I've been using those three products for several years. An old tooth brush works great when cleaning the blade. I use it on my router bits as well. The odor of the rust remover is pretty strong as you indicated but it works.

I discovered the Boeshield lubricant and rust remover at the beginning of the summer. I'm in southeast GA and our humidity is unparalleled. I have to reapply it every couple months, or if i see a little rust spot start to pop up I'll use the rust remover to knock it out. I would advise you to go ahead and buy a larger can of the T-9 because it goes fast. Good luck with it and thanks for your enthusiasm and content.....keep it coming!

I clean my table saw blade with "whitespirit" or turpentine, if its gummed up with pine. If it´s pitch from hardwood I´ll throw the blade in bucket of water and let it sit there for couple of hours. Then I use synthetic paint brush with bristles cut short to make it stiffer. Super easy to clean that way.

I will tell you the T9 works awesome! I have a CNC that I run flood coolant on and I have tried everything to keep my vise and tooling plate from rusting and nothing worked until I used the T9. I have been using that stuff called Awesome to clean my blades and it works great, but I let my blades soak for about 30 minutes in a bucket lid of solution and there no scrubbing. All my tools with metal or cast iron surfaces have been getting that T9 for the last couple years.

I use the CMT orange bit and blade cleaner also use Simple green, but the purple one as its less harsh on coatings, put the blade in a 5 gal bucket lid, pour enough Simple green to cover, let it sit for 10-15, scrub with a fine brass brush.

Brother Mat first thing is it's so great to see you strong in your walk with the Lord 🙏 and share it with us. Love your videos. A little tip use a stiff fiber type brush to clean your blades on the top of a bucket lid the results are awesome. Loved your wooden malet build and yes the Lord was at work there. Bostic top coat is a great product but very expensive T-9 is wonderful as well. Best wishes to you and your family from Alaska at grandpa's wood wood shop

Don’t do a lot of pine cutting/routing but still get some pitch on blades/bits. I normally clean them with hot soapy water in the kitchen sink, then hit them with an old tooth brush. Rinse & dry, good as new.

So I just began woodworking with limited tools. Two drills, and a jigsaw. I kindly wanted to ask if maybe you can put together a video on a build just using those power tools? I know it's a challenge and I'm making due with what I have. I'm just curious to see what you might be able to cook up? Excited to see if you're up for the challenge. I've found a lot of informative woodworking channels on here. But by far your channel might be one of the most authentic and inspiring. Keep up the great work and God bless.

I just watched a Stumpy Nubs video on blade cleaning and he used a different cleaner but had a couple more great tips for blade cleaning. First was he used the lid of a 5 gallon bucket to put the blade in and spray it with cleaner and let it soak, was pretty much perfect size. The other was using a nylon stiff brush. I bet if you adopted those two tricks you'd get that last bit of resin just a bit easier.... makes me think I should possibly clean my blade now that i've seen two videos on it in two days, the universe is trying to tell me something ;)

I'm gonna nag to have to try that. I need to clean my blades. I bought some Diablo blades for my table saw and miter saw. Used them once... Then I let my brother come over and use my shop. He had a bunch of green pine. It was wet and gummy. When he left my blade and cross cut sled were covered in green gummy crud. I wanted to beat him. Can't wait to try that blade cleaner. I don't know about the rust remover. Lol. I do have some rust on my table saw from a leak.

Thanks for another fine video! Apparently, there are things in Boeshield that do not allow it to be air shipped which puts a crimp in shipping. Shipping is $8 on Amazon for this 4 oz kit. I like to use affiliate links to support the channel but I would rather invest the $8 towards the larger kit size because of the number of tools I have. I am lucky enough to have Rockler and Woodcraft nearby. So maybe my support will be a T shirt instead. Keep up the great work Matt and best wishes for the whole family!

@jasoncamilleri8322

For Rust Free to smell like that it must contain either phosphoric or hypo phosphoric acid so a vapour mask is highly recommended. Hypo phosphoric acid is a key ingredient in illicit drugs so please be incredibly careful when using it.
@jasoncamilleri8322
@jasoncamilleri8322 3 года назад
Just a quick follow up. I found the Material Safery Data Sheet for Rust Free online. The key ingredient is phosphoric acid. I hope the manufacturer included the MSDS information with the packaging and that you simply overlooked it. If not, please alert your fanbase to the facts so that no one is adversely affected. I know that you mean well and you wouldn't knowingly place anyone in harm's way, hence the reason for this message. I personally am a huge fan and only wish the very best for you.
