I recently put together my Axial Bomber kit and painted the panels that come with it. I wanted a bit more surface and threw on a Ford F100 body made by Proline Racing, intended to be used on the Axial SCX10 with the Honcho rear cage. If you hack it up a bit, it is a perfect fit to the Bomber RR10 cage. It doesn't even require body clips to stay in place!
Don't be afraid that using tape stands in the way of putting some pretty detailed designs in your paint scheme. A steady hand and a lot of patience go a long way!

BEST Bomber I've ever seen! Literally! Really clever how you fit the body, but I would worry a bit, and maybe put one or two small pieces of Velcro. Just some insurance, for when we're climbing. If the body is going to fall off, it will be into a ravine, that me nor my friend could never retrieve it! (we're both in our 50's) Murph

That was the idea, what if you have a junker sitting around and you weld up a tube frame. I like how it offers a bit more surface to be painted.

Because I might get one but I want to see how fast it goes because I used to have a traxxas for at least 7 years 😂 but all those years I put a bunch of money in to it and it goes like 40 or 50 and I want something faster that I can customize and everything like that but yea that's why I want you to do the armma suntan

Hemistorm! love your channel. Question... after taping a body and using straight edge with x acto knife to cut the tape.. seems to me the cut line may create a "dam" making super crisp paint lines.. OR are you using such light pressure that it just barely cuts the tape? also would you recommend a tip for the hobby knife that works well! thank you in advance. GREAT WORK BIG FAN!!!

I used a SCX10 Honcho spare wheel mount on top of the fuel cell, and I flipped the rear part of the cage around to make it look a bit more aggressive.

What type of tape do you recommend for masking the RC bodies?

Quick question : I have a can of Tamika flat clear, will there any problems/flaking applying this on top of stickers/decals?

degrease them as well as you can and it should hold up fairly well. Never as good as on Lexan, unfortunately. The chemicals cause the paint to sort of "eat" its way into the surface, etching a nearly impossible to remove coat in it.

What tape are you using for pinstriping? I used Tamiya pinstripe tape and the PS Tamiya paint went under it, even though I burnished the hell out of it to try and make sure it was fully adhered. My Desert Raid Slash job turned out okay, but I'd really like to eliminate the mistakes from my first attempt.

What paint do you recommend to get a real chrome look? I have a proline GMC truck body and I need to paint the pipes. Or would you recommend another way to do them? I usually just throw some paint on body but I want this one to look good. Thanks!

That would be a silver anodized aluminum from Tamiya. I'm pretty sure you will be able to fit it on a Barrage with a bit of altering.

Totally depends on what you stuff in it, and what kind of gearing you run. The Yeti XL isn't really about speed, more about controlled realism with a live rear axle.
