Can you imagine being able to save someone's LIFE? All his training and hard work was worth it just for this. If this was the only good thing he did in his life, it's a life well lived, but I have a hunch he's helped people his whole life!
He listened to his intuition and it led him to her. He called it a "spark" inside him but that was his sixth sense, or his minds eye. He literally knew he would find her. It's a shame that most people don't listen to their "inner buddy'. I'm glad he did!
I agree- I think we have all more or less given up listening to our inner voice. I’m pretty sure my sixth sense saved my life ion one occasion, and as much as I felt foolish at the time I’m so thankful that something told me to go with my intuition.
@@Truth1561 Or many times! 😊 It is all the time active and saves us from small and big troubles 😊 It is only when something big and devastating was going to happen and we hesitated first to follow our intuition/6th sense that we notice it. But it is always there! I have had MANY situations where my 6th sense have been warning me. So so many. Now, I think that I have learned my lesson and I follow it ALWAYS. All the best 💕💖💕
@@Ivyrose4 The people who are that extraordinarily talented not only worked incredibly hard for it, but also have the genetics for such activity. A DNA test confirmed my genetics are more aligned with strength/power movements and years of grueling cardio training to no avail has proved it to me lol
@Armando Tejeda Genetics would fall under talent. I was making a point of it. Let's not forget though that talent is only half. The talent allows you to push yourself further than anyone but you still have to put the work in.
I did lots of SAR growing up. Running around is usually not a good idea. You miss signs you might otherwise see and sounds you might otherwise hear. Also you heighten the risk of turning an ankle a lot. No bueno
@@kumstane3845 - People who routinely do ultras do not have these concerns. If you love running, this is nothing. The thing is, though, being able to cover a large area on foot in a quick amount of time. If you're trained and know the area, you may very well NOT miss any signs or sounds. It's about training and covering a large area in a short time. Plus, if you working in a team effort, there's even less a chance that everyone on the team will miss these signs and sounds you mention.
I think that this kind of team would be absolutely amazing!!! Imagine this ultra marathon runners teaming up to save human lives instead of competing against each other (not that I believe them not being friendly to each other). Their nearly super human abilities in full show. Amazing!!!
that intuition gut feeling is actually God Holy Spirit talking to you, whether it urges you onward or it warns you to stop; stay away or run away. PAY ATTENTION to it!!
@@Lauren-vd4qe IT is true. I learned the hard way. by not listening to it. over adn over again. you know trust issues and all that. You have to able to trust your it and your instincts.
God bless Jeremy Humphrey for listening to his instinctual abilities and spiritual discernment to save the missing woman. His selfless act of compassion and bravery is EPIC! He's an incredible HERO!
Jeffery, thank you for listening to God's call on you to go. Many would not have listened. May God continue to bless and lead you where you are needed!
Thank you for caring about another person and using your skills and training to rescue someone plus save her life in the process!! This is a good reminder for those of us that like to hike by ourselves to ALWAYS tell someone where we are going, the route, return time and to bring an emergency beacon/ GPS locator!! A whistle also helps!!!charged phone, etc.
See MIssing Persons 411 & you will hear how often this actually does happen. When someone gets lost on a trail, or confused (by many mysterious means) they cannot find their way back to their car then keep going in circles so stop, take shelter and hope someone will find them. Then if they don’t get found & have no food they panic, get more disoriented & now are exposed to the elements, weather, wildlife & low temperatures. Don’t have to have an injury to be lost & sometimes never found until its too late. You’re spot on PInk Rose about an emerg beacon & GPS & all other recommendations.
there are a lot of positive things happening every day, its just not 'entertaining' enough for the news stations to report on it. That's why I am glad for the internet and video sharing sights where you can search for positive things and not be restricted to only watching your local news station. I live near New York City, so that is why I stopped watching NY TV news, it was just too depressing.
Great work, bro. You are a class act and a hero to boot. Thank you for waking up that day with the burning desire to do something you are a master at. Well done, bud.
This guy gave me some hope in humanity, extremely extremely rare to find people to go this far out of there way to help someone. We need more people like him.
i think alot of people like "getting lost then miraculously found" so they can get conveiniently found and then they'll get 15 mins of fame. OMG dont go hiking in unfamiliae areas!
