omgosh rachel! i need to help redeem the whole banana bread experience LOL. this is my go-to recipe and it does not fail (i hope). please try and let me know how it goes!❤️ ingredients: 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter 1 1/2 cups of sugar 2 cups flour 4 browned bananas (yes, very ripe) 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 4 teaspoons of buttermilk 2 beaten eggs instructions: first, make sure your butter is soft (not completely melted or hard). i would also mix the wet ingredients first and then slowly mix in the dry ingredients in one large bowl. then place in your greased baking tin in the oven for 350F for 50min but start checking on it like at the 40min mark. might go a lil longer or less depending on your oven of course. let me know if you have any questions! xo

Make days a thing day. Like Mondays are for phone calls, Dr visits, Bill paying, basic desk work until 4 when I start setting up for work Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays are work days. Fridays are family day, Saturday is deep clean for cars, fans, bedding, floor boards, whatever is missed throughout the week and Sunday is rest

Things that kept me sane when I was freelance/self employed: -coworking (in a twitch stream, in a discord call, at a coffee shop) -batching similar tasks together and trying to do them at the same time every day -having deadlines throughout the day (“IDEALLY I’d like to have a first draft/edit done by 2pm so I can do admin tasks for an hour and come back to do the final edit” etc)

Love this video! Try something like “passion planner” if you're a list person or want to be able to plan every hour of your day. I include hobbies in this as well to prioritize balance just cause I'm a workaholic :)

The banana bread looks kinda dense, the baking powder or soda you used to leaven it might jot have worked. In terms of taste, maybe oatmilk just won't do it and you need regular milk for it.

@@RachelVinn Try this recipe its easy and so delicious 😋 3 bananas brown, mashed 1/3 cup melted butter 1/2- 1 cup sugar depends on how sweet you want it 1 egg whisked with a fork 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking soda pinch of salt 1 1/2 cups flour Preheat oven to 350 In a bowl, mix all ingredients by hand until well incorporated Pour into a greased bread pan (approx 9x4x4) Bake 50 minutes to 1 hour or until browned and toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean (check at about 50 minutes) Cool on a cooling rack
