This video is uncharacteristically long because I didn't know how to cut it so that you guys get a full picture of what needs to be done to be well off financially. I apologize if it's boring. I made a few mistakes in not starting musket production in the colonies on time or not bringing reinforcement from Britain as soon as they were available. Every detail counts early on. Check on construction missions constantly, you don't want to overpay for those. Be careful with the reintroduction of the navy because you can quickly get into financial trouble. Be aggressive with your army. Researching newspapers and the ability to build them everywhere will allow you to spare more troops for offensive actions and expansion. Focus on tax, fur, and economy buildings. Do you have any questions or ideas?

I was just sharing some experience and conclusions drawn from the British campaign about its finances aspect. Nice to see you publishing a guide on the same subject. :)

@@hetmanRTS I haven't finished watching your thing (obviously), so some things may repeat:1. There is an overwhelming number of spending opportunities present from the start, but most of them are "gotchas" and traps, if you make a basic return on investment anlysis. 2. Market stalls are only viable in a few settlements (those with large population and a big pre-existing income), otherwise you spend 1600 money and likely 500 per week for the construction bonus, which means the market stalls will pay for themselves in about half a year down the road, and by that time the campaign in its current state is nearly over. 3.Transporting goods back to Britain is costly (you have to build merchant ships) and the time needed (even though ingame its unrealistically shortened) often makes it better to just sell the goods on the american market and take a not-so-significant drop in the selling price. In general, the economy needs balancing and I'd even suggest different mechanics for making money when playing as Britain, but I'll post those a bit later.

Paying 500 per week is a lot but this is why you target regions with 2 or 3 settlements, reducing the cost per settlement. Focus on economic buildings first to get a return on investment faster. If a fur building takes 120 days to complete in a fort and then you add an officer it drops to 30 days, that is a huge difference. Market stalls give you a base income of 100 + the population size (Hartford or New Haven will give you around 250 in total) If you don't use construction officers you need to keep these regions garrisoned, without the right buildings these settlements will not be able to pay for garrisons, not to mention that you have limited numbers of regiments available that are much needed elsewhere. The alternative is to let settlements rebel, you have to fight more enemy troops and even if you win you have to garrison them again. Subsidizing construction is a necessary evil, doing nothing is even worse.

The funny thing is the British lost the war but somehow still mantained control of us here but it had been swept under the rug there banking system still runs ours and they owned a lot of the land that the Spanish and French had post war through business

Hello, one thing that I have not seen you do, the same thing has happened to me, well, in order to send recruits to reinforce your regular troops in the colonies, you must form the regiments in England, once formed, you disband them, and those troops become recruits, who you must send by sea to the colonies
@hetmanRTS

It doesn't work like that. You pay a lot of money when creating new regiments, so disbanding them to get recruits doesn't make sense. You type 1000 replacements to be sent to colonies, ships will automatically start transporting them until you get 1000 replacements in the colonies. If your regiments in the colonies need replacements, the number of replacements will go down, and transportation of new men to colonies will resume. Men who go to colonies as replacements and new regiment recruits from England come from the same pool of men. This is straight from developers.
