I made this for my brother's birthday and everyone at home were amazed by the flavor. All these years all I've got from market is just few ferrero rocher topped on chocolate cake in the name of "Ferrero Rocher Cake". All the kids at home were saying that that a slice of cake is eqivalent to eating a big Ferrer Rocher. Thak you so much Fiona :)

Well traditionally this recipe is calling for oil to give it moist and light, but if you wanted butter just make sure the butter is melted. I got this cocoa powder from local baker store, they have the best dark cocoa powder. Yes you can definitely use Dutch processed one which is quality as well
Can i use vegan butter instead of the oil ? As in cream the butter and sugar together. Or will it change the texture of the cake? Edit: there is too much filling between the cake layers how does it not fall off or get squished out of the sides of the cake ?? Impressive
I loved the recipe, will surely give it a try. One question though. What if i want to reduce the amount of coco powder used in sponge to 1/4 cup as I want it to be less chocolaty. What should i substitute it with and its quantity to adjust the consistency of batter, all purpose flower or hazelnut flour? Will really appreciate your response on this. Thanks

Hi..I have one question regarding the crispy waffle..... I made the same. U did..... In the video while u were cooking it was like oat meal n while u were adding to the flat pan... It was way more liquidy n very less in quantity which u made.... .. n I did not get the same colour u did.... Pls guide as where did I go wrong

Hi dear. Yes you can use 9 inch but the recipe amount may be a little too flat for that size. I suggest for every ingredient, please multiply by 1.30. For example, 133g cake flour (133x1.3=173g). So just one by one for the list of ingredients, each to multiply by 1.30. You'll get a nicer cake for 9 inch pan. ☺️
Please tell, The hazelnut flour which you have put in the wafers, that looks crunchy and texture is also different from the hazelnut flour that you put in the batter, please tell what you’ve put in the hazelnut wafer
Hi dear. that was just simply my hazelnut flour. For some reason, the hazelnut flour isn't 100% refined, hence there is lots of fine nuts in them. I didn't add anything to the flour. That's how the flour came in a pack ☺️
Few things you need to make sure about the whipping cream, 1. The right cream is very important. Look for 35% fat or higher on the packing. Lower than 35% fat will be less stable 2. Whipping cream has to be cold. Whip it as soon as it's out from fridge. To ease and speed up your whipping, add the whipping cream in a chilled bowl. 3. Whip until stiff but don't over whip. Lift up your mixer paddle, it should be able to hold the cream within the paddle. That's a sign of stability Hope this helps

Because I thought there was a bowl of crushed nuts looking like thing that was added to the pan that's not mentioned as part of the recipe but I could be wrong?
