I did find a complete in box factory sealed everGirl Game Boy Advance game for $13.99 on eBay along with Zelda: The Minish Cap, Barbie as the Princess & the Pauper, Winx Club, Enchanted, Pokémon Emerald, Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls, Zelda: A Link to the Past, High School Musical: Livin' the Dream and Disney Princess: Royal Adventure (not to be confused with Annie: A Royal Adventure or Sophia Grace & Rosie's Royal Adventure) which were fun to play

With an entire video dedicated to GBA games, I was convinced that you would have finally snagged Lord of the Rings: The Third Age for the GBA, Pete. Lol, and you didn't disappoint!!! I'm telling you, it's FAR different than the console games, and it much more like a Fire Emblem/Ghost Recon SW type strategy RPG. Worth playing, I promise!

I didn't think it was that great. The music was good and simply playing with your favourite LotR characters was cool. Though I liked this Fire Emblem style better than the console turned based Final Fantasy style.

Yet it's made by Capcom (Inafune) and not Nintendo. Nintendo did send some guys to oversee it (like the director, Fujibayashi) but that's it.

OMGpandemic I've come to realize that I much prefer Capcom's take on Zelda than I do Nintendo's. To me they feel like they maintain a strong connection with the NES original.

DariaPlays I agree. The Minish Cap and the Oracle games feel like real Zelda games. Nintendo went bat shit crazy with gimmicks and Zelda games have really payed the price for that.

Man I wish I brougth games like these 5 years back so many gba boxed games love it. I like how you pin pointed how much everything was worth and gave him 1/3. Todays day 2020 games have shoot up like crazy especially if they are cib. Bro all these games are super elite good

The GameBoy is my favourite system to collect for :) with the Gameboy Player (and a Hori digital controller) it's basically a SNES but the games are much cheaper and more diverse

Flash carts are great for convenience. Even though I bought a flash cart for the GBA very early on I continued to buy every game which was above average. It's just not ideal to bring 20-30 carts with you when you can put them all on one cart and leave it in the GBA. Just my opinion though.

Boktai is hands down one of my top 5 games of all times. I got it for christmas 10 or so years ago and didn't know anything about it, but it was so good. The sunlight sensor element was really well put together.

The GBA, N64, and the 32X are the only systems that I collect catridge based games for anymore. I kind of gave up collecting for 8-bit to 16-bit systems because it simply got way too competitive. With regards to the GBA, I only collect the games boxed and complete but at least even the rarest of the gba games for the most part are less than 100 dollars. It's a lot of good titles, and I feel pretty confident you'll get the majority of them sold.

Golden Sun was and still is bae. Isaac better be put in Smash 4 Camelot needs to make the 4th installment Oh and Shining Force Resurrection of the Dark Dragon is AMAZING.

Start with the first Boktai game! There's a story that runs through the first and second games. The second game constantly refers back to the story from the first game and the second game is much harder in difficulty. Overall, this whole collection was a good find!

I wouldn't be so quick to write-off the GBA version of Activision Anthology. It contains the largest collection of Atari 2600 Activision games released in any anthology (even more than the PC or PS2 versions), as well as 7 homebrew games. For some reason Activision decided to license 7 homebrew games and include them. I've heard these are pretty good games too. I recently purchased this cart for the homebrew games alone. The 2600 version of some of these games can get pretty pricey.

Nice box of games, you got quite alot in that box. I had no idea Rock 'N Roll Racing was rare. But I can kinda see it being because it was a good game. Those JRPGs you got are getting so hard to find now complete in the box.

Just so you know, KH: Chain of Memories is meant to be played before KH2. It was released before KH2 and takes place in between 1 and 2. You might not understand KH2 very well if you don't play COM beforehand. :)

Just admit it *Kappa* I just started trying to track down GBA cib games too (mainly rpgs I missed on the platform). Car Battler Joe is one I really want to add some day, been on the look out ever since I heard about it on AGG a long time ago. I didn't know about Tactics Ogre having bootlegs, literally just got that sealed for like 10 bucks not too long ago. Great stuff Pete! (^.^)b

Nice! I love GBA, I'd don't like collecting complete in box though, the boxes take up way too much room. Much more convenient to keep all the carts in a giant binder in trading card binder sleeves.

I never played the first Boktai, but you can jump into the second one no problem. A friend gave it to me since if you put the cartridge into the GBA slot on a DS while playing MegaMan Battle Network 5 Double Team, you get tons of in game bonuses. As for Tales of Phantasia, having been the first sprite based Tales game I played, I didn't have an issue playing it on the GBA. Still trying to track down a box for the game at a decent price, just so I can complete my US Tales games collection.

Oh and I must add, the GBA is still rather un-molested in the reseller market, and that there are a ton of great games (as the GBA was pretty much a more powerful SNES) so if you have the GC with a GBA player or a Retron 5, many GBA games are totally worth playing on your TV with a SNES controller.

