You will come to know there are several Feds you can trust in this life: 1. The Federal Reserve 2. Fedora hats (very stylish) 3. Roger Federer Thats it.
it is about knowing the odds of the next shot after u hit yours (how good or how bad). If u hit a good cross court shot, there are high chances u will get a ball cross court.
Now, I'm trying to learn to play tennis, and I sort of can imagine and see how hard it is to play tennis like Federer. Look at all the footwork, movemnet, set-up and ball contact.
@@OReazor doesnt matter what Novak does, he will never be aknowledged as the goat, due to his lack of competition on the era he dominated. He is THE man to beat since 2011, right? Well, he is been playing since 2003. Yes 2000 and fucking 3. He needed almost 20 years to reach top of the iceberg. Roger dominated in 2003 till 2010. With nadal being the king of clay and an ocasional wimbledon title contender as shown in 2008 battle vs Roger. But Rafa was always under rogers shadow, but he had rogers cell phone (slang for "key of victory" vs roger) 2008 2010 where Rafas bests years outside clay. Roger between 2011 and 2015 had back and knee injury problems. But as soon as he took time out in 2016, he came back and DOMINATED 2017 2018, being over 35 yo. Novak is the best, when no-one is around. Dont get me wrong, is more than likely that novak will eventually get more gs than roger, thats almost a fact. But see, for a player of the longevity of Novak, being able to dominate only the years no one is around him, that does not speak well for him. Roger had to beat: Rafa, Prime Roddick (probably the best server of all time with karlovic) Prime davidenko, prime Safin, prime Nalbandian (the only guy to defeat roger at a atp wt finals finals) Prime Ferrer, and i can go on. Novak, he only had to deal with rafa on clay. And when roger was healthy, he always got slaped. Novak is the example of longevity, and self superation, but not the example of domination, unlike roger and rafa, which both of them had eras of clear domination. And dont get me wrong, i love novak, cause i hate rafa, and i love to see novak destroy rafa, but im no retarded to try and cover the sun with a finger.
@@Mago.- Says the weak era champ fan…. Fed is stuck at 20, while Novak and Nadal will have their very own goat debate. Federer will be remembered as the THIRD best player of all time. Stop putting this guy on Novak and Nadal’s level, it’s awkward and embarrassing.
I cry every time i realize his era is gone. Forever. The beaty and aesthetic of his game is unparalleled, and his volleys, anticipation, IQ, dominance, the game has a huge void , shoes nobody will be able to fill. Not alcaraz, texthispops, zverev, nobody. His aestheticlly perfect form and artistry is gone. Damn its sad. But glad i got into tennis back in 2015 to see his comeback. Amazing. Glad we have youtube for highlights of your career federer.
NFL and NBA are declining in viewership so we might get more talented athletes, aka freaks of nature, going into tennis instead of other lucrative sports. That would mean even roger will be surpassed.
@@DK-dr5hy well ofc hes guna be surpassed, nadal and djokovic both passed him recent years. But you mean surpassed in beauty silky footwork, and aesthetics?
Indeed! What can we learn from watching unbelievable tennis? But the gap between what we can do and what we would like to do? Don't we have to start from what we can do, get relax and improve epsilon after epsilon?
you mcenroe going on and on over the year about his racket head acceleration, and you conceptually have an idea, then you see it in this angle, and I'm just like...holy hell.
Immaculate.. the feet how they move, the body balance, buttery smooth serve action, fly open backhand, fiery forehands that leave a trail behind 🎉❤ if u love tennis, then look no beyond.
These courts are truly amazing, their position, their surroundings, just everything and every year we get to watch pros practice there. I would have loved to see federer play live at some point
His shorts look like his 2019 Roland-Garros ones so that’s why I made that assumption but I did realize that he played a little differently (not in a bad way). It’s true that for a slight change in style to be noticeable it has to bring back at least 4 years
It’s kind of sad to know the future, that 2019 was the absolute last time he would be at championship level. And that’s the ugly, beautiful game of tennis- so rewarding and so cruel. Thanks Roger for all of the memories and for your inspiration for me and so many others to play the sport.
Federer is the father of tennis, not only that he introduces many people into the tennis to play and watch...he's not a grinder like Djokovic and Nadal, especially Djokovic.
This is Old Footage, Roger is wearing Nike here, he isn't sponsored by Nike anymore, he has a stake on the swiss shoe brand "On" thats what he wear now
Ohne question. Here he plays backhand with one hand. But when I watched Wimbledon recently they almost always use the two handed backhand. Can someone explain?
