I too own this pack!! Just purchased it around Christmas time and loving it! Planning to use it as EDC and short bikes on trails near where I live. Love the high vis interior, similar to the Vanquest equvilant. Was sold on this product when Roaring Fire first promoted it along with the Grey Wolf pack back in November. Happy trails and enjoy!!the
Great review! I have the tool roll and a 30 liter dry sack from Roaring Fire. I use the tool roll to store my folding knife collection and the dry sack as an accessory pack for my kayak. The dry sack can be worn as a backpack when I hike in wet conditions. The backpack looks pretty awesome and I like that it has that stabilizer belt. I've had to sew stabilizer belts and additional D-rings on my two sling packs which I use for extended shopping trips. This 18 liters would be ideal for day hikes. Oh, thanks for introducing the Kopiko coffee as I like to try all coffee brands. The fact that it has creamer and sweetener in the mix will save a few ounces in my pack.
Thanks for the review and for showing it so well. The lack of dual access to the ccw pouch took it out of the running for me. I would wear it the same as you but then the access would be on the bottom of the bag. If I did wear it on the other (right) shoulder, then the internal pouches would be upside down. Like the size, looks good and of fair quality but poor design choices.
Outstanding sling pack and review! Thanks Wendell. RFG has a great lineup and theirs international shipping rates are the best be come across in a long time from a U.S company. There is another RU-vidr I’m subscribed to who’s done a lot of reviews for RFG Thanks Wendell enjoy your Sunday buddy
Here's my top tip, invest in the Grayl Geopress water purifier, which is what I thought you had until you took it out and said it was a Camelbak water bottle. If you have a Sawyer filter keep that as back up.
@@peterv1318 I've just bought the Pathfinder bottle pouch which the Grayl fits into perfectly, with room to spare. It was a bit too squashed into the side mesh pocket of my backpack when I went camping last week, so the pouch will keep it better protected and easier attached to the pack by the webbing. Hot summer days no need for a backpack any more, great for ultralight days out.
@@peterv1318 From the homework I did it seems to be the best one available, well worth the money if you want something decent to carry the Grayl. It's actually bigger than I thought it would be. Corporal's Corner has a good review on youtube.
I like the pack, it looks like something I could use for hunting as most sling packs are to small. I would like to see the side zipper pouch made larger and add more mollie webbing on that side if possible. Btw what do you carry in the very small zippered pouch on the front of the pack? Also does it come it other colors besides the one shown? Please let me know.
I have a sling pack for day hikes, I carve found wood and carry a folding saw and other tools for harvesting. Food water and survival stuff. Easy the get to my stuff and comfortable.
Great looking pack. I love the sling pack idea just wish someone would make one that was left-handed friendly for concealed carry. Keep up the good work.
That is a pretty sweet sling bag . It looks well built lots of storage spots well organized i like that it has an extra strap to keep it secure . I just started following you here i been flowing on Instagram for a long time
Digging the bag, reminds me of the 3v posse pack - the water bottle holder and zipper ccw.. love the side zip on the back pocket setup?? not ambi though is it set more for a righty? thanks for sharing as always
Outside of the pack looks well made and I like the high-vis orange on the inside but the inside material looks and sounds to be cheap nylon/plastic similar to a cheap camping/hiking pack
I like it, I have something similar from Red Rock have you ever reviewed any if there sling packs? I be interested in see that one just to see if mine stacks up lol. Thanks and keep the great content:))
I figured out that I could carry a condor or maxbidition water bottle carrier strapped to the molle opposite of the side pocket to carry the grayl water filter! So I ordered this sling bag. This will be a great day hike bag! ATB Sam Adler
I'm sure if you say it's high quality it is just that. But I'll be damned if that doesn't look like a knock off of the Maxpedition Sitka that I just got.
How do I get contacted to try the things that the companies want you to try they look like they are pretty good and sturdy but I also live in the north eastern united states and do a lot of hunting and fishing and bushcraft also hiking and camping plus survival stuff ( really enjoy my dirt time ) and am always looking for somethings that are sturdy but also econmical
Great review... sling packs are not for me ..prefer 2 shoulder straps yoke ... great size though ... would love to see a smaller pouch from them... 14cm x 14cm x 5cm ..for a cargo pocket...their pouches are way too big...
