Dude. I’m normally not a fan of the faux patina look but you absolutely knocked this one out of the park. Very well thought out and executed. It looks badass! Can’t wait to see the service bed matched to it. Nice work man 👏
It will be interesting to one day see how it would look if it actually did start rusting and the combo mixed together between actual rust and painted rust
Adam, you are a bona fide artist!! That patina paint job is fire!! It looks fantastic!! The airbrush touches really brought it out plus the clear coat at the end!! Nice work!!
I learned a lot from the ranchero job and I’m glad I came back for another attempt at a different approach. The ranchero was rushed and poorly planned on my part. Thanks for checking them both out!
While I can appreciate a very nice clean shiny pain job I must say this is my favorite spray job that I've seen u done over the years of me watching ur channel u are an artist
Holy shit man that looks amazing! And very sharp and concise instruction for want of a better word! I'm going to be painting my '50 Buick in a patina style and will definitely be referencing this video!!
It's like the Ranchero all over again but better. You really knocked it out of the park. I would love to see you take this Lincoln Town car to the insurance company for a vehicle inspection or to CarMax to see what they offer for an old best up Lincoln.
Absolutely killed it with this paint job!! I'm so glad Kyle brought the Civic to you and introduced me to your channel, been following along ever since. Your intros always crack me up and this one was no exception hahaha. Can't wait to see this thing finished!
Looks good, man. I dig that you left some dings and small dents. I have seen some faux patina jobs on cars with perfect panel gaps and straight bodywork and it just clashes. Love this build series
Damn that looks perfect and I’m glad u had fun “crafting” it. Master of the craft for sure. Love the explaining of the layers and think the execution was spot on
When I was younger I'd watch Bob Ross on TV and about halfway through an episode I always thought his paintings looked done, but he kept adding to it and made them spectacular. This video gave me the same feeling. Around the 7:00 mark when you did the b-roll shots of just the black and browns, I thought the truck looked great, but by the end of the video, you knocked it out of the park. Awesome job, can't wait to see the box done and the truck all assembled.
Hello This is great work! Thanks for sharing the process. I want to do something similar with my project. I would like to know your opinion about the bumpers and emblems. Do you think these parts should be re-chromed or is it better to leave them as is? New chrome certainly looks cool, but firstly it’s very expensive now and secondly it probably won’t match the aged paint job of the car. Things like headlight bezels and hood emblems made from pot metal have pitting. I was thinking about polishing all the chrome parts as best as possible and then waxing them to protect them from further corrosion. Of course, all deep scratches and pitting will remain visible. I would just like to know your opinion/advice regarding chrome parts, maybe you have some experience or other solutions regarding bumpers and emblems.
Looks good, man. I was perfectly fine with the original patina, when you blend some areas in and clear the whole thing. But I know you are a painter and you had to paint it. 😂 The colors are great and the fake patina turned out very good. Looking forward to the bed how you match it.
Sick job brother, those close ups really show the work you put into it. I also prefer gloss clear. Working with satins and flats suck balls if it doesn’t come out Perfect !!!
One of those old ford windshield visors all rusted out would look awesome, You could probably just fab it up yourself too 🤔 Love this build 🤘 great work man!
LOL @ the Intro yo!......Exciting Stuff!.....lol.....The final Paint Job looks Amazing Adam!....way better than the Ranchero!!! ***SIDE NOTE: Can you recommend a strong Paint Stripper?...I tried AirCraft Paint Stripper that stuff is not strong enough ever since they banned that chemical!...lol
