How about the surface rust that will occur when there's water on the blasted surface?

Um..just because it’s wet doesn’t mean it’s going to rust. Obviously you treat the metal before you paint or powder coat.

I have a setup like this. I use “holdblast” when I blast steel parts or vehicles. It gives me 5-7 days to prime metal. Here in Hawaii flash rust happens almost instantaneous without it

what abrasive media do you use in the slurry to strip chrome

will this remove chrome off aluminum without damage to the aluminum?

Yes it will remove chrome, it will leave a small profile on the metal that will be great for paint or powder coat adhesion

I want powder coat all chrome pieces on my Harley. But I was told media blasting causes orange peel effect on aluminium parts Harley chromed. And thoughts?
