also see the DeTune video for slower indoor flight. Landing gear and frame for PRO is heavier and broader to prevent tip overs better. Fly bar yes stabilizes however a gyro is different.

Okay awesome. I see some people on here who buy these and they pay less to have shipped in a 3rd party package. Me personally I wouldn't want something takin out of its original package just to save a couple bucks. Thanks bro

Several things here: Be aware that the vertical stabiliser can shift along the boom, so push it right back before flight. Also interesting is the photo on the front of the box and the manual show the reverse of what this plane really is - quite confusing, since it appears the main rotor goes anti (counter) clockwise from the top, when the reverse is true. Finally the spares kit does not contain spare main rotor screws (oddly) but don't despair. The ones in the charger are the same size, so I stole one from there. Thanks for video!

Nice review thanks. My V911 V2 arrived 2 day's ago...it's a total joy to fly. May have to get the V911 Pro now too. I'm amazed with the quality and durability of these little birds for such low cost...WLtoys have nailed it! So wish I hadn't paid 3x the price for a Blade mSR a month ago...Over priced piece of junk has never hovered properly!

Hi Erik, thnka for that great review. Wind is of course an issue no matter what size or weight the machine is but would you say that flying the V911-pro in 5+mph is insane and likely to result in it being carried away never to be seen again. I would hope that if it was moving at a reasonable rate it's momentum would help it from getting carried away.

I have this helli and love it. wish i could find one that flys the same but like 5 times bigger. It is simple to fly and beats any blade product out there.

Do you find the pro dipps when bank turning more than previous model.Also would you recommend the aluminium shaft add ons im thinking of just adding server adjuster and the inner prop for strength I wish they made ali links I reckon the plastic must stretch and affect flight.

I love this heli. but you can't fly it in any wind. I was thinking about getting the v912 brushless. What would you suggest I upgrade to. I'm, not a good pilot but I don't crash the v911 anymore and I want to fly in light to moderate winds. Thanks a million.

I have flow a 107G and i am thinking for getting this one. I am also thinking of the F3 as well. which one do you think is an all round fun helicopter to have? if you had to pick one which one will you pick

Syma F3 is built more durable and is more stable in a hover. But the F3 is slow, even in high mode. It can't even fly in 2-3 mph winds outside. It's more of an indoor copter. The V911 is a little less durable but is way faster and is better for outdoors. So indoors, go for the F3, outdoors go for the V911.

try it in 30 kph wind if your a good pilot you can do it... i have loads of times and in a bit higher winds then 30 kph as well.

got one of these last week. Got flying down O.K, but how can I improve my forward motion? weight? When I put the lever in full forward it creeps along. Great forward motion while turning

There's a couple things you can do. First check the servo control arm. There's two holes. One on the inside and one on the outer part of the arm. Make sure the rod is in the farthest hole to get the max movement. You can see it at this time: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ppHTEBtgI8k.html Another way is to add a lot of power when going forward. Adding forward trim will also help. Also try swinging the tail around slowly then going forward, the weights on top will start to tilt forward and your helicopter will fly faster. It's hard to explain but you'll start to get a feeling for what the top weighted gyro is doing and you can harness its momentum to make this heli do what you want it to.

If you're a total newb then you'll want to learn to fly over some soft grass away from trees or other hard objects. It will take some getting used too! It's far from "difficult" but it's not the easiest to fly either. On a helicopter difficulty level, I would rate it a 5 (1 = easiest 10 = hardest). Start out just hovering a few feet above the ground. Make sure it's trimmed! Being a single rotor, it is faster than co-axial helis and will handle different. Make sure you're crashing it low to the grass while you're learning and it'll last you a long time. Thanks for the comment!

Can someone explain the purpose of the 2 little 'tabs' on one side of the Landing Skids on the older version? I thought they were a manufacturing defect in the one I got, but I've noticed them in almost every video.

I'm guessing they're used for stability when taking off and landing. The V911 has a slight tilt if you look at it when hovering. The two tabs on the landing skids correct for that tilt when it's on the ground. That way when you land and take off the helicopter is already tilted slightly so it doesn't tip over. I haven't tested this theory by cutting off the tabs but I'm pretty sure that's correct =).

A single main rotor helicopter will drift in the direction of tail rotor thrust. The reason the helicopter is tilted the other direction is to counteract the thrust from the tail rotor. Thats why it's always tilted to one side. As he said, the little tabs make the helicopter tilt that way when its on the ground. In the air it tilts that way on its own.

got any engine problems if you fly it for like battery after battery ? because the syma f3 doesen't like it if you fly strait for 50 mins... ( engine dies within a week) if you dont let the motors cool off after each battery

50 Mins! How many batteries do you have? Yeah, the the motor does get really hot! I blow on mine and let it cool for about 5 mins if I'm flying more than once. Or else the solder joints connecting the to motor will melt.

