Swap the feet for featherweight and you can run a kite shield with all light armor, and still be light. You are a healer, do you need heal from the tumblers that is weaker than your worst heal, and is dependent on you dodging an attack? You don't have to splash the ground, orb does 145% weapon damage. Put it in your enemy's face with aegis. The shield isn't just a block, when you are holding it, it's a list of perk options you didn't have without it. You are nerfing the potential of your flail without one. Want more armor? With featherweight, run a coin shield, med legs, and your choice of med head, med feet, or med hands. Go really crazy and use med head, hands, feet, featherwieght, and light pants, with a coin shield and still be light. The difference in total armor is negligible between med chest all light, and a two or three piece med combo. Flail is a utility, the shield is a min 4 useful perks of that utility. good luck
HOW DARE YOU COME AT ME WITH GOOD IDEAS Wow, I literally hadn't even thought about this. If its as good as it sounds its your fault when I get banned from my server. Thanks for taking the time to type it all out.🤌
@@w4zz_ytyes you can, that’s how i run, kite shield offer better utility on smite than round shield (you have the stagger) the dmg from round shield i dont think is that good tbf
Thanks for this build, finally I feel like I'm contributing something to my team. Basically never PvP'd in this game despite playing from launch wih some long breaks. Literally played my first ever OPRs this week and just finished in the top 5 on my 4th match. I made some adjusments, like having a round shield and medium armor, but still feels good enough for me.
Kirk, my boys and I play against you all the time on Castle of Steel. We got tired of queueing 3v3s without a healer so I elected to be the guy to try a more PVP oriented healing build (I've been a bruiser since launch). Remembered you so I stole this build and put it together using stuff I had in storages and rolling some Expedition stuff. First match tonight I won a 3v1. And my life staff is only level 6. This isn't even a joke. Anyway, no hate to you. You are clearly a cool guy and this is a genius build. I couldn't beat um so I'm joining um. Keep up the great content.
I’ve been trying a PvP build similar to this. Didn’t want to drop the shield but realized it’s kind of useless since you’re rolling not blocking. Looking forward to trying this!
funny thing is i decided to try this without shield in light gear with 2 pieces of medium and then i logged out to look at some flail builds and i see you with the same build i just tryed so its nice to knoiw im goin in the right directions. even using the same skills in flail and life staff.
Got almost all types of build like on 90% what i want .. Only healer is missing so i will steal this build ❤❤ thanks! At least i will not be bored and have something to do 😄
no one runs jasper because most weapon get max empower in their combo anyway, and jasper is the only gem that is empower, so it sounds good, but AGS is lying to you. you'll also want the new LS for DPS. and most bow damage is elemental, so is FS and BB abilities, so you will want Ele aversion to avoid the big bursts and you'll see your survivability go up. I find a medium build with a kite shield that is more focused on buffing allies with 90% fortify to be more useful than the small amount of damage that the flail can add. though both builds are less useful than a full healer build running LS and Rapier.
Don't worry! The helmet perks aren't super important. As long as they make sense it doesn't matter. Health, enchanted, elemental aversion, physical aversion, shirking are the main ones to look out for. I always hit up the market to look for cheap ones that are close to what I want, you might get lucky there.
I like it in theory but I think that the way that I play, mending vortex/blessed/plagued strikes is the way to go. You could probably replace the blessed with burden though and be fine
@@KirkTheStampede Blessed doesn’t do much for you on flail.. also you can put mending vortex on your shield which is common for Flail. When you wanna go full make people rage quit.. try void plate chest with shirking heals, pvp head/boots with refreshing, health, shirking heals and get some pants and gloves made with shirking heals… kite shield and be in medium.. lil less heals but you will be a monster to kill with almost 2k physical and elemental.
Not yet, havent gotten a burdening one yet. But i feel like its more for a tank support build than dps like this. most ppl will murder you with one set of CDs so it doesnt matter anyays.@@rovonnrussell
Only if they are stunned. So with this build having no stuns (I dont think trip counts) you wouldnt be getting the extra damage. I think Odo is more for a Hammer/Flail or SNS build
