If you ever come back to Laramie, you have to try Sweet Melissa’s it’s the best restaurant in Laramie.. the best vegetarian and I am in Colorado and we don’t have anything as good
Boondocking tip: instead of using a bar of soap in the shower, switch to liquid soap. Using bar soap means hours and hours of shower cleaning. Use liquid soap, clean the shower just a couple of times a year. The difference is amazing. We use Pantene shampoo that we buy at Costco. We do however squeegee the glass doors after every shower. Takes all of about 1 minute. While you are doing it, you drip dry a bit!
Here’s a bit of history. When I went to University of Wyoming, the Territorial Prison served as big barn for the Agricultural College. I had friends who lived and worked in that building , while the went to school. Vedauwoo really is unique. We camped there a lot, while my sons both went to school in Laramie. It means earth born spirit. Thanks for some memories.
This is my first time watching, but definitely not my last because you do an amazing job with information, editing is A++, the food reviews, prices, and the TIMESTAMPING!!! Just wish I had found you last year when we did our first RVing trip. You need your own show, truly, I hope someone realizes how popular RVing is and has become, then picks you 2 up for hosting it. I wish I had the words for you to realize how much better you are than other one's, so I'll use this word, supercalafragilististicexbealladocious!!!
Thank you for taking the time to write this comment, truly! One of our recent videos started getting a lot of views, and with that comes a slew of negative/mean comments from strangers on the internet. But this comment just really made our day! So thank you 🙏🏼❤️
I live in Casper Wyoming and in elementary the fifth grade got to go on a field trip there and the kids would get locked in the jail cell for a group picture.
The old territorial prison in Deer Lodge Montana is a great stop too. There is a pit there that they dropped some of the worse of the worse into for solitary. Wind in Wyoming is. constant, Funny story. One day the wind stopped, and everyone fell over LOL
Your dogs are sweethearts they love you dearly. Boy they love climbeding those huge rocks and do it so well. Take care and be careful for you and doggies. Lord Bless you.🎉.
The Milwaukee is very powerful. I’m surprised the Flexzilla hose didn’t collapse. We use the Milwaukees for draining water heaters and I have another one for injecting small amounts of glycol into heat systems. I bought another just for the RV.
Another great video! I love watching your videos. They are always very informative and inspirational. I hope to be able to travel by RV one day but I don't know if we will ever be able to. We are not very mechanically inclined and it appears to take a lot of work and knowledge. You guys rock! ❤😊
You two are never boring 😅 my husband and I truly enjoy your videos!! And yes, half Block we have to drive back for something that we forget 😮 Very impressed with the prison, It’s very well kept. All the places you ate at yummy!!! We would have loved to visit you guys but we live in Baja 🐳 🐠🌵🌮🍻come visit aguín 😅 Take care ❤❤🐾🐾
Thank you so much!! And yeppp, just a little extra exercise when leaving the house, multiple times LOL. what part of Baja are you in? We do plan on going back one day!! Not this winter, but possibly the winter of 2024/2025. i can't wait to go back there, i love it so much
Loved the Laramie area. Stayed at Vedauwoo which is fantastic. Day tripped to the snowy range abut 30 min west of Laramie, wow what a beautiful place and hardly any people. We will be back👍
We will definitely be back to the area because we didn’t get to go to the Snowy Range and I really wanted to, it looked like it would be beautiful! And it was so nice to be in a less populated place, so peaceful!
Love your videos❤️❤️❤️ I just found you on RU-vid have enjoyed all your adventures!! I have some questions, Are you towing on a short bed or standard? And what time of the year were you Wyoming? Seems so empty! Thanks the entertainment and great videos!! ❤ Ruthie
Safe travels back east. Hope your family is okay back in Florida from Idalia. We had friends in Horseshoe have extensive damage. Floridian to Floridian we know how it goes.
