I’m on avet for 10 years now. From heavy sports fishing to now commercial fishing. From bluefin all the way down to bait fish. Just solid reels. The problem with reel review videos like this is people barely use them and gives opinion. Use them all for couple seasons. Fish minimally couple hundred trips before get to the conclusion. That will really help the viewers to decide.
OJ absolutely takes the cake among those three. However, in my opinion, The OJ 2000 should not be compared to the Saltiga 10 or the Avet. OJ is primarily used for jigging, fast jigging and slow pitch jigging. The equivalate should be Saltiga 35 JH. Price Range is about the similar too. Please do a video on those two reels!
I cast live sardines with my sxj , not far but far enough away from the boat to get bit. I've also thrown 1oz swim baits with it for sea bass. It's not really meant for that but my other setup was birds nested.
I'm team Shimano and my wife is a Dawia girl lol. I have Stellas etc but I use the Shimano Ocea jigger f custom 2001NRHG for jigging and love it. My wife just upgraded me to the Studio ocean mark blue Heaven OGM BHL50VII hi S2T-BG 👀. I haven't fished with it yet, but I can't wait!
love my Avets reels I do own a sxj Raptor never an issue with it , on the other side Shimano is always upgrading their line of reel and once they are discontinue good luck finding parts and the guts have alot of plastic pieces, Daiwa is good , but I can't see much difference in the performance between all 3 reels
I think how you plan to fish might make a difference which reel you prefer. I am mostly a surf caster. I do not have the budget to buy all 3 and try them. About 11 years ago I bought an Avet (magnetic cast option), because I thought it would do everything. I really like the reel, and it works well for everything I have used it for. Very generally, I feel like Shimano brand is considered to be superior to Daiwa, but I still think it comes down to specific reels for specific applications. There is no "best for everything" reel.
I Never, cast my jigging reels. I use my jigging reels for jigging and have two 7'6" spinning rods with 5000 BGMQ's for casting should a school show up. For that reason, the price difference and most importantly, Avet being made in the United States of America it's the correct choice.
In my opinion it would go avet diawa shamano and when it comes to the casting part you were talking about I think that's a you issue because I've never once had that problem with my avet's
