I accessorized my HD pistol with things I liked and not so much based on Budget. 1. Gen 4 G17 2. Tru Glo TFX Pro sights 3. Vickers extended slide stop/release 4. O-Light PL-Mini 5. 124gr HST standard pressure 6. OEM mags all the time If I were to replace the Trigger it would be with only Apex since most of their offerings are duty rated and approved by some law enforcement agencies unlike all others some of which do defeat at least one of the 3 internal safeties including just some flat faced stricter shoes to to the extreme angles used.
My father-in-law used to hunt deer from a truck with a .22. Well, poach. Also well, it was a 22-250. Also Also well, they were head-shots. Meat in the pot is meat in the pot for a poor farmer.
The suppressor is a bad idea, its harder to cover a corner plus it can get grabbed if you turn a blind corner in your home. You might want to the to wake up neighbors and they can all the cops while you handle business.
Yeah I agree I mean honestly if I saw a long ass suppressor moving around a corner I’ll grab it, That’s in the bad guys perspective but that doesn’t even matter, just all of the bull crap is not it. Just get a glock you like, something that has some capacity and maybe some night sights. No need for anything crazy.
If anyone has ever been in a shoot house, a suppressor would be a necessity if not running ears. The body can shut hearing down via auditory exclusion under stressful situations, much like hunters can attest to by not being affected when they hunt without ears. But for others nearby it’s not a bad idea. The grabbing of the can is something that could happen but there are so many scenarios that could play out with any home defense situation. I’d say if you can afford to buy the goods, get a can if there’s anyone in the room with you. Plus the thought that neighbors will call police is a toss up. Some people don’t care what they hear coming from the room next door in apartments let alone a whole other house. But I do see what you’re saying. There’s also a chance that you have neighbors who either truly care or are Karens.

Check out first person defender and you will def. change your mind about having a laser on your home defense and yes def get a green one check out that first person defender and you will def change your mind about a laser on your hand gun or rifle what ever you are running
Why are knock over steel targets always have a rope you pull. I feel we can build a motor that pushes them back up. Have a plug in battery you remove with a pad you step on. One person can use it without needing to bend over.
The "nightblind from muzzleflash" statement kinda lost me. Low light classes are hard to find and not cheap, and some of us are lucky enough to have ranges on their property so we can shoot at night. In my experience, having both, muzzle flash does NOT effect vision at night...at all. If anyone needs confirmation for themselves, shoot in the dark or ask Mr. Ayoob or Aaron from Sage Dynamics. They have both commented on this and confirmed.
@@BurstReview It makes sense that it could effect people differently. The other thing to think about is that our weapon light better be on when we are shooting, or we are doing it wrong. Once that light is on, any effect from muzzle blast should be greatly diminished since we arent experiencing a shock of dark to light inside our visual horizon. This should all contribute to us being able to "stack rounds in the cranial vault to achieve instantaneous and complete flaccid paralysis" haha
Nice can! The suppressors not so bad either 🤣. Just throwing it out there.. USCCA will save you those $100,000s of dollars and it covers anyone in your home if they need to defend their life also. Great vid as always!! 🙌👍🤙
Handgun(s) for Home Defense?? *_Why, why, why..._ You could have saved yourself money & time by just buying a $300 to $400 USD Rem. 870 or Moss 500 pump shotgun load with whatever you feel is right and putting it in a corner of the house. The most powerful, reliable, effective, and the ultimate fear striker in the hearts of home invaders. Done. Question: If the home invader is armed he/she/they will almost always have a handgun and/or knives/clubs so _Why_ have the same firepower that the "bad" guy/gal has?? Odd. You want overwhelming firepower to make sure you are the one who win that self-defense battle.
The first part was expensive, this part is beyond expensive, also a suppressor and trigger goes against your list; a suppressor could make a firearm less reliable, and a trigger lightens the pull weight. This should be labeled as a "Spec Ops Glock Build".
The trigger is a personal item, not listed because it could impede reliability. As for the suppressor, I have run this gun for 300+ rounds without cleaning using this osprey with no malfunctions. That's reliable enough for me
@@BurstReview It's not that; my manager throw on an after market barrel and comp on his 19x, which cause malfunctions until he swapped out recoil springs.
@@FunWithGuns Glock 17 with night sights are easily 650. Glocks by themselves are expensive, then you start adding shit, and it starts to become similarly priced to a race gun with none of the race features.
NO way would I put anything on a weapon to make it quit. I want my Neighbors to call the police because they hear firearms. I want it to scare everyone on my block. Including intruders!
Maybe I’m missing something, but I’m pretty sure he was referring to being blinded by the muzzle flash if you don’t use a suppressor, which is a fantastic flash suppressor as well.
Nope. They require a tax stamp for $200, and a background check along with a several month wait. They are legal in more states than not - but some states like CA & MA prohibit them.
Not sure a suppressor is a great idea as they invariably have a negative image on reliability, add a lot of bulk, are expensive, and might not be legal in some areas.
Is it just me or does his gun look a little hilarious? I mean seriously that suppressor looks kinda cool, but that mag man. If you want capacity use the factory glock 33 round mags. That just looks dumb
Speaking from a personal experience that occurred when I was a teenager, my mom's boyfriend was shot in the face with a 22 rifle (I was found not guilty by jury trial) And it *did not* stop him or alter his advance towards me. I would not trust a 22 I was a different person back then and in my 20's. The birth of my son almost 6 years ago is the blessing that set me on a better path. Very lucky to be a free man and very lucky to be alive considering things I lived through 🙏🏻 praise God
Silencers are a bad idea for a home defense gun. All the problems you say it solves could be solved by a set of electronic earmuffs at a fraction of the cost. Not only that but having an eight inch rod that can be grabbed, especially in the confines of indoors, is no good. Finally, I want everyone to know that there is a home invasion taking place. I want the bad guy to know he's being shot at (the psychological effect of the flash and especially the bang can not be understated). I want the whole block to know shit is going down at my residence so help can arrive sooner.
Personally I prefer something like ar9 or scorpian or even AR pistol to a standard handgun (even though all are legally pistols lol). Handgun is definitely easier to store safely if you have kids but you cant deny many advantages you get from more points of contact and still having a compact enough package to go around a wall or doorway
