I installed an UltraCool on my 2008 Ultra Classic and I really like it. The 96 CI Twin Cam seems to get much hotter than my old 1985 80 CI Evolution motor. I would recommend this oil cooler for any big twin Harley. It works quite well IMO.
I have a 2014 Streetglide Special and I also have a Timeout Camper that I tow (loaded about 450lbs). Oil temp can get well into 300F so I searched for a solution. Seen UltraCool on RU-vid. I was really happy to find they have a distributor in Canada. Install was pretty easy, a litttle tigh but no problem. Looks great and seemed like quality parts. PROBLEM!! The fans lasted a total of 300km before rocks busted most of the fan blades. One of the fans had a rock stuck in it and that caused the motor to burn out, the other was barley turning and was making a bad squealing sound. The grill that comes with the kit has very little protection. So I fabricated a tighter screen so here’s hoping it works. I added a after pic. Has anyone else had this problem? I called Larry at UltraCool and he was really good about it and sent me new fans without question. I can’t say how well it performs but we will see this summer
I can confirm this to be true, with several temp test devices and onroad tests the oil in bikes does get over 212°F which is where the oil is less effective and sfter 2 long rides you might as well get an oil change but with an oil cooler you can maintain your oil at 180°~190° on long rides and once you hit traffic the fans will get the heat off your oil.
Dennis Morris I have a 19’ Road King and it doesn’t run that hot. Not sure if people with older bikes are having issues. I sat once in construction traffic and they were unloading a heavy piece of equipment and I knew it would take several minutes so I just shut off the engine. I’m hoping I never get these overheating issues.
Some Harleys have LC, but most are air cooled to keep that recognizable harley rumble since the side effect of a radiator is a feint high pitched screech

soo you made a oil radiator with 2 pc fans on it..... the average cfm of 1 server tower cooling fan is 300cfm the two fans only produce a meager 190 cfm. in conclusion this is a piece of Chinese crap that this video upsells. Case closed.
Yep, you can get these on ebay direct from china with no name on them for half the cost. Exact same thing, just no ultra cool label on it. I have the one off of ebay and its the same as my friends "ultracool" he paid twice the money for.
