Indeed. I got one for this purpose and to hopefully spot radioactive minerals. So far, no radioactive minerals found, but have found a number of areas that need better cleaning. I say, if you want a clean house, get a UV light and have at it.

Not really. Only UV-C is effective at sterilizing. And that would also cause cancer. This lamp(and most "blacklights") is using UV-A, which is pretty harmless to both humans and microbes.
Lorenzo Comensoli don't act like you know anything about uv spectrums and its effects because you know very little and this subject matter is very dangerous! *please stop giving people false advice before you seriously injure someone* UVC is not a joke stay the fuck away from it if you value your life it can create pits in your eyes that feel like someone has kicked sand in your eyes 24/7 and it won't go away for a long time.

At the end they have fluorescent paint on they're hands and the same did they splashed some on the oven and over the tiles on the wall etc. This is like the "secret pen" from childhood which had a blue light and u could see the writings xd there.s nothing spectacular, dirt or something like that, this is just fun. 😉
i have the same (?) black light cfl, not so great at doing this trick, this is astonishing!!... and those jumper wires have copper braids inside that is simply microscopic, solder those and they will snap a second after
Also funny that they don't care of ruining eyes. Ultra violet light to eyes like this damages them... retina damage and increased chance of eye diseases.
Yea, but it is a really high power flash light. I tested it on my skin and it actually tans you slightly. (I have the exact same) Also my eyes hurt when I look at things with it in the dark. I usually wear sunglasses when I use it, just in case.
