I'm Thai. Let's do some translating! Some added context is fun. I just want to let the locals feel heard. Also fun for SmallBrainedAmerican to know what they said. Only doing worthwhile ones. 0:22 "You handsome!" (in English) 1:08 "What are you looking for? You're free to ask!" (something they just shout as people walk by) 1:40 "Hello!" 2:24: Hello. "What do you want?" 2:30 "Yeah! Eat one so you know what it's like." 2:34: "You can eat." (Kin Dai.) 2:42 "You can eat one. Feel free to taste." 3:15 "Does it taste good??" (Thai people don't really just snack on pure chillis... some do but it's not really a thing.) 3:28 "You don't want it? Aren't you taking it?" (The woman gave the vendor 20 something baht, assumed they would buy the whole packet. I'm sure she would've let you try it for free.) 11:48 (I know you're joking, but he probably is just counting 4 beers.) 14:00 "He's high af now!"
How people outside America live is just awe inspiring to me. Communities hanging out, don't have to drive everywhere, people are friendly and want to share experiences. Those guys in the market hitting bongs and beers with you was amazing. Plus, you had a beautiful woman with you. What could be better?
@@roh_son The above is not a reply or a critique. Yours is an unoriginal, overused and tired line that you picked up from others. You embarrass yourself.
And what surprised you so much? The market looked pretty normal for the region. I don't get the idiotic comments from the narrator, like picking up a bag of chilies and saying "ew", etc. Things you do for clicks...
@@notsoeloquent you’re lost if you think any of that is sanitary. People touching raw meat, then shake your hand 😂😂. I bet my moms basement is 100x cleaner than that shit hole.
@@eezz7822i've been to wet markets in cambodia that were waaaaay worse than this and i still ate food from there and didn't die. Make sure everything is cooked really well tho just to kill all the bad stuff.
No kidding, the amount of pandemic jokes when these markets have been around for centuries and the clear evidence of a lab leak based off a simple google search is really telling. It shows the disconnection between western countries and their meat.
Damn bro....I was glued to the screen the whole time and for most of the video I had a smile from ear to ear, thoroughly enjoyed it, can't wait for your next one
Klong Toey Market is an absolutely amazing place with great food and one of the highlights of Thailand. To me it was also surprising to be the only western foreigner on that market, especially since Bangkok is such a touristy city
@@eriklarson9137 I used to live by there and asked my condo is there any markets nearby. She told me no and it's hella close! I think that's a major part if Thai people aren't telling expats to visit
This video was great, after the Chili’s it got hilarious 😂keep up the great videos man, I’ve never even been out of my state but I get to see the world from your videos thank you
Excellent dude, been watching you from Perth in Western Australia and love the content; you will blow up soon as your really good to watch. Subbed a week back. Keep on trucking, stay staunch and Thankyou for this content man!!
Lived in BKK for a few months and this vid had me cracking up, glad I found your channel. Good find on that little bar, those types are the best vibes, and that dank was cheap
@@imgerrydee That makes no sense, plenty of youtubers get super popular while saying far worse than he does. This has NOTHING to do with his popularity. The youtube algorithm is the only thing at play here. This guy has only been making videos for a couple of years, to have 230,000 subscribers that fast is incredible.
Your date enjoyed the gross exploration at the market and took (or at least attempted to take) a bong rip in said market. My guy, she's a keeper...I better see a proposal in an upcoming video.
Nice videos (having checked out a few of your India videos before this)! I was just in Khlong Toei wet market about a week and a half ago during a six day stay in Bangkok after 13 days in Laos. Looking forward to seeing your other videos. Cheers!
Yeah, nah, she isn't...over 30 for one, squeamish at the sight of raw / unprocessed / unpackaged food two. This chick is destined to live in a McMansion in the midwest with some dude she starts cheating on 3 years into the marriage. As above, nice knockers but she's ageing quickly and come on, the guy is in Bangkok, home to some of the most insanely hot women on the planet. Her worth is even less in that city...even some of the dudes are hotter
Been looking forward to a new video from you. I have watched your hole trip so far very interesting places you have gone to. Looking forward to the next one be safe out there brother 👍🏻
Your girlfriend is the definition of both “babe” and “keeper.” She is adventurous, fun, and beautiful. Perhaps most importantly, you guys compliment each other wonderfully. Treat her well, Connor.
@@SmallBrainedAmericanbro just found ur channel, so far really great. Ur blessed man, ur out there having fun, living life, glad ur sharing it. Nice escape for myself, lots of oh man he shouldn’t do that stuff moments. U remind me of myself when I was in my 20’s. Things where less complicated then. Anyway cheers.
I’m from New Mexico so even our candy has chili on it here. I went to a Thai restaurant in town yesterday and ordered the spice level “hot”, I chickened out on the “Thai hot”, and damn, I was sniffling the whole drive home. Damn
I mistakingly got Thai hot on the night before Thanksgiving when visiting my gf's family in Abq. Tasted wonderful, but I felt like my face was swollen and my throat on fire.
I grew up in rural Canada. It never occured to me that where meat comes from would be shocking for some people. Just shows how out of touch people can be.
You're sense of humor and vlogging style kinda reminds of Adam22 (back when he used to daily vlog) haha I love it. Subcribed and been bing watching a shitload of your videos. Keep up the good work brotha 💪
I'm thai. been to a place like that. bought a live fish once and released him back into some pond although I'm not sure that guarantees living either. most Thais are Buddhists and believe in karma for their actions, so wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them there think and accepted that they'll have to suffer for their honest living (slaughtering), whether it be in this life or next life. Regardless, these people don't have much of a choice and a lot of them came from outside of Bangkok (capital city) since I suppose there can be more opportunities in BKK to gain enough to raise their families. These people are often very genuine and kind though, I wish them all the best. A lot better than most urban-bred people.
Yep this one was cool. Jealous I’m not there, such a cool place, hits from the bong music beer laughs and a cool chick to hang and banter with she was real chill. Seriously thanks man, I love your vids.
really coole dude with a strong and gorgeous Wife what is with you... so beautiful to see you guys together.. so inspiring to me. Deep love and much Thanks
BTW, water does nothing to help with the burning sensation of hot pepper on the tongue. Nothing. The spice has to be neutralized, and the only thing that I know that will do it is a real DAIRY product. Milk, cream, ice cream all are perfect. But even cheese, cottage cheese will help. It's like a chemical that cancels out the burn. So when someone hands you water for this, you're not going to wash that stuff off your taste buds with that.
Exactly right, water or any thin liquid will just wash it down your gullet, burning all the way, into your gut where it will continue to burn. All the foods you mentioned are right, and mint leaves will help too. I grow Thai chilis in pots at home under grow lights & and like you, know whereof I speak. Samoog! And Sabai!
