least there’s an attempt to try and be transparent. But considering Microsoft has astronomical amounts of spyware on stock windows, privacy isn’t exactly achievable anywhere nowadays. Credit where credits due I’ve never seen or heard of a custom ISO having any such incidences.

You would need to have what’s known as an “K skew” model So a 12400KF would be the correct terminology. But yours does not have a K and Intel I don’t believe makes 12400KF’s anyways. Only 12600/700/900. This means you will not be able to OC your cpu regardless of your motherboard and you will be limited in terms of ram overclocking as well.

xos feels good atlas os feels like if you just downloaded it and just applied basic tweaks, revi has the most compatability but low fps, ggos is abt to be unsupported, kernel os is weird and has a lot of bugs, and I may be trying foxos, and ghost spectre sucks it gives good fps but not latency

If I was strictly gaming and I didn't care about much else, XOS/FOXOS were both my favorites. FoxOS in particular had a VERY responsive mouse input compared to anybody else. Don't know what they are doing over there. But XOS was almost just as good, I do know that FOXOS has some intermediate compatibility issues with things like bluetooth and a few other things. So if you need to know about compatibility just check their discords.

I'm only using stock whenever i'm in college/school but I love using FOXOS personally whenever I get the chance.

@@Savitarax ive had my fair share with pc enthusiast , testing between custom isos and ive seem to be sat on a stock win10 22h2 build which has been manually stripped and tweaked and it performed way better to isos such as XOS, ggOS, Kernel, FoxOS + on top of that i feel way more comfortable on my system knowing everything thats been changed

@@Knappr oh i can 100 agree about enjoying the safety of untouched settings. I also enjoy stock windows just cause of compatibility cause I have to test so many things. So I need apps and software to just work.

@@Savitarax Yeah icl i always thought it was a huge task to even tweak windows specifically for yourself but its so easily done and now i can enjoy compatibility and incredible performance which has left me with more time to focus on BIOS...i guess custom ISOs are for the lazy haha

@@mattiass1 in terms of my overall opinion. Even after doing dozens of my strongest tweaks my Win11 latency is still almost double and maybe triple.But my latency also is like .5 us so it’s not high by ANY stretch. But win11 does seem to have slightly better FPS at stock. But I think that might have to do with the optimizations like buffer flipping and swap chains and they just barely added a latency tweak that fixes 8000hz mice bugs. They basically took the pipeline of processing and trimmed it down to fix the overhead. I would say if you are a tweaker and know how to do HUNDREDS of optimizations before you start gaming. Win 11 has the potential to be absolutely insane with how much they are optimizing. But if you aren’t an avid tweaker. Stay on windows 10 for now and switch to 12 when it inevitably comes out

Windows 7 is EOL. It is risky to use windows 7. There are also many modified OS on windows 7, but it is very risky. On the other hand, I also used Windows 10 LTSC, it's really great, it's really Lite. Unfortunately, you must have a license, otherwise, if you haven't activated windows, your computer will shut down once an hour. So of these 2 options that you specified, I would recommend Windows 10 LTSC, if you want something official and secure. Have a nice day!

I am completely unaware but good question. I’d assume most of these are running in X64 exclusively. I think atlas runs in x86 if I recall correctly.