@@Defender78 I think maybe that happened recently with that one lady but generally, you'd be surprised at how panicked you can get within just a few minutes when you turn around and realize you don't know which direction you came from it literally only takes a few minutes of not concentrating to get lost
@@blondie2654 Soooo point on, I've been lost for a few hours before in thick FOREST. Guess I was lucky also Always travel DOWN NOT UP, Find a stream and follow it down off MOUNTAIN
I’ve known Jeremy for a number of years, he knows the woods here in McCall. I was on that search with the local SAR unit and talked the helicopter in when they lost radio contact with another radio operator who was on that side of the ridge. Jeremy did a good job that day.
The Holy Spirit nudged him to get out of bed. He has been preparing for a time like this. We are All put on this earth for a purpose. This was his. GOD BLESS YOU man for Obeying the Voice of GOD. You Rock BRO.
Right time, right place. Plus his “feeling” that he had to go help. That’s the universe speaking….and when it does, you have to listen. Thank goodness he did.
Heros! So glad he had the knowledge and skill set, happy his wife had trust in his skills to ask him to look. I've had this "feeling" before. I followed it, I found a missing, elderly dachshund dog in the desert night. Weirdest feeling in the world, but so glad I followed my gut instinct.
This man personifies the term, hero. He actually saved someone's life. In an era where the media likes to throw around the term, "hero" to describe athletes who make anti-American political statements (when the cameras are rolling, of course), this man selflessly risked his life to save someone else. Well done sir.
He even has several stories where someone was called to find the person- just like in this case. I’d like to hear more about HOW she got lost and hear her recounting of the events. I wonder if she fits the criteria for a 411 case.
Amazing that he was able to find and help her. I’d love to know more from her perspective! Sounds like she wasn’t far from her car? What happened? Does she remember getting lost?
Yes i would Ike to know more about her story too. If anyone has any more details on her story please share. And God bless this man for his selfless acts. ❤️
Perhaps she got very lost and thought that it is best for her if ahe just waits for a rescue in an one spot. Often that is given as an advice for lost people. But if nobody is looking for you immediately in the right place...You stay there days and days...
I would have tried to be out as far in the open, as high on a rock, as possible. But I've never hiked there. Too many stories about lost hikers. Wear RED or ORANGE or YELLOW.
Now there’s a reason for an athlete to be trained and honored by society. This athlete made the world better, not just for himself! Breaking records does little but entertain and maybe inspire some to get off of the couch and live more healthy. Celebrate his work today for he worked to help another with his talents and skills!!!
Wish someone like this could find Tatum in the Bear Tooths MT...But so happy to near this Hero/ Chosen One was called upon to rescue this gal in Idaho! Well Done!!!👍🙏😇👼🌹🤗💖🙋
Fantastic! This what The words heroism and caring exemplify to me. You went above and beyond my friend. Thanks. Sounds like you and your wife have picked up another new best friend.
He literally saved her life. So cool. I’m sure he left his wife many times and felt selfish going on those runs, but this is when it was paid off and was meant to be.
Love these stories of people with skills using them voluntarily to help others...like Adventures with Purpose scuba divers finding missing persons, all the magnet fishers clearing our rivers and streams of debri, etc.
Talk about listening to one’s Spirit Guide! Good for him for not ignoring that tap on the head to go AND for his abilities to be able to help! Blessings
I worked with Arthur Webb, multiple Badwater competitor. He was the kind of guy who would do this. Ppl from my work would take vacation to drive his support vehicle, he raised money for a charity when he did it. Amazing commitment.
You're one of the best dude I wish I could say I could do a 40 mile hike that young lady is very lucky you were able to do so because you found her saving her life I don't know who she is but I'm utterly grateful that you did find her You're simply one of the best. I'm so glad your wife motivated you to go find her just simply the best
How come none of you commentors don't question the woman hiker's behavior, it looks like she was trying not to be found, it was like she was hiding. "Laura" was found in a low, depression in the surrounding topography that was hard to see. This is not the first time that a woman has done this recently, and search & rescue work hard to find these women, who turn out to be hiding.
