However, this time the cops are one step ahead of the game and are on the verge of busting the biggest South London crime family since the Krays. In the 1920s, the streets of South London were ruled by a totally different gang from the metropolis. Their leader, or so-called Queen, was Alice Diamond. Her gang of forty female thieves was the biggest shoplifting network ever seen in Britain. Eventually Diamond would lose control and bring about her own downfall.
