Between dynapro or kuvings vacuum blenders which would you recommend?
@timrauser8201

I've been using this method for about a week (although I am hand-pressing) and have been adding about a handful of soaked almonds, water, and a tiny bit of crushed ice to my mix. The ice is meant to keep the temperature down and hopefully preserve more nutrients. The almonds create an almond milk base for the rest of the greens. I have always heard it's good to take in a little fat with green juices to aid in the absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins contained therein. What are your thoughts?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Год назад
Yes, I believe there are benefits to including some fats with the juice, but there is also benefits to not including fats sometimes as well. I sometimes add fats to my juices, but its fairly rare.

That's a great idea, John- vacuum blender shreds all, then press with that really nice little juice press. You cant get much better juice than that. Thanks. I have a VOID vacuum blender top for my Blendtec and may get one of the new Kuvings professional commercial vacuum blenders (using code DJ91).

Honestly, the dynapro is better for vacuum juicing (due to the larger and more wide carafe) then the void systems lid/container for blendtec or vitamix blenders. However, most people may already own a vitamix or blendtec, in which case the lid is a no-brainer.

The Jasna press is a highly recommended device. Although a little high work, but the best possible juice quality for little money. Only with hydraulic presses beyound € 3000 there is an even better juice quality.

How long did that take? You don't usually do cuts like this. What hidden costs are associated with the press?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Год назад
One of the downsides to this is the process. It does take some time to cut up, vacuum blend, and then press out each batch. It is also a fair bit of work, but the outcome is the most juice extracted and the highest quality juice extracted. So each person needs to see if they would do all this work for the highest yield juice and most quantity. Honestly, I personally rarely ever use hydraulic press that you have to jack-up myself. I prefer to use the Nama J2, which is much easier, but I forego yield & top quality.

@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Год назад
I have not done a comparison between those two systems yet. Each one has their own pros and cons. The Dynapro is about 2x the cost of the void systems kit. But the carafe is larger and has a 15 yr warranty, where as the void only has a 3 yr warranty. The void is better if you are impatient, as there are dual pumps that work much faster. It really just depends on your specific goals and the specific features that are important to you (and your budget)

John I picked up the Tri-Best vacuum blender from you over a year ago and it's still super fantastic. I got it primarily because of the nutritional value that you discuss in your videos. can you calibrate the increased differential of nutrition approximately with this particular rig that you use in this video. I like the idea of the dual pump and the read out that gives you the Mercury in inches, how much more does it pull than the try best? I like that it continues extracting air as it juices but I kind of do that myself manually with the tribe best. I'm the guy that was trying all those wacky manual juice presses about a year ago because I have issues with my hands but as it turned out using the juice bag cleared up my issues. who knew? that press is exactly what I was looking for at that time however I've become happy ringing out the juice bag. anyway the question here for both devices is how much more nutrition would I be getting if I were to find another home for my try best and put up a thousand bucks into this. if it is significant I'd certainly consider it. please reply
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Год назад
I dont feel it would be a significant increase in nutrients going to the VOID from the Dynapro. If you use the tribest manual pump, it will pump MORE than the void dual pumps, or the tribest pump. tribest.com/collections/dynapro-parts-accessories you would need the pump and the hose. Glad you were finally able to use the bags. I find them about as good as a press, and you get some exercise, and about the same yield too (depending on what is being juiced)
@Paelorian
@Paelorian Год назад
John, I've been waiting years for this video! Ever since you introduced me to vacuum juicing using nut milk bags through your videos, I and many others have wondered about how it would work with a press. Well, I wonder no more! Squeezing the nut milk bag takes much more time and effort than I expected. Vacuum blending may still he more effort than conventional juicing, but this looks faster and easier. Just crank it up. That hydraulic press is more appealing to me than other presses I've seen. Stainless steel, so easier to clean (usually dishwasher-safe) and no worries about longevity or leaching into the food. To me, this looks like an easier way to juice because I'd like to juice for several days at once. So vaccum juicing becomes more important to preserve nutrition, as I'm not always drinking fresh juice. I can see how a conventional juicer like the Nama would be easier for a daily juicer, but this setup looks easier to my inexperienced eye for someone who juices for several days at once. John, if I had the money I'd spend the thousand dollars (or more) for this press and a Dynapro and I'd do it through you. I've learned so much about juicing through you, I aspire to buy a high-end juicing appliance from you! I'm currently suffering with my $80 (sale price) Oster vacuum blender of clearly inferior performance (I have to keep breaking the vacuum to tamper) and cheap synthetic nut milk bags. It works, though clearly with more difficulty and worse results, but I know superior machines like this are an investment in my diet and health because by making juicing easier they'd make me juice more. I hope you'll go back to full or "fast-forward" work segments instead of just cutting to when the work is done, I want to see the process! It's valuable to see someone who knows what they're doing use the machines. I wanted to see how long the press took to work. You say it takes a while, but it looks much faster than a nut milk bag. And I wanted to see how an expert would deal with that difficult situation in the Vitamix where the food was stuck! I would have given up and broke the vacuum seal to tamper the food down, maybe even add water before resealing, but maybe all that was necessary was shake vigorously. Thanks for this video. Nobody else does these detailed videos. Your comments in the videos and in the comment section comparing different ways to make juice are invaluable. The linen cloth care tip was really interesting to me, I was wondering how to care for natural fibers used for juicing. It's not laundry, of course! I'd figured on washing and drying it with soap but the method you describe is much better because I'm sure that juice isn't all coming out. And it's easier. I'm willing to boil and store (and left long enough uncovered in a frost-free unit, eventually dry) in a freezer. This is a complicated way to juice, but it's always complicated. I think the best way varies greatly depending on the needs of the person making juice. For me, shopping and prepping the vegetables is much more work than using the juicer and I think dropping them in the blender and then pressing the pulp wouldn't be significant work, only the cleanup would be. But my juice would last longer, and I'd spend less time juicing and squeezing the bag. This press looks easier than using a nut milk bag or juicer. Everything is a trade-off, but this is an excellent way to juice for some people. I make small quantities for myself that I want to last days, and I don't like spending ten or fifteen minutes squeezing a bag, and I prefer traditional safe materials like stainless steel and linen, so this method may fit my needs. Thank you very much for the video. Many people would say the juicer isn't so important, just get juicing. But the obstacle for me and many others isn't a lack of nutritional information or juicing recipes. It's the difficulty of juicing. Watching you videos, I learn different methods and tools for juicing and tips to make juicing easier. The easier jucing becomes for me, the more motivated I am do it. So the information you share with the public is very helpful to many people. Because of you, we have an easier time juicing and drink better juice, and we get more excited to juice and drink vegetables. Thank you very much!
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Год назад
Glad I am here to share all the various methods of juicing with others, and I appreciate that you understand that one juicer (or juicing style) may not be right for everyone. So that is one of my goals, to show all the ways you can juice and share the pros and cons of all the different methods. For me I would rather hand squeeze alexas bags (costs alot less) also than using this press, but the press is a bit faster than hand squeezing - depending on what is being juiced. The less fiber, the easier the hand squeezing and the more difficult the press is to use, due to the excess liquid.

