My first Ramadan as a revert, took shahada on Friday after Jum’ah. It feels great being a Muslim and I hope to get better at learning the prayers and arabic so i dont have to keep following along with youtube videos. Found time to take my medications, workout while fasting, do all my prayers on time and improve my life as I have been trying to do. Day 1 down, 29 more to go. 🤲🏾

To which denomination do you belong ? Orthodox christians have more than 100 fast days a year, with the Great Len of Easter, the Lent of Christmas, the Dormition fast, all of them with a strict nutrition discipline. Orthodox christians are called "the muslims of Christianity" by some other christians because we have more discipline in our fast, prayers, and daily life in general.

My third Ramadan, I'm inshallah going to do all the days this time, I found a way to take my adhd, antidepressant, and anxiety meds. They are 24 hours in length. I had suhoor with them and prayed Fajr on time! I was so happy! Inshallah, I will be able to maintain. Please make dua that I will find a job, or be blessed with money, to get abayas, a prayer mat, and prayer gown this week.

I am so grateful for you, I grew up Christian, I left the church years ago and kinda lost myself because I haven’t had a spiritual practice. I recent pick up this Quran that was I given by this Muslim brother on the streets of London AGES ago, I’ve started reading it and realised I share more beliefs with the Muslim community than I did with Christianity (no hate I still kinda sit in the middle of both religions). During this time I’ve felt called to participate in Ramadan to kick start my journey to finding god/allah again. I was kinda stressing how I was going to do this because I haven’t got to that part of the Quran yet 😅 so when I saw your video pop it felt like an answered prayer, so thank you and may allah bless you for inspiring all of us ❤

I took a class on Islam this time last year. I am eternally grateful for the experience and for my teacher who was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and practice of Islam. I did not grow up in a religious household whatsoever- we celebrated Christmas because that was just what was expected of us in Canada. There is so so much beauty in Islam. What was most humbling to me was the practice of remembering God and the 99 Names. I really appreciate the reminder. You are so eloquent and articulate and beautiful. I learned from you. I hope you are proud of yourself.

In childhood my ramadans were all about excitement and iftaar and suhoor. In mu teenage ramadan years I would be so tensed about classes and exams, now that I'm finally 19 and adulting, I feel so bad about not making the most out of my past ramadans. But it's never too late . insha'Allah I will give My all to make this ramadan transforming and as healing as possible while I work on my relationship with Allah ❤️

I'm so afraid I won't be able to fast cause I reverted 2 months ago and my mother's room is right next to mine. Imagine if she saw me eating at like 4 am. Or taraweeh...I just know I can't do it. Also I don't understand arabic at all except the prayers and the dhikr... and I 've always got a kind of difficult relationship with food... I am also so excited tho. sis what i do is if i know i cant wake up to eat for suhoor i'll stay up a bit later than usual and eat before going to sleep, inshAllah this ramadan take baby steps and work ur way towards learning how to pray salah, thats the first priority, can also read quran in translation or transliteration on top of that. if u want any tips or further help feel free to let me know and i'A i'll give u my instagram

i’m a little bit late but i just woke up today and decided i really wanted to try ramadan. i’ve been thinking of converting for a while but have been nervous since it seems like such a large undertaking, but i realized you just have to take a step and when you said that, it really assured me. and seeing palestinian people starve makes me realized how blessed i am to even eat. i hope this journey goes well and it improves me.

Hi Bahja, you are truly God sent. I am in my late thirties but you gave me what I always wanted - self development with Islamic perspectives. I must confess I learn from every single video you do and since December when I saw your channel, I have been motivated to be a better Muslimah. I call myself the Pious, Productive, and Peng😅 Muslimah - at least that's who I hope to become! See, these 99 names and affirmations are a whole new vibe! I had never seen them in this light and I am dividing them into 7; 14 per day. I want to draft my affirmations for each day of the week in each set of 14 and I strongly believe I will be better for it because what's better than affirming with Allah's own names and attributes? A fine blend of self development and spirituality. 💯 I see in the comments how people are becoming better because of what you do and I say - Jazakillahu khayran fi dunya wal akhirah.

As a non Muslim and this being my first Ramadan, I'll be mostly using this lunar month to learn more about the history of black Muslims (I'll be reading Malcolm X's Autobiography that's been on my shelf for over a year😭), adjusting my relationship with food and how discipline looks like in my life in general, and diving more into my belief systems.
