Hi Shower Doc ive a Mira sport max with the Airboost tech. The airboost seems to of stopped or is very weak and the temprature is up and down depending on what setting its on. Ive been through your excellent videos but still the same. Help.
Hi just watched your video.. my mixer shower is leaking at the bottom of the unit through the temperature control tap would that be a valve too? .. my trouble is I don't know what type of shower it is so don't know where to get a valve 😢 are they one size for most or does it have to be the make? Thank you muchly 😊😊
Is there a way to fix the slider or it can ONLY be replaced ..? My slider rod fixture is straighforward. I was hoping to get some idea about how the slider can be fixed. My slider wont stay in place and the lefthand side tightening screw head doesnt hold the slider. The slider slides down to the bottom bringing the shower head down.
Q, When you purchase a 903.33 cartridge from your website for £184.60, does it come with the trim & knob pack as part of the deal? + mira quad key as part of the pack?
Hi,my mira shower sport max 10.8 go from scalding hot to freezing cold on its own, tested thermal switch and it does have continuity, can it still be faulty?i have ordered one today from your website anyway, its probably 2-3 years old and sometimes i will 20 minutes under shower just waiting for the cooler or warmer water😤🤦♂️, thanks
Hi, the latching switch (416.48) for my shower is now discontinued and marked as out of stock...does that mean I need to scrap my 4 year old shower? (Mira Azora)
30 years after installation, the seals have gone. A quick purchase on the Internet and a visit to this fantastic video and my old 88 is as good as new! Thank you Sir!!
Oh dear. Just tried this with my faulty Triton Cara and when I removed the coil as shown in the vid, water poured out of the shower and all over the bathroom floor. I'd obviously not quite turned the water off properly. Unfortunately, the new coil now won't fix back onto the valve and so I can't turn the house water back on. Any tips for isolating the shower's water supply, so we can turn the water back on at the mains to wash in sinks, drink water and go to the loo?!! Has been a total disaster :(
Hi. I have an aqua Lisa Doing all you have shown (thank you) unfortunately I have 1 of the cartridge screws out but the other 3 are extremely rust bound. Is there anything left to do before I have to replace the shower. ? Many thanks in advance Kind Regards Lee
Thanks for this superb video. It always adds a degree of professionalism if you show competence witha multimeter and thanks to you, I was able to do so. I have replaced a few of these before and it never occurred to me to just loosen the earth pole screw, instead of removing it completely and carefully leaving the remaining two screws in situ, in the wire connectors. I managed to cannabilise an old TCO from another Mira shower. The job was done for a mate and he had just bought a like-for-like shower for a staggering £320!! He was made up when the repair saved him just under £300, as he was set to take a modest holiday with his family and money would have been tight if the complete unit had been changed. I have purchaed Shower Doctor products on more than a few occassions and in gratitude, will order another 416.41 ASAP.
Thanks, I used this video to determine that it was the filters either side of the inlets that were clogged up. After cleaning them, it's working better than ever! I also used the other video by shower doctor to calibrate the temperature! Thanks Shower Doctor!
I managed to replace the shower cartridge three years ago and the same problem has happened again. I did purchase another cartridge but for some reason I’m getting no hot water. I purchased the entire replacement system like you have in your video but for some reason even the handle turns the opposite way when I turn the water on and I don’t get any pressure until I turn small until I get cold water flows, any idea why this is happening?
I have a Mira Sport shower and today when it was powering down, I heard a hissing sound and when i turned the shower back on its only pushing out cold water.
I am finding that after removing and cleaning my cartridge (soaking in white vinegar to remove limescale) that it will not push in quite far enough in order to refit the grub screw. The hole in the cartridge does not quite align with that in the housing. Hammering it seems to be the only option but surely there must be a better way?
Go to your house stop-tap, usually under the downstairs kitchen sink, and shut it off from there. Some water will inevitably run out at first when you release the pipe unions on the mixer. Do the repair, then turn on again.