Erik Summer with the syma f3 youl get 2 batteries, i orderd 3 extra.Then my syma f3 died , orderd a second one ( got 2 batteries with that) 7 x 7 mins = 50 min ish flying..but thanks for the tip! ...Because i was new to the flying, had to find out the hard way.. hope i can give my new incomming , syma f3 , v911 prov2 and hisky HFP80 a better life now with letting the engines cool off..Greets

hey thanks for your review! I've bought myself one of these yesterday and having great fun with it so far. however, when i instruct the tail rotor to turn left quickly, it does so, but the main rotor sometimes cut for a short moment, causing the heli to drop around 70cm or so.. have you also experienced this? any suggestions as to how to fix it? Many Thanks! :)

The flybar is probably hitting the canopy. You may be stretching it's capability. Look for scratches on the canopy.

Same to you! There are fixes posted in several different places on the web but one says to use the newest canopy and others mention using other flybars including those with smaller weights or paddles. Here's a thread that might help.... www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1990190

whats the slow setting for indoor? and fast setting for out doors? mode 1 or 2 ? which is which. just got my v911 v2 today

I'm pretty sure it'll say "L" for low or "H" or high. If it does say mode 1/mode 2 then mode 1 will be the slower setting for indoors. But if it's new, I would learn outside preferably over grass.

I can't tell the difference in speed. It might be slightly faster but hard to notice. I will check on using the same radio when I get home and let you know.

Erik Summer the ttransmitter works for both v911s, the 911- 1 is faster and lighter but less stable.

The V911 version 2 (latest model) does fly the same as the H911 and uses the same battery. There are some small differences, but they're mostly clones of each other.

Thanks for responding. I placed the battery on the charger until the red light went off. Is there something I was suppose to do to prep the helicopter for flight? Both blades spin and the copter moves just will not take flight.

elleokingmedia Nothing needs to be done to prepare for flight besides charging and placing batteries in the controller. It sounds like you have a weak battery. Contact the seller and have them mail you out a new one! Just describe what you have told me and that you believe the battery is dead.

I purchased one of these version 2 pro version of the 911, but it doesn't fly level, but leans to the left. I have tried to adjust servo control arms, but nothing fixes this problem. The heli yaws to the left and I use alot of trim to move it back right, but the lean is always there even if I get it to hover pretty level. I noticed that when I adjust the link arms to make it go back left, in order to center the trim, this seems to affect it not staying level forwards and backwards. The weight or gyro arm on the top of the blades ha already broken, and I am a decent pilot. I'm not sure if this heli is defective or what is the problem,? Help would be appreciated!

Erik Summer HI Eric and thanks for the reply and information. Mine tilts and will not stay hovering buy tends to want to drift left yaw, I need to input quite a bit of right on the trim. I noticed doing this will effect forward movement, also have similar problems when adjusting the link arms to the swash plate and connects to the servos. It honestly feels like something may be defective on this particular heli, so may just return it for another, and the n make the upgrades Canna has suggested. Curious do you think I might be better off to just get a version 2 and skip the pro altogether? Also looking at bigger heli for outside flying, so do you have suggestions especially those from WL Toys? Thanks Again!

Karamelia Mitchell When it drifts, is it constantly drifting to the left? I know flying inside can cause a lot of wind form the blades and that wind will bounce off walls and push your heli making it seem like it's out of trim. Try outside on a very calm day. I'm curious if attaching a small amount of weight to counter the drift would work... You might want to let the place you bought it from know that it had the problem right out of the box! By the way, Amazon has an amazing return policy! For a larger heli, the V912 is good amzn.to/1CAi2c4 It's a single blade so it will take some practice.

mal kuwon I'm pretty sure it's the same motor, there only a few minor body differences like stronger landing gear and improved canopy.

I have 2 911 v2 and saw the new Pro version, and had too have it. All excited when it arrived, but very disappointed with it's flying, maybe I just got a bad 1 The tail I have too do full trim too get it straight, and had too adjust the swash too get it flying forward, also turning the blades by hand, the gears jam. I have the 911 V2 now for 2 years and fly everyday indoors and with no wind outside, never had any damage or problems with too 2 Heli's. Sorry too say I do not see any improvement with the Pro

Yeah, you obviously got a bad one. You should have returned it or got a refund. Ordering through Banggood or Tmart is nice because they will take care of any problems and send you a replacement or a refund. The v911 pro is indeed an improvement over the original. Especially if you upgrade it to the fisheye swashplate and paddle flybar! The upgrade is only a few dollars! Totally worth it! A must in my opinion!

***** I bought a Wl toys V933 heli it has never flown properly, more complaints about it here on RU-vid, but Banggood just played stupid, no refund or return. I finally ordered a new mainboard. Banggood is great, I order a lot of stuff from them, sometimes it takes 7 days or 21 days too deliver. If it is out of stock you can get a immediate refund. If you try and put a negative comment about a product, it will not get posted, I did try with the V933, only positive comments are posted, so in my opinion comments are not that reliable, often also from there own workers
