I love the way white Apostolic girls look more wholesome and modest. I have been moved to more Holiness dressed by God. Asking God to keep the restaurants pass 10 pm,lol.
A bit of my story: Do Apostolics realize they all look and act the same relatively like all the girls doing their hair and stuff there's no sense of difference or personality and the way they dress too, there's no room to be one's personal individual self and be who "you" want to be it's always in a way chosen for you . There's Argument from Authority, Argument from Minority and Argument from Ignorance. I grew up this way and it did not do me well for my circumstances I was like naive and sheltered in my own way and all I knew was church and its culture, I am no longer a theist any longer I transitioned to "Normal" Christianity and then now to an "Unbelief" Atheist. You wont believe what my mother put me through when I tried transitioning to be myself and tried to wear pants and so on. Religion was also shoved down my throat, I was treated like crap , and I want allowed to even be myself and wanting to listen to other types of music when I was home, which I had to live at home because of circumstances my mom is overly spiritual and rebuke stuff in the middle of the night when im trying to get some sleep and then open the sliding glass door and tell the demon to leave ( I think the spirits can wait while I get sleep lol) Anyways now I have two piercings in my ears , I wear pants for a long time now and yes that cliché an apostolic may ask "why is it so important" ?? Well I just want to be who I am and be happy the way "I want to be happy and live my life accordingly not by the so called will of some supernatural being our that pull from church culture and atmosphere that you feel pressured into because its not about your dreams or your wants or your desires although your told God wants that . It leaves people in a hurt area there is also hype in the Apostolic realm although they also can say there's not a hype going on when they are preaching. So many people don't actually get what they want out of life always praying and trying to get all powerful in the spirit and so on but its a fantasy world life doesn't work that way. No matter how many quote on quote powerful songs they sing and or what they say in prayer we don't always get what we want out of life because of our circumstances there are 7 billion so odd people in the world meaning everyone has different lives, different countries, and the economy we have to live in reality .
Goober56760 im sorry youve experienced so much hurt by certain individuals in church but you must realize that not everyone in the church (Pentecostal or Apostolic) is the same. What will you do when someone hurts you in the 'normal- church you now attend? Truth be told we are ALL flawed. We all have sinned & done hurtful things to people ourselves. We are all as guilty as those we say hurt us because we've hurt someone before. You said you are now apart of 'normal' Christianity but i encourage you to seek the Lord Jesus & not mainstream Christianity. I too thought the way i was brought up was too strict but now that i am older & i see so many young people bound by sin, i appreciate the teaching of true holiness living. Matthew 7:13 admonishes us to enter in at the straight gate. The way to Heaven is narrow. We can not live the way we want to live & expect to make it in. The key is to fall in love with Jesus. He has called us OUT OF worldliness & into holiness & He leads us how to dress & how to live. Read what the Spirit has to say to the 7 churches in the book of Revelation. Only 2 out of the 7 churches was approved. Holiness is not a denomination but a lifestyle so there are people who REALLYwant to make it & live right in alot of churches. You can still have a personality & be who the Lord has called you to be & dress modestly all at the same time. True identity is found in falling in love with Jesus & being spirit filled & spirit led... not earrings & a pair of pants. Im a young man so i appreciate women who clothe themselves & are different from the world & the "church world" because almost anything goes in a lot of these churches but its supposed to be like this because we are in the end times. Again, simply love the Lord Jesus & ask Him. He will reveal Himself to you because He loves you to life!
what a cliché answer as if I am a heretic for wanting my personal best out of life and actually be happy , you yourself have every right to be happy , and you have every right to your feelings although your being ignorant . Every one has their own person hood of being and believing and their own scope of view, when you talk to people do things this way.. Thank you for caring I am not in mainstream Christianity I was for a while in my own way and there's nothing wrong with it either it's actually a lot more balanced and healthy..I am in an "unbelief" Atheist which is just a "word" for not believing in a supernatural being you may look it up. I did not experience a lot of hurt and pain by many individuals just a few in a certain way I did not even say that in what I wrote ...you came up with that all by yourself, sorry lol and as for the women..no one is in charge of somebody else's body or preferences . Either man or women can have a hard time with something that's apart of being human. No one has to bow down to somebody else's preferred preferences and "Belief system" not even mine lol. If it was all apart modesty although its not do you realize how many people would get raped in the summer lol but its not true is it and if you look at other countries and their way they have less of a crime rate lol and their not even a Christian nation. So anyways I could say a few more things maybe you should look stuff up perhaps..My country America is not even a Christian nation. so I could say some more Bye.
