Henford-on-Bagley and Windenburg would be a lot of people's go-to for traditional old-timey housing and scenery. But so far, I have seen 1 Simmer who has set the Ultimate Decades Challenge in feudal Japan (using Mt. Komorebi). There are also Simmers who just do the regular Decades Challenge, beginning in 1890 USA with a Black family. At the time, the slaves would be freed, but they would face many societal hurdles. As the 2 main things to think about during the Ultimate Decades Challenge are realistic years and the death rolls, it is possible to do the Challenge without CC/mods. For the realistic years, you can use the in-game calendar system to keep track of time. Just make sure that 4 Sim days = 1 Real-world year. Long lifespan. Manual aging with birthday cakes. For the death rolls, you just have to minimize the game from time to time and maximize the Internet browser window in which you will roll the death rolls and see the results and record the results in the spreadsheet. Then you act on those results in-game. Turn on testingcheats in-game and SHIFT-click on a Sim. You will find an option to Kill a Sim. The Sim will die. For hairstyles and clothing, you may run into issues though. But you can just search in CAS and see if you find anything good. Look under the Tops, Bottoms and Full Body wear categories! The more packs you have, the more clothing options you have.