I´m sure I don´t have to tell you, but that was an amazing haul. Starting off with both Golden Sun games in perfect condition already makes it great, and you also got lots of things that I´d love to play, such as Breath of Fire, FF Tactics and Boktai. Heck, even some of the loose cartridges were neat. The Sonic Advance series is nothing to scoff at, either. Lucky guy, you are.

Mario Tennis: Power Tour is one of my favourite games ever, it's considerably better than the GBC version, and even directly follows on from the story of that game. You could beat it in one or a couple of days, I highly suggest trying it out.

Lunar Legend is just a port of the first game, I loved it because it was portable. Also the sprites are very nice to look at.

Kingdom Hearts Chain Of Memories is a really awesome game. I played it before I ever played any of the other Kingdom Hearts games.

That's quite a nice bundle there. Everything looks like it was cared for, and it's nice seeing people being careful with their shipping. I know with me, if I ever sell stuff on eBay, I'm always super picky with how I ship my games/etc. There is nothing more annoying to me (other than a misleading ad when you've read though it carefully) than shoddy packaging.

Regarding Boktai (My favourite Game Series of all Time): Start with Boktai 1. It's more like a stealth Game and Not an Action Adventure so know what you're getting into. The Second one is a mix between stealth and Action Adventure, which doesn't work too well. It's still a really fun game. Boktai 3 is a really solid Action Adventure, which was perfected in Boktai DS (Lunar Knights). Even though I don't like the Setting and style of Lunar Knights compared to Boktai. Boktai has a Western Setting with some Sci-fi aspects. Lunar Knights went completely sci-fi.

Pete Pete, you gotta play Kingdom Hearts. It's such a sweet series, the first game's gameplay does feel pretty unrefined when stacked up against some of the entries. As for Chain Of Memories, the game play mechanics with the cards is quite different and can be quite challenging.

I love it when people give some impressions of the game if they can when doing a pickups video rather than just listing stuff off. This is how I get suggestions for games I haven't heard of or tried. What am awesome score though! I recently got a copy of Rock and Roll Racing for the GBA because I loved in on the Genesis and it's a great port. Certainly worth picking up.

Hey Pete, have you played/owned any of the Mega Man Battle Network games? They're some of my favorite RPG games on the GBA, so if you haven't played them before you should really give them a shot. I was reminded of it because of those beautiful CIB Boktai games which had a lot of cross-promotion with the BN series, specifically Battle Network 4. Also I figured I'd point out "Bass" from Mega Man is pronounced like "base". The hilariously bad dub of Mega Man 8 had Mega Man pronounce it as "bass" like the fish, but he has a dog named Treble, and Mega Man games are filled with music references, so we have to assume it's pronounced "base".

PeteDorr Oh, man! I wish I had never played them so I could play them for my first time again! It's like an RPG crossed with card game/deck building elements. General consensus says 3, 5, and 6 are the best to start with. You don't have to play them chronologically since they all have their own stories. There are minor references made back to previous games, but it's not enough to make games confusing on their own. I'd highly recommend looking into getting a hold of one of them to start with and seeing how you like it!

***** BN2 is actually the only one I haven't finished cause I never owned it back in the day, but I recently got a copy and I'm playing through it now. I'd say it's the first in the series to really have its footwork and a feel for what the series would become, but I still think it's got a bit of the awkwardness from BN1 left. Like the redundancy of there being an escape chip on top of just pressing L to try to escape like what was the standard later on in the series. There's also a lot of Navi fights that are just annoying cause they fill your field with obstacles for the entire battle, such as Toad Man and Thunder Man. Not to say it's bad, I definitely like it better than 1 and 4 but I personally think 3 is the best to start with.

BN2 is the best. BN1 is great too though. I'd just start with 1 & 2, they're quite cheap. I wasn't a big fan of BN3 and BN4. Still to play 5 and 6. The thing that pulls the series down IMO is the amount of backtracking you have to do, you can tell it's kinda low budget when to progress you have to go through one area like 4 times (literally). But BN2 is still one of my favourite action RPGs ever.

hey Pete there is a modded version of the Boktai Games where you can change the sun intensity in game without going outsite. Both games are great and i had a lot of fun with them but playing them outsides with sun shining on the screen is not that great so do yourself a favor and the flashcard that was included

FUgameCrue Most of my GBA games are loose too. I have a lot of boxes for my old games I bought back in the GBA days, but a lot of them are crumpled up and whatnot from being transported around so much. Now I store them all in cases from CustomGameCases.

FUgameCrue I switched from boxed games to cart only not too long ago. It just makes so much more sense to pay $5 - $15 a cart than a $50 minimum. That said if I came across a treasure trove of CIB titles for the right price. I'd keep em.

I have an off-topic question: Do you know of The SIMPLE 2000 game series for the PS2? It's essentially a cost-effective budget series, made in Japan, but the games are really well made and hold a lot of charm. You might enjoy it.
