Watched this a number of times and it looks quite simple, but replacing the cartridge when the valve is on the wall is a different order of difficulty. George, it's easy doing it on a workbench, but not so easy when its on a wall over a bath. So tricky to get it inserted and still stuggling to get it working after days of trying. I must be jamming the piston somehow. Now removing the whole unit from the wall to do on the workbench to see if that'll work!
That strap undo thing is called a Baby Boa strap wrench. Only a few pounds and did the job brilliantly. Thanks Doc ALSO : Check the elbow inlet strainers! Tiny wire mesh filters are in the elbows of my shower valve. One was clogged - nothing to do with the valve at all. AND if at all possible think of how you're going to get at your valve and pipes when it needs servicing! DON'T go for fully concealed!
Hi there, could you please tell me the difference between a 1/2" Dual Control Valve and a 3/4" Dual Control Valve? and how do I know which one do I have?
I have 2 of these shower valves. Both have temperature control problems. I have fitted one new valve from yourselves but still have the problem. I have notice that the hot feet is on the right on both showers. The front housing has the 2 screws at the top, with the one at the bottom which looks like it has been fitted the wrong way. Could this be the problem?
