Finally a game that isn't too fucking pussy to have very serious, dark, and mature themes. I'm so sick of games that claim to be realistic and serious but the theme is always good vs evil there hasn't been a grey game in quite a while (Edit) when I mean the theme good vs evil we all know that the police men are the good guys but maybe if we know more about the game it's hard to justify which side is morally good or evil. A prefect example of what I'm talking about is Spec ops The Line
yea swat4 was great had so much fun playing it with friends and still do sometimes when we are bored of newer games such as pubg , cod ww2 , battlefield etc its still fun to just chill and play this game im still hoping for a swat5 and i hope this will be the swat5 we never got
Have not played the SWAT games, but I do hope for Read or Not takes a look at some controversial topics/scenarios: First responders stopping the threat of school shooters (seeing a classroom in the trailer indicates it) Human Trafficking (obvious in the trailer) These ideas could really make this game unique and really have a lot of shock value like MW2 had with "No Russian" mission.
FrawLawk hopefully if they cover these controversial topics, they don't make it like that MW2 mission. Rather, I'm hoping for something like the nuke scene in CoD4, so that there's actual meaning behind it, instead of just being a hollow plot device to advance the story. I hope they do cover some of it though, we need more games in this genre with that sort of insight and meaning.
I loved the good oldschool days of SWAT 3 / SWAT 4, and was always bummed that we'd never see a proper successor to these masterpieces... This game might be genuinely the first game in YEARS that I am excited about.

Agent Bill Wilson r6 siege doesnt try to be realistic , u literally jam windows and. walls with a gadget its a simulation of different ops facing each other , thats how mp works anyways
Be careful, you have to define "REALISM" (i.e., does the game have realistic punch in regard to bullet projectiles; how the enemy falls when hit with bullets are fired; the sound of the gun; and how will the muzzle flashes look) I will give this game a chance DEPENDING on how the gameplay (PC) looks. But it does look interesting.
Siege is a great game imo, but the first trailer for it was incredibly deceiving. It's totally possible this game will be just hype and actually be nothing like this trailer looks like it will be and overhyping things does have a tendency to ruin a game's launch, but it's a neat trailer and it's ok to be a little excited about it.
Jakob With a K But why would an indie group lie to people. Indie developer's first games are what help them in later times to get better development kits like how they use Unreal engine. They could team up with DICE and be able to us the Frostbite engine which would be amazing for destruction in a small area.
S W A T all the way! As i first heard of RS6 i had hopes it would bring back some SWAT feels.... well, it obviously didnt. Trying not to get too hyped until I get to see something with a little more substance. Also heard the dev team is only like 3 or 4 persons? Curse or blessing...? After all I would have been fine with a good SWAT 4 Remaster, but if they can deliver....My body is ready for the anal staircase!
S.W.A.T 4 was a pretty amazing game, I still have the demo disc somewhere as well. Where as rainbow 6 was leaning away from tactics into the "generic shooter" phase, I remember S.W.A.T was more about planing and tactics going back to the original RB6. I too remember the original RB6, I had it on the N64 lol
Man, not enough people know about SOCOM, it had a similar play style and was super fun back in the day on the PS2. I remember just playing hours of it trying random approaches with my squad and beating missions with like 12 rounds left in the gun.

Why tag the game as R6S when Swat 5's spiritual successor (this game) is so fucking massively different from this game? And I swear to Jebus dont say this is a rip off at all to Siege because it aint ya sillies. R6S is just "oh kill the baddies, who cares about reducing deaths and protecting the people who are trapped in buildings such as schools where a school shootings may occur." This game is so much different...
I still play SWAT 4. Even though I own a $2k gaming desktop. Love how the team mechanics are, and how you can arrest etc. Hyped for this game. Hopefully it is one of the few games that actually does deliver
I used to play SWAT 3 on my rig time to time - replaying all the fun missions in different ways and making my own mission in the multiplayer LAN option - Man I miss my childhood!
I always wanted a SWAT 3/4 sequel because those as well as rainbow six (the original) and The Sum of All Fears, were my favorite games when I was young
I think making a comparison between R6 Siege is not a great way to look at this, actually the only rainbow six it comes close to is raven shield, however in reality, it appears on a mechanical level and style level this is more of a spiritual successor to SWAT. I understand why you use R6 because a lot of younger players wont have anything to draw from to see the inspiration, however it is SO loosely connected to R6 as we known it today its not worth mentioning as it gives a sense of a game it clearly wont be like. It would be like comparing BF4 to arma 3. Personally it would have been between to leave R6 out of this video all together. However nice insight into your thoughts on it.
Croz Raven dude i will never forget that one mission in rslv2 where you gotta climb down the hotel? i think? and you bash into the rooms with your squad and use night vision to progess through the place, i dont remember the whole level cus its been awhile but damn. I miss that game haha or was that level on the first game? lol

For me personally, I think satisfaction is better than pure fun for me. I absolutely love the feeling when you make a super-complex plan and it goes perfectly. I can already tell I'll absolutely love this.
I believe it.. if you take how good INSURGENCY is (the real successor of Americas Army before it turn to shit), on doing similar real simulation within it's code limitations, then imagine this if these guys pulled it off?. I still play INSURGENCY, still better then most tactical FPS in 2017, so I can see this having a big community if done right.
This is basically Escape from Tarkov meets SWAT... could be interesting! I play a lot of Escape from Tarkov, and while it is probably the most realistic game I've ever played, I have a lot of fun with it.
Just the realism aspect. Variable movement controls and the promise of accurate ballistics and weapon detail. Not to mention the level of animation detail involved is much like EFT.

Kevin Cups they could make it a lot more in depth if it was only on pc (which I'm pretty sure it is) but you shouldn't wish for it to not come to consoles all gamers should be able to play games
I don't think so, lots of people say there are only 3 people working on it. Creating it for multiple platforms would take too much resources. I think it comes out for PC first and when it's succesful maybe for consoles, too.

If it comes out for console the whole engine would need to be different, I think this game my take too much to run on a console so I kinda hope that they just cut the console limitations and just release to PC.
Well I mean project Scorpio is coming out soon, so it could possibly run it. I will say that many more pc games are coming to both consoles, especially Xbox one. Its not really if the consoles can't hold the power to play these games, but if they want to port it over to consoles.