Hey guys, those pumps are not rated for potable water. Has to do with recycled plastic in the pump housing and even in some pumps, a petroleum based pump packing. I wired my spare rv pump into my seven pin, PEX tube from the bladder to the pump, zero g to the wet bay, turn the valves to siphon to tank, and use both the spare pump and the onboard pump to move the water. Takes 15mins or less to empty a 60 gallon bladder.
Dang, I live here don't tell everyone about this little gem of beautiful town 😊. We want to stay as less populated state. Safe journeys where ever it takes you. Loved that you guys had fun time in Laramie.
lol it really was such a gem, and I can understand that! It felt very relaxed while we were there because it wasn't so crowded everywhere. Thank you so much!
As long as they don't do a show like "Yellowstone," you should be fine. We went through Wyoming and loved visiting, camping and touring there, but living there would be a major cultural shock to most who have grown up in the hustle and bustle, but as for visiting, it's beautiful!! Family in Montana does not like all the people moving or buying up all the properties, but it's like that in most places. Hopefully, Wyoming stays as is because it's beautiful to visit!! We teach our grandkids to leave the areas we stay at to leave it better than we found it, but Wyoming was one place that we didn't haul out more than we brought, so that's awesome that people are respecting the beauty!!!
I think Wyoming is completely underrated, we really enjoyed our trip through there in 2016, and we were near the end of our epic trip across Canada and back through the States. We had tent camped most of the way so by Wyoming we hit more motels than campgrounds.
If y’all make it to south east Idaho, we are Camp Host at Sand Hills RV Resort.. We are located right on the St. Anthony Sand Hills.. We love your channel and would be excited to meet y’all.. Travel Safe.. ! Mark & Bev
@@wildrvlife We love Idaho.. It’s been our home state for 15 years.. We went full time in our Tiffin Allegro Bus in June of 2022.. This is our 1st Camp Hosting, however, they have asked us to come back next year for the full season (May - Oct).. We’re gonna be in Prescott Valley Arizona for the Winter..
@@rvtravelstayplay8154 I agree with you on Idaho and actually this whole part of the US as I am in Island Park Idaho now until the end of this month then I will start heading south and I will spend a month in Chino Valley Arizona before I go down to Quartzsite in the middle of November.
You need to turn off the converter if you want the batteries to be charged faster. One personal put a converter from the batteries on each leg for the 50 amp. Next time you need to upgrade the batteries, try and get a 320 amp one.
Well my youngsters my question is how do you keep the inside of the water bladder sanitized? As for dumping you water into the Rv I have a little idea. Back your truck up to the fresh water inlet and use a short hose and it should drain quickly. From the bed of the truck right into the Rv.
We’re just using the same method they recommended for the fresh water tanks on RVs and using a bit of bleach inside and then flushing it with water…..hopefully that works 😆
Instead of pumping water through the nautilus system I built an adapter to mount to the 1-1/2” drain valve of the fresh water tank. There is so much restriction with all the plumbing and valves in the nautilus system it cuts down the flow. I bet if you did the same you would be able to get 4-5 gpm with your pump filling your tank.
Y’all are using the water bladder wrong. Both ends of the water bladder need to be open to allow water to flow faster with air entering the bladder. The hose collapses because it’s sucking without any air flow. Same for when you’re filling the bladder, one end needs to be open and the other obviously has the hose with water going in. To equalize pressure. Hope I explained that well. 😂
Always enjoy your videos, youth, energy and bravery. We just crossed and spent some time in Wyoming last week, ran into some rain as well. When filling your water tank, careful to not input water faster than the air can vent out. You don’t want to over pressure and balloon your tank. Safe travels.