Void system does not want on vitamin accent …is that correct. Are they planning on coming up with one that will?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Год назад
Correct. The void systems vitamix carafe+lid will not work on the Ascent or other SELF-DETECT blenders. This is because vitamix put a proprietary chip in the carafe, so non-branded blender carafes will not work. I doubt other companies will come out with aftermarket carafes for this system as it may be a patent infringement. My recommendation: sell the Ascent and get a traditional model, that does not have this chip, which forces you to use Vitamix branded carafes.

It really depends. I compare vacuum juicing to the Sana 727 in the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7ILENcNpVOw.html where I show the process of both methods. The blending/pressing process is a lot more work than the Sana 727 for sure. That being said it really depends on the specific recipe. For higher fruit recipes then I would do the vacuum juicing. For higher leafy greens, I would opt towards the 727. If including Root veggies, auger juicers including the sana 727 are not optimal for maximum extraction, and a grinding and pressing style juicer is much more effective.

@Crystal11Skulls
@Crystal11Skulls 5 месяцев назад
@MrContento The only thing I can find (besides DIY hydraulic pressers) are juice pressers by hand on Amazon, where you rotate a bar at the top clockwise and it uses a block to press the juice. Far more affordable ($60-$110) but looks like far more effort and time. We need the free market to create other hydraulic juice pressers. 😫 $2,000 for a juice press is insane. But the yield (both quality and quantity) is far superior than any other juicer type I can find. I have watched countless videos, and all juicers (like the nama) create either way less yield or not as liquified as a hydraulic press. This is so frustrating. If I find a hydraulic press, I will comment and let you know. Please do the same!

I thought grinding damages the cell walls and was frowned on hence the slow press slow juicer
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Год назад
Every method of opening cell walls (to release nutrients) has its own set of pros and cons. The grinding element of the Norwalk Juicer runs at 3450 RPMS, which does a good job at blowing open cell walls with multiple hits when a grid is used. Due to the higher RPM, oxygen is introduced into the mixture, which causes some oxidation damage, IMO. Slow juicers run at a LOWER rpm (some as low as 40 RPM) that adds minimal oxygen into the mixture, however on root vegetables, it does not grind as FINELY as the norwalk juicer. Next meet the vacuum blender: it blends at high speed, and does better than a slow juicer as it done in an oxygen deprived environment (under vacuum) so it doesn't have the oxidation problem,, and because it grinds BETTER than the norwalk, more nutrients are released. Vacuum blending does the best at grinding ALL produce items into the smallest particle size.

Here is another option: Generally Gerson therapy requires carrot/apple juice. So first step: process apples only in vacuum blender to make apple juice. Then use this juice to blend pre-cut carrots. Does the Nama J2 keep the nutrition just the same as in this video?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Год назад
No. No juicer will make as much nutrition as this set-up IMO. Because: 1. grinds to a finer particle size 2. does it in abssense of oxygen 3. exerts more pressure on the pulp to further damage and blow open cell walls due to 2 tons of force. That being said, this is much more work than the Nama J2. So each person needs to determine how much time and effort they want to put into juicing. This is some of the most time and effort IMO. Generally I personally use the Nama J2, and unless its for a video or other rare situation, I don't use this technique myself, as I feel the J2 makes a good quality juice. If I had a medical condition and needed to heal, I would use this technique instead.
