@@BarryMetStijfe I used to script them, a lot of viewers found it a bit unnatural and the videos them selves took three times longer. I just hope I get better at thinking on my feet :D
Do you know if there is a way to increase difficulty after a game gas started? It's day 25 and I haven't seen cannibals in a few days - I'm near rope gun cave and crashed near there
If you decide to give the guns to Virginia DO NOT add the mods to them as if you take them back from her the mods vanish. It's best to give her the guns unmodded and then get another set to mod for yourself.
And so well structured. Finding stuff on your own and exploring can be fun. But sometimes it's frustrating to get to a location, only to find out that you need a special item to access stuff. And that special item is somewhere far.
Another can opener is very easily attained in the snow spawn point. Go up the mountain to the nearby cave (the one you can build in) and you'll see it on the ground, beside the tents

If I start a new game, I think I'll do this run through right away. I'm doing this after 45 days in game and the mobs are ridiculous. In the last section of the cave to get the shovel there was about 30 enemy to fight. Then when I went to dig for the shotgun, I was attacked by about 15 cannibals while trying to dig.

Great video - exactly what I was looking for. Loving this game but it's my first survival game. Those bats and the first yells from those mud cannibals damn near give me a heart attack every time. Even when I know it's coming, they still get me! lol.
Great video. Exactly what I was looking for. Personally I find the map to be too big and there's very little guidance on where to go next. You could easily go into a cave like the ones for the rope gun and shovel and get demolished early game and then not want to venture into any more caves.
Huge fan. Thanks for giving locations without spoilers! Just a Ginny comment, and how to get her. Find a stream. build a planter with a berry bush, a fire and a bench, just out of your LOS. She can eat, bathe, and rest, at a cost of a few sticks and 2 -3 logs. A "Ginny Garden". If you are very lucky where you camp, you will find a radio, there are quite a few. Get Kelvin to bring the radio to where you made Ginny her "Garden". She's a ballerina, of COURSE she loves music. She will dance and be happy. Also. ahem, base building music. Also, Crunchie Munchies song. She does a different dance than the "flirty ballerina" when listening to the radio. I think watching how the AI reacts to any given situation is the best part of the game.
If you give your original pistol and shotgun to Virginia, does it open up inventory space to collect the second set for yourself? I realize you should give Virginia the unmodified versions of the weapons.
18:07 u missed the one door next to bar and u need Virginias card to enter there and there was few items but cant remember right now what was there, i think u can find another shotgun or rail from there or was it laser or flash light. all i remember that it had something weapon related
@@TotalXclipse i did a new peaceful save to check it and found shotgun rail from the desk next to shotgun ammo in the room. and only items i got on the way there was the flash light out of the key items needed to access that area
nice video i would like to know can we actually use the putter since we find golf balls too or does it just stays stuck as trowable balls and a club use for the putter ? would be kinda fun if we could build our own little putting green for our base :D
When you get the pistol and pistol rail attach laser sight and flashlight attachment. Then collect another laser and flashlight. Becouse you can attach on shotgun (with shotgun rail ofcourse) and crossbow. Yeah you can do that :D How ever only 1 attachment you can apply on shotgun and crossbow. I recommend laser sight on shotgun and flashlight attachment on crossbow. You're welcome :)
Wow the cave for the rope gun is quite hard. So many tough enemies and is so dark. i mean at first is ok but at one point is just so hard to deal with just a spear or the Axe and the ammount of enemies in the cave was kinda crazy in the end.
I spent 10 hours but found everything and finish the main storybecause was in that cave anyway. I stayed on the island and let helicopter go without me. Thank you!
Did the winter coat location change? I found the camp hes talking about like everything is identical even location except theres no skeleton in the tent and no jacket
Since you seem like the expert on SotF, i have a hard time find plats like fireweed, when i find a guide to an exact location i can't find none. Are perhapps some plants in the game not spawning in the spring? maby some only during the fall or summer? Blueberries are always present but many other plants are very hard too locate even with guides.
Your best bet is to just use the seeds you get with the plants to build some wall / standing gardens & plant a bunch of seeds & grow them yourself… won’t have to worry about finding them in the wild anymore 😊
Some of these things spawn in different places but if you visit all the ones shown here you will get them all. Can opener is usually close by where you start.
Great video, thanks! I am perplexed over the performance of the shotgun. Certainly not reflective it inherent balistics. A one ounce slug, depending on brand, travels at 1500 to 1700 feet per second and hits with over 2,000 foot lbs. Slugs are devastating. In the game, the shotgun just mediocre at best. Slugs are stopped by masks and bone armor. I know it's just a game, but if you are going to offer weapons, there is an explanation that they will perform as designed.
Quick tip for anyone. Throwing cannibal body parts will lure the sharks away from you. Great when you're on the raft or in the cave with a body of water
no its the only location, it also happend to me ill reccomend going out of the facility and save your game, get out of the game, reload your save then get back in the facilty and it should be there, hope this helps.😁
@@chair_stealing_goblin Actualy after i asked this question I made save inside facility using tarp and reloaded the game after going back to menu and it worked
You can give one to Virginia the 3 legged/3 armed girl. She can use the pistol and hold onto it for you, then you'll have the 2nd pistol in your inventory.
i don't see blazer and camouflage suit 😢... i tried many times but couldn't get it.. saved, exited to but still nothing 😢 pleases help!!? edit.... winter 🧥 jecket also missing
ye so thx for telling me the right way to go for the rope gun like i almost died 3 times i didnt want to go throught the WHOLE gave i only wanted the ropegun theres nothing else in the cave
Not entirely useless guide, but I must say - locations of these items varies on each playthrough or maybe even steam account? The cave shown here where you found ropegun and crucifix - I got the gun from very different cave and there was no crucifix.

That part is available to everyone, the bluecard door is slightly further along - but we talk about how to get the card in the video too. you'll need to get both the shovel and the ropegun first though
