it's really cool hearing you teach your son about the game, adds a touch of personal humanity that is really precious. I take my hat off to that science module of yours, it's thrifty!
@Nathan Thanks for including the conversation with your son and the translation. Mine are older now but children are so wonderful at that age of asking questions about everything!
And who gave you permission to melt my hearth with your son, mr. Nathan? Nah, joking, as few as his "appearences" in your series are, I love every one of them. Great work with the video as usual.
When you learned german for 6 years and still can't understand the conversation of a kid 😅 very cool episode as alway, I was wondering for a while where you where from.
@@teret2650 :) thats because of the harsh dialect, it took my wife (native german) 2 years living here until she got the hang of it, some dialects (bernese or valisian) are still a struggle, and sometimes even for me, native swiss :O
I am from Germany (Born in Germany) and had still some struggle to understand it. It is indeed Swiss German. Could also be Austria Dialect. But in any way was it so adorable how the kid asked "what is regret"🥺 And Sunscreen to protect from lava xD
Ha love it when your son gets in on the action. Still making my day on my lunch hour! Makes me wanna play the game instead of going back to work. Thanks again you rock!
I would rather continue to see high quality content instead of everyday releases. So if you need your time to do things right, you should! keep up the good job. as alway see you next episode :D
I know i'm late to the party, but I just want to say that moment when your son was asking what you were doing and you were explaining stuff to him was so adorable!! I hope there are more moments like that to look forward to in the future :D
I’ve watched this series from the beginning, the last episode you convinced me to like the video. Then you asked again, but this time I subscribed. These videos have helped me out so much, if I’m ever planning on changing planets, I’ll give you a call
Ah that was so adorable. T - T I feel like this game could be explained with emotion alone. Steam near volcanos is regret. Water near living area is happiness. Dupes trapping themselves when building is exasperation.
The combination of non-English language and Dad talking with Child melted my heart like copper dunked in lava. That was incredibly sweet. Thank you for sharing those moments with us.
Loving this base, and that interaction with your son was adorable 🥰 Struggling with geothermal on my own map so this os perfect! I'm 800 cycles in, never got that far 🤞😁🤞
cuteness overload from hearing you interact with your son (and being able to understand most of it since Schwitzerdütsch (sp?) ist so close to German). omg, that was so adorable. Everything melts. Even you. That's why you need sunscreen. XD
There is a tech that allows you to efficiently store rad bolts. Using this storage, the radbolt generator doesn't have to be constantly on and consuming power. There is also an automation output port on the material study terminal which outputs a signal when the terminal is full. So imo there is a lot of more advanced automation you could add to make the radiation science station even more ultimate. But still a great episode!
I'd suggest getting the faster drywall crafting mod, it works for drywall and temp plates, highly recommend if you don't want to spend half an hour just to place some coloured backgrounds.
I'm new to the channel, and congratulations on this series! Really informative and these small episodes work very well! Gotta say I loved to listen to your son interactions in the video. Really lovely stuff! Keep on with the good work!
Beautiful to watch you build your ideas, I am about to give it a go with the magma, which I have never touched before not knowing the trick with the airflow tiles! Great science module but it is missing one crucial component, water for the supercomputer. Two extra tiles for a water pitcher next to it would have done the job perfectly.
Honestly, this is what I would call the ultimate minimalist base. If that's what you're going for, go nuts, but i was expecting room for decor items and massage rooms etc. Require way more work though of course ;)
I would recommend you use the larger living module on the research rocket. With the addition of the planetarium and data banks since your 2.0 play through the research rocket makes the data banks instead of doing the research. I send a dupe up with as much food as they can eat before it spoils(or rush sleet wheat for berry sludge), want moral boosting food to help with stress, and have them make as many data banks as possible. Then they come down and research a couple sciences and go back up for a few cycles to make more data banks(less micromanaging). It's quiet possible to get a bathroom(water pipes are the reservoir), barracks and mess hall room in the little rocket and have a little room for a battery as you can only fit 2 solar panels and with the station, fridge, and O2 distributor power can be an issue.
So guet. Jetzt weissi ou wieso ich dis änglisch verstoh :) Danke für die Serie. Be zwar erscht bi dere Folg und goht no es ziitli, aber lerne vill über das Spiel. Gruess us em AG.
The one change I would make is a way to get water to your super-computer so a dup doesn't have to bring it from your main base. I wonder what the decor value is for that research station.
Hello Nathan ! I just wanted to say perfect video has always ! Your kid seem so sweet and nice ! I also wanted to say that you deserve way more than 6k active viewers... your also the one that really got me into oni ! Anyway good day Nathan and support from France !
Personally, I prefer using lead-suits and docks instead of decon-showers in low-rad research rooms. Any rads accumulated when standing there would be removed at the next trip to the loo, and even less accumulated if every dupe assigned to the rad-room eats seafood. For higher rads, though, I put a decon-shower in, as an addition to the above. I do like the idea of placing all research in the same spot, with doors, this way it can all be access-regulated aswell as setting the researchers on a rad-reducing diet (this is how I see the future plans for the room, atleast 😁)
ALSO! bunker door! there is mod for more sizes. it works despite comments saying that it is out of date :D ! it adds extra sizes for bunker doors 1x2 for 250 steel 1x3 for 375 steel 1x5 for 625 steel the default is 14x for 500, so that is 125 steel per tile. so i think it following that logic makes it to not be cheaty :) More Bunker Doors by Jarodamus
Hi Nathan!!! I don't know if this is a recent update or not, but if you have HAZMAT Digging, you CAN dig neutronium. Makes me wonder about the edges of the map...........................
welp, that infinite liquid storage/steam vent cooling solution is suffering with the addition of the steam turbine cooling. eating a ton of power too running the circulation pumps for almost no water output to speak of so its a problem thats feeding itself. too late to turn back now lol. gonna see it through to the eventual end, one way or another :) on the plus side ill NEVER run out of tepid water to refine into potable water. too bad its not from the vent directly. maybe 50% output at the current temps
