Legends and Lattes was my favorite book of the year! So many loveable characters, especially Thimble the ratkin. I also love that there is a pocketbook toting granny gangster in this book. 5+ stars!!!
Fantasy is also my comfort genre.. thanks! I'm adding strange and circe on my list. And for any fantasy lovers, the girl who drank the moon is also a cozy read.
I’m not much of a fantasy reader but I fell for the hype around Legends and Lattes so I bought and read it…and I’m so glad I did. I read it in less than 24 hours and absolutely adored it.
Definitely recommend the Monk and Robot series as a cozy reading vibe! The first one is Psalm for the Wild-Built, the second is Prayer for the Crown-Shy, they're both sci-fi novellas with low stakes and just so gentle and cozy and philosophical and about friendship and learning to just be. I loved them!
I loved Strange the Dreamer and its follow on. I was just looking to see if a third had come out the other day. The Secret History definitely has this time of year vibes. I bought in 1992 when I was attending school outside of London, and though it is an American story, when I read it while sitting on my porch back in East Texas, I felt the cold fog from the campus.
Added so many recs to my TBR from this vid! 😍 The coziest reads I could find on my shelf are Love & Pajamas (catana comics) and The Little Book of Hygge (Danish coziness)!
Good idea to advertise pajamas for a cozy winter video! ❄️🤍❄️ I feel like anything that is similar to the nutcracker is my cozy winter dreamy good time. I thought about reading the bear and the nightingale series bc if the Russian lore but it seems kind of sad and political like how the wolf and the woodsmen was.
