A lot of Capcom characters were lost on the way from MvC2 to Infinite but Strider remained to the end. Most respect to this guy, I hope he remains a main of the series in the next games too
Honestly, strider to me is one of my favorite capcom characters. He may only had a few games in his series, but he's very popular in the mvc series. And I wish I could see him as a DLC character in smash ultimate in fighter pass 2.

From what I've seen, Strider's essentially a canonical legend. Makes sense, though: The speed! The prowess!!! The focus!!!! The ninja skills that set him apart from everyone else...this guy deserves a little more attention than he seems to be getting.
In the original game Strider saw a flying battleship and remarked "You must be joking! You're sending a toy into battle?" the person he was talking to even said they would continue to control the World as long as they had that battleship, after effortlessly tearing through it Strider goes through the rest of the game and kills Meio who had attained Godhood, after watching the DeathBattle I also learned that Strider can easily sever someone's torso with just his bare hands with ease. So yeah he's kind of strong.

Andrey Kusanagi it’s in the Strider manga, which is detailed in the Strider Hiryu vs. Ryu Hayabusa Death Battle. That’s not even the craziest thing Hiryu is capable of. (The manga was sort of a companion piece to the Strider NES game, which was bizarrely only released in the U.S. at the time.)
When I first heard that Screw Attack was doing a Death Battle of Ryu Hayabusa vs Strider Hiryu, I was both hyped and unsure of who would win because I liked both characters. But soon I realized that despite Ryu having a wide range of weapons, skills, and abilities. Hiryu outclasses him in almost every aspect when comes to speed and weaponry. Not only was Hiryu more then capable of slicing through most of Ryu's weapons like bread n butter with his Cypher's Plasma Energy, but he could move at a speed of light, dodging anti-aircraft bullets that were designed to hit him and surviving in outer space. And he could cut through limbs with his bare hands!... Which is disturbing as hell. In the end though, both characters will always remain as one of my favorites and most powerful video game ninjas in my book.
Wolf Blade Raiden may have the skills, but he relies too much on technology, so Hiryu has him beat on this one. Another huge advantage for Hiryu is that a lot of Raiden's tools and weapons are man-made metal, making it easy for him to slice through them with the Cypher's Plasma Energy.
ForeRunnerODST Oh yes indeed. Lets not forget that even without the Cypher, Hiryu is still dangerous because he can hack limbs off with his bare hands. While Raiden on the other hand, isn't much of a hand to hand combat expert because Snake bested him in CQC in Metal Gear Solid 2.
Sigh... ima miss these remixes when infinite comes out. They stayed true to the original source... infinite is just... jeez... like I can handle the art style and HUD... but dont screw up the music dood. Cmon...
MunkyDrag0n That's what I thought of it at first, but I listened to it some more and now I kind of like it. The Strider 2014 version is still the best, though.
You are free to like it, but I cannot understand why. It does not resemble the previous mvc strider themes or the 2014 theme in the slightest. The new version has to have some semblance to past versions to qualify as...a remix. Does it stand on its own? I would say not. I have heard better from royalty free music and expected much more complexity and flair from Capcom.
Now this is one character I have no problem at all. An awesome character who has proven himself in his own series and the MvC games. Even I love his theme. ^^
I just hope that there won't be a problem with licensing rights which between Capcom and Moto Kikaku (manga company) I heard that was the reason why Strider was cut from the normal MVC3 but brought back in UMVC3. If there's no dispute then out favorite ninja Strider Hiryu should be in MVC: Infinite.

Sorry for being a nerd here, but it's not a sword, it's a cypher, which releases plasma as it's swung and as well makes a high-pitched noise when it's swung. Not a good weapon for a FREAKIN' NINJA.

IMO I like this theme. The MvC1 version had a more "ass-kicking", hot-blooded vibe. This remix, to me at least, seems to represent Strider's long return from hiatus. The MvC1 theme is still better, but this version is good in its own right.
When you hear this theme it's because you made the mistake of defeating Strider's team mates. He now has level 3 X-Factor. Say good-bye to your entire team.
I love striders english voice over. always thought they'd give him the generic anime pretty boy voice. but nah his voice is deep as fuck. he sounds so bad ass with a actual intimidating Japanese accent
Jonathan Rios No, UMvC3 was TJ Storm and Strider remake was Marc Biagi. Marc was the better of the two. But really, neither match up to his Japanese voice. To be honest, after hearing his performance as Wonder-White in Wonderful 101, I think Yuri Lowenthal could pull off Hiryu nicely.

@owned2dabone I was talking about the guys who were arguing over the music/gameplay in Fire Emblem games. That literally has nothing to do with Strider. :P What you said makes sense, so I wouldn't direct it at that. Sorry for the confusion.
