Just read that UE recently pushed a new firmware update out for the Epicboom. Apparently the distortion issues have now been resolved and overall bass output has increased. It apparently also now retains more bass at higher volume levels. Definitely interested in checking this one out now that these issues have apparently been resolved.

At first I thought the Epic Boom has some decent deep bass when at 75% volume, but at 100% it pops, but after hearing the JBL Boombox 3, the bass is clean deep and loud at 100% and it's perfect!

Any speaker should handle what ever volume you are able to play it on period. Great to see you out here entertaining us bro! Gotta live no matter what comes your way!

Floss in all bass drivers they recommend a wear in time of approx 18 hours before they test there correct specs. Now i agree the speaker is over priced, but to truly test the correct bass sound on a powerful speaker it should probably run 2 battery cycles. I recommend letting it run in and try it again just to see if there is a big difference.

You should consider doing a review of the ORANGE BOX-L. I watched a review on RU-vid, & it sounded great using my JBL CHARGE 5. It's literally the best 50 watt bluetooth speaker that you'll ever listen to.

Would imagine Flossy is more of an epic boom than the Epic Boom going to Vegas and playing his two JBL 6's at maximum volume.

I bought a Hyperboom and was really happy with it, so when they sent me an early buy discount for the EPIC I jumped on it. I have to agree- VERY disappointed with the EPIC. To the point where I was considering another Hyperboom to pair with my other one and after being so disappointed with the EPIC I have soured on the brand considerably.

I had on decent earbuds and I could definitely hear the difference between 60% volume and max volume, and it was absolutely clipping with your EQ settings and in outdoor mode. I could hear it clear as day. The definition of clipping is over 10% total harmonic distortion in your music. Simply put, the "Epic Boom" doesn't live up to its name and its underpowered if its clipping at 75% volume regardless of EQ settings. Gotta protect your equipment and limit clipping with consumer electronics. People dont generally want to have max volume be 70% of max.

For that price, even at the reduced $350, you're better off getting the B&O Beolit 20. I've had mine a little over a year and love the sound quality. Do yourself a favor and wait for it to go on sale. I see it regularly drop to $400 and sometimes lower.

10:58 agreed with everything you said I’m listening to that on the hyper boom and two mega booms and I heard that weird sounding base I’d say not $400 or 350 I’d say maximum 350 for the epic boom I’d say as a good price 200 250 within that price range because it’s a mix of the hyper boom and the mega boom if you think about it, it has adaptive EQ like the hyper boom does it’s in between the mega boom, and the hyper room size in the app I think you can have multiple EQ like the hyper room has and also the battery life is in between the hyper boom, and the mega boom so it’s a mix of by the way I’m dictating this it’s going to space out hyper boom and mega boom mega boom is one word and hyper boom is one word I’m too lazy to type. Lol.😂

Logitech finally adding usb-c to these speakers! I love my wonderboom but, I am so over micro usb. Logitech bugging on that price tag, 200 maybe. Was hoping I would upgrade my Sony SRS XB43 with these.

honestly ultimate ears have always been overpriced, but one feature they are unique to my knowledge is they allow you turn on speaker from phone so no need to get out of bed to turn on speaker.

Why am I not surprised that the UE EpicBoom was a fail😭 But have you seen the JBL Authentics 300? It's the size of the Stormbox Blast but it has JBL's retro look like the L100 Classic. It's black and gold with a leather wrapped body but it retails for 450$ I'm getting one ASAP and once you see it you'll probably do the same😂 Stay blessed🙏,stay strong 💪and keep on moving for the better💯 keep up the good work Floss.

JBL makes the best bluetooth speaker, especially for the bass. IMO.

Floss can you tell a difference in spund from boombox 3 and new boombox 3 wifi when using your s23 ultra? Not sure if new one has ldac or what the f audio codes but curious if it's noticeably better?? On sidenote would love to know your thoughts on tronsmart bang maxx!! Not a UE fan they can’t produce nice bass JBL, BOSE, OR SONY I stick with can’t go wrong. Great video great comparisons they say this UE speaker is rated at 10 watts output for 500.00 that’s insane.
