Quick note about Panopticon and Pisyphus: - You can stand on top of the Panopticon during its mortar strike attack and be completely fine so long as you aren't directly hit by a projectile. - Parrying Pisyphus refills your stamina as well as your health. You need to consistently parry Pisyphus if you want to have enough stamina to dodge his attacks (or slide spam lmao).

I’m most definitely in the minority on this, but I adored the challenge of prepatch Sisyphus. It’s 100% my inner masochism and desire for a fight that asks for absolute perfection.

Remember to always punch Sisyphus in the Pissyphus. You can get health and stamina from it. Also, my theory for what is going to happen to V1 is that he is going to kill Gabriel. After that, he’ll run out of blood and become inanimate once more. Would be pretty poetic and quite sad as well since we all love our little vampiric go pro.

I think when sisyphus says yes that's it I think he's referring to the fact that he realized that you can finish what he started

I love Sisyphus Prime as a character. It embodies the King of Deception so well and he definitely shows that he's not a pushover. He after all pushed a Boulder up a mountain for an eternity biding his time before he could break out and cause chaos once again. The dude is definitely an awesome boss and the only rightful way to kill the dude was to launch a cannonball into the crotch he so proudly presents. And also the name of War for the piece of music that plays when you fight him makes sense considering his goal in the game.

This level was insane. Did attempts of it several times a week for a month until I got the P rank last week.

Doing Sisyphus Prime pre-patch was absolute hell.. and I didn't regret a second of it.

Pro tip for the Blood Tunnel: Use Sharpshooter (I used the Slab personally) and blow up Maurice's projectiles for a LOT more damage. It's way more consistent than a Core Nuke at killing the Virtues in Room 1 and Sentries in Room 2, AND it can actually damage Maurice! You'll have to wait a brief second for the projectiles to line up, but it's WAYYYYYY better than a Core Nuke at clearing the room.

Remembering that lore wise hell is alive, i still want p-3 to have hell itself as the fight before the prime soul. Like come on imagine dodging walls by whiplashing to the ceiling, how cool would that be. U could also have it split into phases based on how much damage u do to the room. Or as some other guy said, optimus prime.

The doors and the enemy spawns are canonically Hell Itself doing that, mostly for shits and giggles. P1 is a desolate little corner where a dangerous secret lies entombed. P2 is Hell throwing _literally everything it can_ at you to stop you from letting out something that was barely contained at all.

I just really hope that they might introduce a ultrakillified version of Able form the Kain and Able story. A version of Able who has essentially spent enough time in his immortal life contemplating existence, perspectives of every party involved in his punishment, what is happening currently and what else. Maybe he understands that god regrets much of what he has done, maybe he still contemplates why he left, but when you come around his like "you literally do this to bathe in blood, perish". Would be cool if that were to happen

For the entire level, every encounter had me like a masochist. "MORE!" The entire time

you got the 4th Testament a bit wrong. The 3rd Testament's narration suddenly losing it's all-caps text towards the end at '...and now, I can no longer unmake it' generally gives off the impression that God created Hell in an instance of frustration with his repeated failures to create a human without free will, and was subsequently horrified both with what he created and himself when the weight of what he did sank in. It's generally implied that he was housing a lot of guilt up to the point Lucifer asked him that question. The 4th Testament generally shows that God just horrified himself further when he cast Lucifer into Hell in a moment of terror.

I like the idea of tenbre rosse being the theme of a literal "artifical archangel";a machine created by the holy council to carry out their deeds.

I love how Ultrakill's weapons and damage are not some 1000000 damage stuff and bosses with 10x as much health Weapons deal a normal amount of damage, which sounds ridiculouslly low but bosses do not have a trillion point health bar. Very innovative!

There was Minos, the King of Lust, a benevolent man who brought a renaissance upon the Layer of Lust, who unfortunately was killed by Gabriel. There is Sisyphus, the Tyrant of Greed, a powerful man who brought his armies with him, daring to kill the gods, but was slain by a furious Gabriel. There will be *(likely)* Midas, the Leader of *(likely)* Fraud, whom no one knows anything of quite yet.

Lore for this game is funny. You got all this back story and explanations for weapons and characters and events. The lore for the gameplay itself is, robot need blood to live. Hell has blood. Other robot bored. Robot want to see cool thing

it scares me that P-2 has the entire ultrakill cast to fight you before fighting sisyphus, it makes me scared for P-3.

I was actually a little suprised to see the whole challenge it'self nerfed after I beat him. as before that I felt like it was like a kaizo lvl. yeah it was hard but we are on the RAGE layer of hell which made me think that the difficulty was on purpose. Only the find out later (as in now) that it wasn't ment to be that hard...huh

I am kinda sad at the fact the entire Boredom transcript was skipped over, like the skull keys have some cool lore but the fucking point system just being how well you entertain the data terminals is fucking sick and shows how much level of detail Hakita has put into the game so far. Makes me worry about the final act and how ULTRAKILL difficulty would end up working if that ever gets added in

it makes me think the third and final prime soul is gonna be so hard even the best of ultrakill players will struggle againts it

i think P-3 boss will be Aeëtes, cause of his family and by the order of the king in greek mythology like the minos and sisyphus

I did this fight day one on violent with a friend of mine in call doing it as well. He finished first and gaslit me into expecting a mandatory parry after his second phase. Luckily it never came, but it took me more than 600 deaths and 4 hours to figure it out.

After beatinf and playing P-2 over and over again and finally getting a P-Rank, I can confidentally say that my fingers are tired

the fact that my first time with minos took a huge 47 tries to beat and yet the entirdy of P-2 only took 17 makes me feel proud of myself

The red revolver singlehandedly changed the way I play the game. It made me focus way more on projectiles and abusing them for damage and style, but more importantly it made me completely change several of my room openers. For example, in the weezer room for P-2, my previous go-to strat was to set down a sawtrap and core nuke the cerberussy for a pretty quick and consistent - if boring - kill. As of the release of the redvolver though, I've placed the saw trap, spun up my red slab revolver, lined the band up and blasted them in the head along with a blue railcannon shot. This not only gives way more style than a core nuke, but also deals more damage and gives you way more of those satisfying as hell hitstops which are great for avoiding their early attacks. It's a little less consistent, sure, but it's well worth it. I use the same strategy against the two snipers and the swordsmachine in the next encounter, which instantly kills the snipers and does an absolute number on the SM. I used to hate tight areas but now I love them because it's just another opportunity to mince some poor denizen of hell with the power of the ocelot unit.