Just asking, is that pump WATER Portable safe to drink? My Milwaukee water pump has grease around the shaft. That is petroleum-based. Not to drink. Hehehe you guys are FUN TO WATCH. You remind me of myself 30 years ago. LOL
Not totally sure if it’s rated as potable water safe or not 😅 granted, we both grew up in the country drinking out of garden hoses that were just laying around in the yard so our tolerance for a little bit of “something” in our water is probably higher than most 🤣
All the food was seriously so good, and we’re kind of picky because we like eating out and aren’t so easily impressed 😆 And the dogs LOVED that spot. Leeland thinks he’s a gymnast or something and just hops from rock to rock with no care in the world! Lol
Loved this video...we have two friends who are currently working there as volunteers...in fact you can very briefly see one of them walking in the broom factory with a broom and a dust pan. They have had an absolute blast working there this summer. The prison did a Butch Cassidy Day event that they said was very entertaining and was so much fun to do with re-enactments of how it might have been when Butch was interred there. And the have toured the area, taking hikes and going to museums.
We actually met your friends then!! How funny, what a small world! We talked to the gentleman for a while in the broom factory about RVing and he was telling us about his time work camping there.
@@wildrvlife Terry is a hoot. We started workamping with them about 8 years ago right outside Dallas when he trained my hubby to work outside and in maintenance and his wife trained me to work in the office. We have been friends ever since. So glad you liked Laramie... it's on our bucket list
Nice transfer pump! I have the Milwaukee M18 inflator. Same small size and works better then expected. Enjoyed the area you showed us. We are considering a visit. Good Job!! Take care.
Hey guy's... We had been to Laramie but unfortunately we were working and did not have the chance to check out the places you did.... We are planning on checking it out next summer... This was a very good video to help us with that... We like that flow meter ...need to find me one.. We leave the house Multiple times before we get to the end of the driveway.... Thanks for the video... As always we enjoyed it.... Stay safe....J&A
I hope you'll get to do some more exploring the next time you visit, we really enjoyed the area! and YEP, always have to turn around for something LOL 🤣
glad you enjoyed it! We found the prison tour very interesting but weren't sure if it would be so interesting for everyone not there in person... very cool to see though!
Hey here is an idea for 17:58 the water pumping from the bladder to the rv Lower the pump which increases the head on the pump that will increase the flow rate.
I love Laramie. Went to wyotech there in 2005. Pretty cool place. We just did a year on the road so if you need any recommendations out east to stay out that way let me know. We only stayed in RV parks though.
we will be heading back to the east coast very soon! mostly visiting family up and down the coast, but going to do some exploring too. If you've got any favorite parks in Georgia, let us know! we'll be traveling around there a bit.
Please tell me what type of phone you used to capture this video. Really good quality! Thanks. Love your channel. Its the highlight of of the first of my week.
@@wildrvlife Absolutely amazing what you guys do! Watching new episode now actually. Lol. What editing software do you guys use? Your eye for detail is very unique.
@@nextministries8393 we use Davinci Resolve and Craig does all the editing, he does a really great job with it! We also use wireless DJI mics that connect with the iPhone for better sound quality
We would love the extra space but we do definitely make use of that slider hitch with all the boondocking places we go and tight turns we end up on. (And yeah the mega cabs only come in short beds so you end up needing a slider hitch)
Does Brinkley approve of gooseneck hitches ? I know with some manufacturers they do not approve them. With the direct downward stress not being able to be distributed across a regular flat surface of a regular hitch, it does take its toll.
How are you liking the storage. Do you feel it’s enough? Or do you wish you had more? We are waiting for the 3610 before we decide on a change from a toy hauler. My vote would have been the burger too. Looked amazing!! 😋
we feel like it's enough! we did do a thorough cleaning of our basement in the old RV before moving everything over. the extra little storage area in the back is nice too, which we didn't have in the last rig
I sure Enjoy watching your channel. I have a random question for ya. Lol. What kinda truck cover lid to you have?? And would you buy it again? I'm looking for a truck cover for my GMC. And yours rolls up and out of the way. So would appreciate your input. Thanks
The truck bed cover is by a brand called retrax. They are the best one for this style of bed cover, which also makes them kind of pricey. I went with an off brand one before it, and it broke in the first 6 months. We were in Wyoming for about two weeks in mid-August. The temps were pretty good, with a couple of days being cold due to rain and overcast, where we were.
