Depending on how fast you want it to fall in the water column, or how deep you want it to run. The deeper you want to go , you will need to go heavier. Personally I like a 1/32 oz jig head it drops about 1 foot a second then whe you get to the depth you want a slow retrieve will keep it at that depth hope this helps and thanks for watching
