We've all run out of space at times for our wargaming minis, so this time I decided to try shrinking them down to 15mm to see how they turned out.

Having the flexibility to print at smaller and smaller scales (including terrain, buildings, etc.) has been driving me closer and closer to investing in a printer. I like the idea of fitting a complex sprawling landscape into a smaller space (in my cluttered home).

Yeah it's great being able to print these things off at different sizes. I really like the idea of throwing together a couple of huge armies and loads of terrain.

I have been printing 40k and Warhammer Fantasy armies at 15mm scale, it's great. When it comes to scenery and gameboards you just half the size of everything. When playing the game, just measure distances using centimetres instead of inches and that is more or less the only thing you have to change (besides blast and flame templates, which you also print at half size). Although, when getting into 15mm scale Warhammer, one has to also remember to print a bunch of extra armies to give away to friends. Giving away armies is the only way you are going to be able to have people to play against, because nearly everyone only has armies in regular 32mm scale.

Some great tips there! Luckily a few of my friends are really excited by the idea of having these types of armies, so thats good. A really good point thought that it is definitely going to be harder to find people to game with.

After playing Starship Trooper: Terran Command, I am going to be printing it in 15mm. The minis I will be using, will be Papsikels Dropship Troopers. Also considering Terminator, Aliens and Dune in 15mm. I just need to source models for Dune.

Awesome stuff. Yes please would be great to see you do more 15mm vehicles and terrain. I did try myself but assumed the original size was 28mm so scaled down to c.60%. I think the smaller/mid sized scale works much better in a truescale/primaris world to counter the scale creep - allowing larger forces while still retaining detail and individual feel more than epic. Yeah I love the idea of being able to quickly print off bits of terrain without worrying too much abut how much resin etc it's using.

Currently planning a new small scale project. Going to combine terrain and sci fi prints to do some kind of zombie apocalypse game board. Hopefully should be fun!
