That’s awesome! That means you’re gonna have a huge improvement in your game in a short amount of time. That kind of improvement doesn’t exist for veteran players. Keep plugging away at that!

Love seeing these videos again! With your help from previous videos, I was actually able to identify this exact shortcoming in my ability and have been practicing it before this video was out. Goes to show the overall improvements in my ability to train myself, with the added help of these videos from years ago. Love to see that you are still around, and I love seeing the overall improvements in the entire rocket league community. I've been Diamond 3/Champ 1 the last few seasons, and even though my rank hasn't improved, I feel like the community has improved as a whole, including myself which has made the game very fun overall.
Hey Kevpert, I've been watching your videos since you started and I just wanted to thank you for sharing all your training tips in such an understandable and motivating way. I first wanted to improve at RL because of your videos, for the reason that, unlike many other tutorials and pro-tips, you are more focusing about what I love the most in this game : absolute car control. Recently I was unhappy with my poor skill at the game, so I watched your tutorials again, and here we go, you motivated me again ! It's sooo cool that you share progressive drills and daily-training routine, that's something that few people shares and that I've looking for the most. Haha my analysis game has come a looooooong way since then. But putting that out there would reduce my org’s competitive advantage, especially when we’re trying to crack into RLRS. Maybe. I’d have to think long and hard about it. Let’s just say it’d be meta-changing, not about the changes to the meta.
Your tutorials seriously help me get a lot better at the game compared to any otherwise. Would be interested in what you have to say for non-mechanical tutorials like rotations and game sense! Hope you get back to making videos soon!
Kev, you are amazing. My first time doing this pack I am starting to recognize the balls trajectory and be able to see where my car needs to be. I love it man, please keep it up
I been doing these for 3 months and while I still have issues with some of these they still helped me alot! I went from p1 div 2 to d1 div 4 I like them alot!
I just reached diamond for the first time and I'm literally crying I'm so happy. After 2k hours and four straight plat seasons I'd accepted it was impossible for my dumb hands and my 40 fps potato, but it happened. Thanks so much I can't tell you what this means to me
Black Tim Howard i’ve been playing since season 3. I spent the majority of the time stuck in D1-D3. For the past two seasons I was able to maintain C1 and sometimes ”touch” C2. Your comment is an inspiration since I was getting frustrated... I really want to hit GC. 10 seasons and still hoping lol. Better start practicing religiously. Good luck bro👍🏻
I tried these and they're so great! a lot of them are really tough but I've been excited about practicing them. today though i was finding them more difficult than usual and got really bummed out cus i just thought i wasn't playing well today, but then i realized i didn't have the variance on so i didn't have momentum for any of them. still difficult though, but at least not impossible lmao
Hi kevpert, could you make a really detailed kick off tutorial for 1’s? Like how you recommend going into each type of kick off and also explaining how to read an opponents kick off and also make it so you win when both of you flip into the ball

I think I will need to do your training packs without Bakkesmod. It's not working with Epic Games version of Rocket League for now. But I don't think if that's a problem. I think I can still practice fine. I mean more like learning for now than practice.
Hi Kevpert. I love you videos, they were among the first I watched when I started rocket league and now I've been GC for both season 9 &10. I feel like what's holding me back is my speed in games, however when I try to play faster I often make poor touches and even completely whiff. Could you make a training guide for improving speed/consistency for high level GC players? It would be cool to have some drills for reacting the right way in-game within a short amount of time to improve muscle memory.
Here’s a few things you can do: - check your stats on calculated.gg for average supersonic time. Try to get that over 40 seconds per 3s game, so you’re playing an efficient rotational game. It may be helpful getting down rotations that get you to 60+ seconds in the beginning. - train like Jstn warmups in free play on his twitch vods - read “The Inner Game of Tennis” for the mental side These things should help you out in the meantime.

just train double touches , backboard and redirects training pack. thats all you need with this defense pack and the other longshot pack. These are all perfect for imprvoing ballcontanct

Do you have any packs on defense of corner bounces? Specifically including ones where you are traveling the same direction as the ball and it bounces out away from the wall and towards the net, making it hard to read and reach?
Bakkesmod uses left and right on the d-pad. Left does previous shot, right does next shot. Also up will shuffle, and down will mirror the shot you're doing to practice other side.
Is it possible that some of the shots in these packs are tougher to do without the third party mods? I'm on xbox doing the wall powerclears and a couple of them I just cant get to the ball (10 is the one I remember for sure) I've tried wave dashes, diagonal flips, just boost and I cant get to the ball
Oh I get it now! I was wondering why I wasn’t able to get around the ball quite as well on the turn and clears, I thought I was just plain bad but that doesn’t seem to be the case
i must be dumber than i thought. i've followed the instruction at the beginning to the letter, hopefully, but when i hit either f5 or f11 while in freeplay nothing happens, whereas on the vid kevpert gets another box opening with sliders and stuff on. it's around the 1m30s on the vid. plz help - it's driving me crazy.
Hey, I'm having a problem in custom training where the pass goes away directly instead of me being able to start it, like normally u need to press a button for the shot to go off but mine goes away directly. Is there any setting I can apply to change that?
@@blacktimhoward4322 i have gotten higher in the earlier days, but now that my laptop is over 3 years old, it struggles to reach 35-40 fps, and in 3v3 games I can experience drops to about 10-15 fps for no reason at all Luckily I'm getting a new pc soon
Are you double clicking on the first blank row? One of my friends had the issue of Ctrl-V not pasting... if worst comes to worst, you can always type out the settings to get it to work.

How come at full boost I can't get in front of the ball like you can on the turn and clears on some levels? Does it depend on the variables that come up after F5?
Dear kevpert, I am reaching out to you here, as of the time of this comment, this is your most recent video. I have a question that has not a single video on youtube about it. I recently watched the region finals, squishy vs jstn happened, two mechanical beasts, so I looked up there controls.... and every other pros controls.... and i noticed that they all use air roll and not air roll right/left. Why is this. Is it worth relearning at champ level? What are the benifits? What can I not do with air roll R/L that I could do with regular airroll?
They were playing before Air Roll Left/Right was even in the game. A lot of established pros are like that. In the end it’s just a preference thing. They both have one air roll left/right button they use for freestyling though.

I have a question about bakkes mod. After your last tutorial I used the code and I put it in for bindings however I tried to delete it after but ended up deleting the opening command f2 to open up bakkes mod. Now I cannot open up bakkes mod. I tried deleting and reinstalling bakkes mod and rocket league. Any idea how to pull up bakkes mod without the f2 command?
hit the tilde key ~ then type togglemenu settings into the the bar that pops up. That should open up the menu. then reassign f2 to togglemenu settings. And you are done!
alternatively go to this file path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common ocketleague\Binaries\Win32\bakkesmod\cfg open "bindings.cfg" in notepad paste this line into the the file at the bottom bind F2 "togglemenu settings" or if bind F2 is already on the list then simply paste "togglemenu settings" next to it. You can also paste the other bindings into the document while you are in there if you want.
